It's time now to get

and offering real hope.
Today's show will encourage, inspire and empower you to face
life's challenges with a boldconfidence and renewed hope.
Now let's join our host, ronMeyers.
The Provider.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Hello, my friends, it
is so good to be with you.
Let me take a sip of my dark, robust coffee.
That's right.
My coffee with Jesus is soimportant and during my coffee
with Jesus I ask him so, jesus, what are we going to talk about
(00:46):
today?
And today I want to take thenext few minutes and encourage
you.
Has anybody this weekencouraged you, told you how you
were a awesome individual, thatGod has a plan for you?
Probably not too many people.
(01:08):
So I'm going to encourage youand empower you for the next few
minutes, because withoutencouragement, without
empowerment, without inspiration, it is hard to survive.
I mean, how many times have youbeen beat up, chewed up and spit
(01:32):
out to fend for yourself?
And you're supposed to go home, love the kiddos, play with
Muffy the dog and puff the catand be kind and sweet and
compassionate and considerate toyour spouse.
And so you sit in your car, give yourself a pep talk and you
(01:57):
tell yourself self I've got tobe in a good mood, I have to be
in the right frame of mind.
It's hard, it's hard, and a lotof the people that I know and
probably you do too that arehaving tough times in life are
the ones that believe in thegood life and they attend church
(02:22):
and you get your childreninvolved in activities, whether
it's soccer, softball or dance.
You want to be the good parent.
But who motivates you when yougive all the motivation to
everyone else?
Who pats you on the back andsays good job?
(02:42):
Who picks you up when you falldown?
Wouldn't you just like to beappreciated for who you are and
not be told how to be likesomebody else?
How many times have you saidquit comparing me to others.
I am me.
(03:06):
It happens, does it happen toyou?
And you have to maintain thatstrong composure.
You've got to look like nothingis wrong, because you
definitely don't want to lookwimpy or weak.
Hey, I learned one thing withJesus you can have coffee with
(03:26):
Jesus, but I'm telling you hedoes make you become a little
wimpy and weak.
In this way, you don't have aproblem telling people you're
sorry.
You don't have a problemrecognizing that you may have
said a boneheaded thing, and itdoesn't take too long to
(03:47):
apologize, because you know whyyou are going to do that,
because something is going totell you inside to do it,
because it's just the rightthing to do.
What advice did your mom tellyou growing up, or maybe use
your dad some advice.
You know my mom even thoughmost of the time she was wapping
(04:08):
me across the butt or my headwith her shoe she did say
something that I think aboutquite a bit In life, all you
have to do is do the right thing.
If you do the right thing, everything else will take care
of itself.
It really is true.
You think about it.
Some of your problems, some ofmy problems, are self-imposed.
(04:32):
It's me with the stinkin'thinking.
Do you have that stinkin'thinking?
Do you hear some news andautomatically assume the worst
when you hear that A lot of usdo?
It's human nature.
I mean, how can anybody be saneif you are consumed with the
(04:55):
news all the time?
I have not hardly watched anyof the news since the last
election.
I'm free, I'm free, but you knowwhat?
Nothing I can do to change theworld.
Nothing I can do.
Can you do something?
Can you go out there and changethe world?
(05:16):
Can you complain and telleverybody at work or down at the
local drinking hold or swimmingpool or whatever?
Can you tell them what you'regoing to do to change the world?
And then, okay, are you gonnado it?
You can't do it.
We all know what should be done, or we think we know what
should be done, but we have nocontrol, do we?
(05:39):
We have no control.
You can't do anything exceptcomplain.
But what you can do, you canchoose what kind of attitude you
are going to walk around with.
You can choose, when you get up, what your day is going to look
like.
You can choose to have adialogue with Jesus, somebody
(06:06):
that knows every hair on yourhead, every desire, every
thought, every sin, every goal, every failure, every success,
everything since you were in thewomb of your mother.
What happens if you have arelationship with Jesus?
Because I've had a lot of crazyrelationships in my life,
(06:32):
whether it be with God or peopleor you know who knows but there
is something that happened whenI totally was immersed and
pushed in to Jesus for aintimate relationship, because I
(06:53):
had to find some answers.
Have you ever been in thatsituation that you just need
some peace?
You just need an answer.
You want to know why your ideasnever seem to work, or how come
the business that you startedfailed.
(07:13):
How come relationships thatyou're in never seem to
materialize into somethinglong-lasting.
They just disappear.
See, those are the things thatwill drive you nutty, because
you can't control them.
(07:34):
You let outside circumstancescome into your life and shape
your mood, your goals, yourdreams, your hopes, everything
what you're doing with your life.
But when you let go and justfall into the arms of Jesus,
(07:56):
this is what's so cool, friends.
The first thing that happenswhen you call on Jesus, he gives
you a new heart.
He takes out that mean, stonyold heart and does a spiritual,
surgical heart transplant, andnow you've got a new heart, new
(08:20):
attitude.
And the next thing, your sins, all your sins past, present and
future are forgiven.
In other words, you are holy, you are sanctified, you are in
good standing with God.
The Bible says that we aremarried to Christ.
(08:43):
He is our groom and we are thebride, and God does not like
divorce, so you never have toworry about him leaving you,
kicking you out of therelationship.
You're locked in forever.
So I want you to think aboutthis.
Imagine your life if you reallyreally could go through life
(09:07):
without guilt, withoutcondemnation, knowing your sins
are forgiven.
You still will stumble, youwill still make mistakes, but
there is nothing being heldagainst you.
Your behavior does not save you.
Your behavior does not take youaway from the intimacy with God
(09:31):
, because Jesus is alive insideof you.
So what would happen if youabsolutely, totally believe that
and you trusted Jesus witheverything that you do in your
day to day walk?
How would your life change?
(09:53):
Do you think you'd be a littlehappier?
Do you think that saying of Iwas blind but now I see would
come to happen in your life?
In other words, you were blindto the opportunities, you were
blind to the beauty that Jesushas waiting for you, and now you
(10:14):
see.
You see life has a freeindividual living in the
finished work of Jesus and nowyou can totally become
everything that he created youto be.
Jesus needs you, you to stepinto the fullness of your
(10:37):
destiny.
Jesus needs you to step intowhat he has called you for.
You are a solution to a lot ofthe problems in your community,
in your workplace, in this world, and when you are walking by
faith and allowing everythingyou do to express Jesus through
(11:02):
your attitude, through yoursmiles, your compassion, you
have the fruits of the spirit.
You're beginning to love.
The unlovable things arechanging in your life and you
just sometimes will sit at astoplight or at lunch and you'll
say, man, I'm really amchanging.
This is pretty cool, I likethis, I like my new attitude.
(11:25):
And then when you go home, youdon't have to sit in the
driveway and try to get psychedup before you'll walk into the
house because you're eager to gointo the house, and then you
see your spouse in a differentlight, you see your children in
a different light.
You see them as Jesus would.
(11:46):
Doing life with Jesus is theonly way.
I don't understand how anybodyanybody could do life in 2023
without Jesus.
I'm going to take a break andwhen I return, let's talk some
more encouragement.
I'll think of something while Idrink my coffee during the
(12:09):
break.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
You're listening to
Get the Hell Out of your Life
with your host, ron Myers.
Real stories, real strugglesand real hope.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Have you ever
wondered what your worth?
A recent study by WiredMagazine found that the human
body is worth 45 million dollars.
The study carefully wentthrough the different organs,
bone marrow, dna andreproductive capabilities found
in each of us.
But what makes us even morevaluable, beyond calculation, is
our human soul.
(12:41):
In Psalm 139, the Bible saysthat our soul is very special to
God, even while we were stillin our mother's womb.
But because of sin, the badthoughts and the things that we
all do, we are all separatedfrom our Creator.
That's why God sent His onlySon, jesus, to take our
punishment for those sins.
Jesus died in Rose again todefeat death and offer
(13:05):
forgiveness.
To learn more about Jesus andhow to have a personal
relationship with Him, call888-Need-Him or go to
wwwchataboutjesuscom.
A relationship when Jesus ispriceless.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
God is in the details
, even in the broken parts.
He holds my heart.
He never fails when I'm at myweakest.
I will trust in Jesus.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Welcome back
listeners.
Is God in your story?
The story that is about tounfold in your life is written
by you.
Now you have the opportunity toedit it, to change it, to do
things that you really believeshould be in the story.
(14:04):
But sometimes the world haswritten the narrative for our
story and we've heard it so muchthat we begin to believe it.
Can you relate to that?
Are you someone that you reallyaren't, but you are being what
(14:26):
people have told you you are?
I Want to take you back toyears ago, as a child.
If you're over 50, you probablywill remember this.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Who goes there?
Oh well, then that's okay.
Okay, who may I ask, are you?
We're Rudolph and Hermie andyou, con Cornelius.
Sir, who are you?
I'm the official sentry of theisland of misfit toys that Jack
in the box for a century.
Yes, my name is don't tell meJack, no, charlie.
(15:08):
That's why I'm a misfit toy.
My name is all wrong.
No child wants to play with aCharlie in the box, so I had to
come here.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Where's here?
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Island of misfit toys
.
I Remember the first time I sawthat.
I don't know how old I was, Iwas a little youngster, but I
was the black sheep of thefamily, so I really did feel
like a misfit toy.
Can you relate?
Maybe today you still feel likea misfit toy.
(15:51):
You've got something inside ofyou.
You've got dreams and talentsand ideas, but they never seem
to Materialize because the worldhas written your story.
But God, his desire, is For youto be true to yourself, for you
(16:14):
to become you totally free, totally possible, to become
Everything that he has createdyou to be.
If you listen to him, if youdevelop that intimate, personal,
one-on-one relationship withJesus, it's amazing the ideas
(16:42):
and the thoughts and theencouragement and the
inspiration you will have.
It will even get you to a pointone day that you begin to stand
up for yourself, that you areGoing to walk in to the fullness
(17:03):
of your destiny and you're notgoing to do it because of Force
or I'm going to get even withpeople know, when Jesus Raises
you up into the person that hehas created you to be, things
just fall in place.
(17:24):
And I know a lot of skeptics outthere.
They just haven't been able totrust God.
But I want to ask a skeptic Iwant you to reflect back over
your life.
Have you ever been in the rightplace at the right time,
receive the phone call just whenyou needed it, or you ran into
(17:48):
someone that you needed to runinto?
Now some people will call thatcoincidental, but I believe it
was divine appointments.
God is so loud in this world, showing the world that he's real
, he's here, but we're so Busy, trying to be like somebody else,
(18:10):
trying to admire a star or apreacher.
You know, I get a lot of peoplethat send me things that you
know a famous preacher or aprophet has forecast and they
said, ron, what do you think?
(18:30):
And my response is I Don't wantto live my life in my
relationship with Jesus based onhearsay, based on the opinions
of what other people Arebelieving is going to happen in
this world, because it all comesdown to opinion.
It really does.
They interpret the Bible thisway, or they see a dream and a
(18:53):
vision and they say this isgoing to happen, but I need to
go right to the source.
I need to go right to Jesus.
What about you?
Doesn't that make sense?
Why are we going to themiddleman.
Why aren't we going straight toJesus?
Because that's 100% truth and Ireally don't care what people
(19:15):
think of about when the end oftime is going to come or the
return of Christ.
I'm busy living today and beingthe best I can, being the best
I can Through Jesus in myday-to-day walk, because if I
can't take care of today and Ithink you will agree with this
if you and I take care of today, the tomorrows take care of
(19:39):
themselves.
We cannot solve the problems inthis world, but what we can do
is step in to the promises ofGod to become everything that he
created us to be, and thatmeans a life, an abundant life
of peace, of purpose, of joy, ofcompassion, of love.
(20:03):
In my community a few weeks agoa 13-year-old young lady
committed suicide because ofbeing bullied at school and a
lot of people's comments arethose kids, those kids that
bully.
That's terrible.
It is terrible, but it evengoes past the kids.
(20:23):
It's the parents.
We have got to tell our youngpeople how wonderfully made they
are in the image of God, thatthey have a plan, and it doesn't
matter what other people say.
It doesn't matter if otherpeople have placed you on the
island of misfit toys.
(20:44):
Because Jesus comes to theisland of misfit toys and
restores and reconciles therelationship with God, the
Father, and those misfit toysblend in and become everything
they were created to be.
They don't have guilt anymore, they don't have shame, they
(21:08):
don't have condemnation, becausethey are comfortable in who
they are.
Are you comfortable in who youare?
Do you hold things back, thatyou don't tell anybody, and you
lay on your pillow at night, perhaps a tear Are concerned
(21:31):
because you know something ismissing.
That's the beautiful thingabout Jesus he wants you to feel
something missing, so you willbegin to search for it.
That's Ronnie, the island ofmisfit toys.
This whole world is an islandof misfit toys.
(21:52):
You know I refer a lot to thefinished works of Jesus, and so
maybe you don't know what thefinished work of Jesus is
because we don't hear enough inchurch.
The finished work of Jesusrefers to the complete and final
accomplishment of salvationthrough His death and
(22:13):
resurrection.
It means that Jesus has doneeverything necessary for our
forgiveness, redemption andreconciliation with God.
Through His sacrifice on thecross, jesus paid the price for
our sins once and for all, providing total forgiveness and
(22:35):
cleansing.
This finished work of Jesusmeans that we no longer need to
strive our work to earn God'sfavor or forgiveness.
We can rest in the assurancethat our salvation is secure and
that we are fully accepted byGod because of what Jesus has
(22:58):
done for us.
Friends, when you understandthat, you believe that and you
trust that and you are justconsumed with the finished work
of Christ, your life will change.
You will no longer be thatmisfit toy on an island, all
alone and isolated.
(23:19):
You will find that you are achild of God with a purpose and
a plan, and that this is yourtime.
I believe it's time right nowfor all those that feel
different to recognize that youfeel different and you feel
unaccepted and you feel misfit, because God is getting your
(23:42):
attention and this is your timeto step into the destiny, the
purpose that he has for you.
My friends, I know I've done it,I've lived it and the first
thing that Jesus told me yearsago Ron, now go tell your story.
Go tell the story to the othermisfit toys out there that there
(24:07):
is no misfit toys with Jesus.
We're accepted, exactly who weare and what we do, and our
behavior and our weird thingshave never disqualified us from
that relationship with Jesus.
All we have to do is say Jesus,I believe in you.
(24:27):
I need you Remember the finalwords that Jesus said on the
cross.
It is finished, friends.
He did it.
He did it and not only to putanother exclamation point the
thief next to him that lived anentire life without any
(24:48):
relationship with God, but yethe does a deathbed confession.
And Jesus says today you willbe with me in paradise.
If you are ready to discovereverything that God has for you,
you need to rest in thefinished work of Jesus, believe
(25:09):
it and act and walk in faith andwatch your world change right
in front of your very eyes.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
You're listening to
Get the Hell Out of your Life

We want to encourage you todaywith God's promise to you.
(26:11):
It comes from the book ofJeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11.
For I know the plans I have foryou, declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not toharm you.
Plans to give you hope and thefuture.
That's God's promise to youwhen you choose to commit your
(26:33):
plans and future to Him.
Now back to Ron.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Well, friends,
there's nothing that gives me
more pleasure than a misfit toylike me that grew up with so
much garbage in my life and toldI wouldn't amount to a hill of
beans being used by Jesus.
Because I can share what he didfor me and what he wants to do
(27:00):
for you.
It really is a good life.
It all begins with trusting andbelieving in the finished work
of Jesus.
He did it all, so quit, tryingto please God because he is
pleased with you.
Walk in His finished work andremember there is no
(27:23):
condemnation, there is no guilt, there is no shame in Jesus.
You have been chosen for thistime and I know that when you
trust and you believe Jesus withall your heart, mind and soul,
your world will change forever.
You will actually smile again, you will laugh again.
(27:45):
You will understand the wordsof Jesus when he said I came to
give you life and life moreabundantly.
Well, I'm outta here.
