Speaker 1 (00:00):
As your off season been, it's been good. It's spen good.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Anything new, Uh not really no, and uh been up
here just uh getting ready to go. So now we're
a few weeks into OTA's everything's going well. So just
trying to trying to improve every day, get all the
new guys caught up, and and uh make sure we're
we're taking a step every day, you see, to enjoy.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Playing with your new toy out there at twelve.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah, Uh, Darren's been great. You know, I think as
soon as you walk on the field, you can see
you know, he he's Uh, he's a big guy. He
can run, he can run every route, catches a ball
really well, great body control. So he's been He's been
really fun to work with. A really smart guy. Uh
has picked up things really quickly too.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
What size do your games?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I thought, does he have to play with them?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I don't, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I mean I think, Uh, it feels like you hear
about most guys and you see them in the program
and they're listed at six six, you know, and they're
really like six four six five.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
But he's like a true six six, He's a true you.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Know, two fifty two sixty and can fly, I can run,
can run all the routes.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
He's just an impressive athlete.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And yeah, he's just been locked in.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You can tell it's important to him.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
He's he's uh, you know, put a lot of effort
into learning and stuff and getting caught up and uh, yeah,
it's been fun.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Working with him. Looking get too for your audience, and
how much do you do hitching broth? Uh, he can
do a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
He's obviously a tough matchup for people for defenses, Uh,
with a guy who can run like that with that
kind of size, and how you play him in man
and how you account for him.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
And zone coverages.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
So yeah, he definitely gives something for the defense to
worry about or to to game plan four. And we
can move him around put them in different spots. But
just a super versatile player. Daniel, what are your.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Early impressions of John Michael Schwetz. Uh, Yeah, he's been
great too. He's he's been great.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
He's a smart guy, been in here working, he's on
it every day, Uh, working to to learn and and
and understand what we're doing in protections, what we're doing
in the run game. Obviously, this is more of a
passing camp, so you know, a lot of that run
stuff's happening in meetings and then walkthroughs out here.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
But he's doing a great job, and uh, it's been
fun working with what's your opinion that did Waal Snett?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Uh, it's been good. Yeah, I'm I'm good with it.
He's he's accurate, and yeah, I'm good with it.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
He said he was gonna ask you, you know, if
you were if you wanted to do it basically, and
you were okay with it.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So I'm assuming by that answer he said, yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I did. Yeah, Yeah, he asked me.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I said, yeah, you did you notice the difference in
uh speed with this team from a year ago receiver wise?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I mean, does it feel like you have more guys
that can run, fly and be guys?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, I mean I think we got we got a
lot of guys who've played, who've played a lot of football,
have a really good experience in this league, make a
lot of plays who can who can do different things.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
So yes, be certainly part of that, right and you know,
like you.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Know, we're learning, learning what everyone's good at or how
they feel, what they feel comfortable doing, and and trying
to set guys up to to do those things and
and uh, you know, put us all in a position
to be successful.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Dane or what have you learned about about him?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Kind of as a guy, A guy that you're gonna
probably connect with a lot on the football field, but
I would guess also try to connect with him to some.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Degree off of heal. Yeah, I mean he's a real
deep thinking guy.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
You can tell that, you know, he uh you know,
cares about the relationships he has with guys on the team,
and and uh, you know it's extremely uh you know,
humble and authentic and who he is and you know,
I you have a ton of respect for that and
and who he is as a as a person, as
a teammate, he's you know, for all the reasons I

(03:53):
said before and then all those reasons, it's been you know,
a lot of fun working with him. Daniel would just say,
this is the most most excited since he cred with
the blagness they put in. Uh yeah, I mean I
think you know, I've been excited going into going into
every year.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
But yeah, there's a lot of work to do.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
But like I said, we got a lot of a
lot of good guys, a lot of good players who
made a lot of plays in this league and can
do a lot of different things. So I'm excited to
think we all are. But there's a long way to
go for us now, and and uh, we're focused on
taking a step every day. What's your mindset being in
the second year of the same system now, Yeah, it's

(04:32):
definitely it's definitely beneficial for for myself as well as
all the guys who have been here haven't learned it.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Having learned, havn't learned it once.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
But I think in that, you know, we don't want
to skip steps or look over anything, uh during this
time of the year, and and we're focused on, uh,
continuing to evolve and and uh you know, change up
what we're doing, experiment with different things that that may
be good for us.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
And so you know, in that we're always kind of.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Learning, We're always adjusting and and you know, trying to
work on on new and different things.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, how strange is it to be out there without Saquon?
And from your s standpoint, how important is it that
that gets resolved at some point? Yeah, I mean I think.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
That's obviously Saquon's uh business, that's between him and the team.
Obviously Saquan is a is a close friend of mine,
and he's been a very important part of what we've
done here and and uh he's a tremendous part of
this offense. So you know, I hope, hope they can
get something done that's between between them.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
So what are you in touch with him at this point? Uh?
I talked to him pretty regularly, you see, and just
been throwing to a tight end. Who wears twelve as
opposed to eighty or uh? Not? Really? No, I mean,
uh no, he looks good and and that's his that's
his number. I think it looks good on him. You Yeah,

(05:55):
other day an buddy para we did? Yeah? Uh how uh?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
I guess how impressed were you with with the turnout
you got from your teammates?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
And back to sake one first? Like he was there.
Obviously he can't be here, but he was there.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
So what did that say to teammates about him?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, we had a good turnout in Arizona.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Uh, just about everybody made it out there, and I
think that was good force to spend some time together.
We spent some time on the field, working out and
introducing some stuff. And yeah, like I said, Saque is
a big part of what we've done here. He's been
a great teammate to everybody in the locker room. And
uh yeah, I think that says a lot about him
as a as a guy.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
An lots of in mind, if you like, are you guys.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Going in with the impression that he's probably gonna be
playing for you or.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
To come and show up at some point, whether it's
summer or whatever.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Yeah, I mean, I think, like I said, that's between
between him and the team, and and and I hope
they can get something done. He's a he's a great player,
a big part of this team.
