point lead about halfway through the fourth quarter of the
Giants figure out a way to lose to the Chicago
Bears twenty four to twenty.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
John Schmelt, Tiki Barber with you.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
We'll hear from Brian Dable on the podium in a
little bit. We'll have all the reaction from the locker
room as well, and Tiki, Bob and Carl talking about
this at the end of the game. Another road game
where the Giants had a significant lead in the fourth
quarter and they were not able to hold on to it.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, they couldn't hold onto it. This is simply not
a winning team and they don't have the DNA to
win games that are tight, and most games, unfortunately in
the NFL, are going to be tight like this. It
comes down to making plays, making the right decisions, managing
the game the right way. And it was everybody's fault,
whether it was Jackson Dart's fumble, which ultimately I think
(01:15):
got him knocked out of this game. I don't know
if he had a concussion at that moment, or maybe
he did, but it wasn't diagnosed because he came back
in after an eighty yard drive by the Chicago Bears
and played two or three snaps and then was out
for the rest of the game. And Russell Wilson comes
in his asked to do very little, but couldn't do
very much, only completed three passes for forty five yards.
(01:38):
Forty one of those yards came on a dump down
behind the line of scrimmants to Devin Singletary, who made
a great play to pick up the first down and
go forty one yards down the sideline. But on that
drive they couldn't score in touchdown. They get inside the
very tight red area and have to settle for a
field goal, and at the moment, I agreed with the call,
so just get the points at that moment instead of
(02:00):
being able to score, so they couldn't score in that
very tight red area they had the they could not
get with Caleb Williams on the ground. Multiple times he
was in the pocket, almost sacked. He kept scrambling, kept
finding ways to extend plays and then ultimately picks up
yards with his legs and scored a couple touchdowns on
the ground as well. And then you get Jamie Gillen
(02:23):
shanking a punt in the most critical time of the game.
Just across the board defensively, offensively, special teams wise, this
team is playing losing football. They're not playing horrible, but
they're playing losing football. Figuring out and knowing how to
win games in this league it's hard. I'm not saying
by any means it's easy, but the DNA of this
(02:45):
team is not winning, and it shows when you lose
games like this. By winning by leading by ten midway
through the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
And then Tiki throw in on one of those drives,
the Giants have two penalties to put them back and
they end up punting on that drive, and then on
the giants next to last offensive drive on a third
and seven, they mess up their protections and have a
free runner on Russell Wilson so the offensive line played
a role in this as well, and the proverbial cherry
(03:12):
on top. I'll try to think of a better expression
for something bad. Was Jackson Dart leaving this game with
the concussion? Yeah, I mean, yeah, we just we just
start with that. Yeah, Jackson Dart is in this game.
You get the sense they maybe win this one, But
Jackson Dart is unavailable for the fourth quarter of this
game when you need the most your most clutch offensive.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Players not available. Part of that is on Jackson Dart.
Part of it is on the play calling and you
know running you know, he's QB sweeps or keep QB
gap scheme plays that ultimately put him in harm's way.
And I wanted Russell Wilson to have his hero moment.
I know, we were talking about this as we're watching
this game, and it just didn't feel like he was
(03:50):
capable of doing it.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Hey, Bob said it. It looked like he was looking
at the rush, whether it was there or not.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, you're absolutely right. And look, I get the play
calling early when he's playing, simply because you need to
run clock, you need to get first downs on the ground.
They weren't able to do it, and when he had
to get back and throw the football. It just felt
like it was it was not going to happen, and
the Giants lose another game that they probably could have
and should have not could have. They should have won
(04:18):
this game and they can't find a way.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
To That's today's game breakdown, brought to you locally by
Ford One Performance and Capability. At every turn, we'll get
behind the wheel of a new Ford truck or SUV,
Ford Official Truck and SUV of.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
The New York Giants. Time out. Giants fall to the
Bears twenty four to twenty.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
They are now two and eight well from Brian Dable
coming up when we return on the WFN Giants Radio Network.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
You're listening to Giants Extra Point on the WFAN Giants
Radio Network.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Dark in a shotgun set, two receivers left. Dart's gonna
keep it on a fake handoff. He's got a leap
locker and illuminit. Art Dart inside the twenty and then
took up a big d The fall came out and
the Bears recovered it. There is he down by contact, No,
They're Saint Chicago Fall.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
And that really ended up being the turning point of
the game. Jackson Doll would later be removed from the game.
We don't know how that concussion got reported, whether it
came now from upstairs, if it was self reported, but
hopefully we're from Brian Dablet to podium about that in
just a little bit. But that fumble happened at the
Bear's twenty eight yard line. Tiki and the Giants offensers rolling.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
At that point.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
They had had consecutive drives of eighty yards, seventy yards,
fifty three yards, fifty six yards, and that was a
fifty nine yard drive before the fumble, which it was
a run for a first down on the play. They
would go seventy nine yards on the next drive for
a field goal. But you get points there. This game
could be very different. Jacksonville doesn't get hurt there, this
game could be very different.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
That's where really this whole thing started to change. Turnovers
decide wins and losses in the NFL. We said it
at a halftime, what were the keys The Giants needed
to get a turnover defensively, which they did not do,
and more importantly, they needed to run the ball. So
they did those things. They ran the football and that
drive Russell Wilson was in the game seventy nine that
(06:06):
most of that yardage came on the ground. Tyron Tracy
had a big play, Devin Singletary had to catch that
converted the third down.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Jihans almost ninety rushing yards in the second half just
by the running back one.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
They did a good job in certain parts of this game,
but football is not about statistics. It's about finding ways
to win games. And this team just couldn't do it
offensively or defensively at all. And it just it makes
you question that some of the decisions that go into
this game by the players, it makes decisions by the coaches,
(06:37):
and again in retrospect, they should have went for it
on fourth and one from the half yard line because
there was a penalty on the Bears at that point,
and if you don't make it, what's the worst is
going to happen? They have to go ninety nine yards.
You still have a two score, you know, at that
point it's a one score lead because they didn't they
hadn't kicked the field goal yet. But you almost felt
(06:58):
like as soon as you put the Bears in an
urgent position, they were going to execute, and the Giants
defense was not going to be able to execute. And
I give the Giants, I mean they were getting after him,
they just couldn't get him on the ground. It's the
details of tackling a guy who was as strong of
a runner as Caleb Williams that this team simply couldn't do.
(07:20):
Part of it was Keevon Thibodeau. He has likely an
arm issue or a peck issue or whatever it may be,
because he looked limited in his ability to bring guys
down to the ground. But the Bears took advantage of
the weaknesses of this Giants team getting first downs, which
is one and then also making big stop defensively. Here's
blind Davi with the podium as he.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Was going back out on the field. Just didn't seem right.
So called the trainers over and said let's get him
out and make sure he gets looked at. So he
went in and got looked at and ended up being
evaluated for concussion. Ten point lead there in the fourth quarter,
(08:06):
and you give them credit.
Speaker 6 (08:09):
They made a lot of plays.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Quarterback, made a lot of plays, a lot of loose plays,
scramble plays, and just didn't get the job.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
Done after that.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Penalty. Yeah, for the half yard line I guess your
fourth and go with the half.
Speaker 7 (08:29):
Did you think it made.
Speaker 8 (08:30):
We'll go for here?
Speaker 6 (08:31):
Yeah, I thought I thought about it.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
I thought take the points, get a ten point lead,
and the fourth I thart the defense was playing good.
Speaker 9 (08:39):
So, Brian, we've talked to you a lot about the
number of hits that Jackson takes with the running, not
getting down things like that.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Is is this.
Speaker 9 (08:47):
One where you feel like it caught up to him.
This is the fourth time he's been checked for concussion.
Speaker 6 (08:53):
He was sore of getting up a week ago. Yeah. Yeah,
it's unfortunate, but you know, unfortunately got hurt. Right, What
is happening with your defense?
Speaker 10 (09:06):
Then?
Speaker 6 (09:06):
It just seems like there's too many.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
Of these easy lead Yeah, they made you know, they
made some good plays there at the end, Caleb, I thought,
you know, we had them a number of times where
we didn't get him down in the extended plays, which
we knew he would. He did in the Raiders game,
He's done in plenty of games. He did the series
before he booted out on the last series and went
(09:31):
down and scored. You know, it's tough, tough, uh, tough
way to lose. Immediately after the play that bumbled because
it looked like.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
He hit his head and was yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
No, I mean they know, no he wasn't, so if
they would have called him down. But when he was
going in there, somebody said something like, what like, don't
put him in So just a clarify you, Yeah, I did, Yeah,
coaches on the sideline, but.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Yeah, just took him out.
Speaker 11 (10:06):
You're talking about like when he was back out play.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Yeah, I don't know when it was pat it was
in between a series, so I think it was good
to go back out there. Well, I said make sure
you go get checked by the doctors and brought the
trainers over. That's what I did say.
Speaker 12 (10:21):
Unfortunate, Like a lot of people would say, well, if
you keep getting your quarterback hid, like.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
The likely with this, something.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Happens like this obsce fourth time he.
Speaker 13 (10:30):
Has been checking, Well happen.
Speaker 14 (10:32):
What do you say to that?
Speaker 6 (10:33):
I yet, Yeah, I just say it's unfortunate you got.
Speaker 9 (10:37):
Hurt, right, I mean, is this sustainable the way that
he's playing. I know you don't want to dampen his competitiveness,
and you love his fire and all that stuff, but
I mean he's not two hundred and fifty pounds and
this hits that he's taking. It clearly taken a total
point where now he's got a concussion and it's going
to miss time.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Uh yeah, Look, I'm not sure exactly the play that
had happened, Connor, So.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
You know, I'm just I'm concerned for the kid.
Speaker 15 (11:04):
What do you mean by that?
Speaker 5 (11:05):
I don't know the exact play that it happened for
him relative to.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Getting hurt or not getting hurt.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
But I don't I don't know the play.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Uh, I don't. I don't know the play. I don't
know when it was.
Speaker 5 (11:21):
I mean, I just I just know that when he
was going back out there and we were sitting around
the huddle, I saw him.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
I got Ronnie over there is to check him out.
Speaker 10 (11:31):
Right.
Speaker 9 (11:31):
Will we'll Russell start next week of Jackson kid?
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Yeah, we'll see. I mean right now, we just had
a had a tough one here Connor.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
We'll take a look at everything. He went back after
the next drive for two plays.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Are you saying you saw it at the quarter break?
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Like Pat, I don't know when I saw it. I
just saw it when we were we were a huddle
up there, the coaches were talking and never put a
guy out there that you know, it's always hurt.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Why do you think that the team kid finishing close games?
And what do you what do you see that in
these games that you guys, can't you just.
Speaker 16 (12:03):
Get it done?
Speaker 6 (12:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (12:06):
I mean there was a number of things today, So
there was you know, all three phases.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
Just didn't get the job done. Jordan.
Speaker 12 (12:15):
Well, do you feel like you're having answer they turned around?
Speaker 6 (12:19):
Yeah? Yeah, but it hasn't been.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
So there's another tough loss. I believe in the guys.
We have people in the in the room, coaches and players.
Lost another tough one, Connor, So you gotta start doing it.
Speaker 17 (12:39):
What have as some of these bad collapses, lad have happened?
Speaker 13 (12:44):
What have you tried to do to stop them from
happening again?
Speaker 2 (12:47):
So, in other words, when you look.
Speaker 18 (12:48):
At them, like let's say Dallas Denver, when you see
a game like this starting to spiral, what have you
talked to the team about to try to prevent it
from happening today?
Speaker 5 (12:59):
Yeah, we'll have another play mentality? Uh, you know, I
thought Shane tried to mix it and you know a
number of times these last couple of drives, play zone pressure,
play man, the two.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
Guy, the two plays that that Caleb got out. Were man.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
You know, there was a number of plays. You know,
we had a punt that game, the short field. You know,
there was a number of plays. Just one thing, which usually.
Speaker 19 (13:23):
Is are you worried about your job too many?
Speaker 5 (13:27):
Yeah, I'm just focused on you know these guys in
the locker room.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
You well, you kicked the field a short field goal.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
You didn't kick some lower field goals.
Speaker 20 (13:36):
Was that a conditions issue, a wind issue, a cool issue?
Speaker 18 (13:41):
What we was?
Speaker 5 (13:42):
No, you know, the one to Belly, I thought we
had a good play.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
I thought KLF had a good play.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
You know, had a number of fourth down and one place,
you know, the first one fired, came down. We had
a little pick play for Wan Dell and just didn't
hit that one. Uh felt kind of a hard play
action to Belly which was close there in.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
The end zone.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
We hit the fourth and one the motor where he
made a great play and I'm not sure he would
have had it, but ended up making a great play
for it.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
Had to keep to so forth.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
You know, four times hit two and and didn't hit
the other hit in the locker room after.
Speaker 19 (14:23):
The test losses a lot, But what's your message? The
latest way how do you how did you get through
these guys change?
Speaker 5 (14:29):
Yeah, you just gotta you know, they're they're tough losses, Dan,
they really are.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
Everybody puts so much into it.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
The coaches put so much into it, the players, you know,
and it's painful when you have when you have these endings,
you know, you stick together and you know that's what
that's what you have to do. But it's not it's
you know, it's not as easier said than done. Those
are tough, man. You put everything you got into it
each week, you know, whether it's game planning practices. Let
the guys competed their tails off out here for you know,
(14:58):
the whole game, and then to come up short.
Speaker 6 (15:01):
It's tough. It's tough guys in.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Want What do you even say to them if they're you.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
Know, just that, yeah, just just that you stick together.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
That's that's what you have to do.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
But again, there's a number of plays, a number of
things that that could have happened that that usually don't
happen when you lose the game, or happen when you
win the game and the other guy's battled but just
didn't get the job done. Jackson was playing before you
know it's play good. Yeah, Davids, You guys have talked
(15:37):
all about the players have talked about the emotional if
Jackson is getting.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
What was that like to see him happen?
Speaker 6 (15:45):
Obviously you know he was in ten, but that to.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
See that long walk as you're going to truck drive
down the field.
Speaker 18 (15:51):
I mean, do you feel like this team recovered emotionally
from having.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
Seen Yeah, you're really in the moment art.
Speaker 5 (15:58):
You know, we and you gotta get ready to play,
and Rush had to go in there, and you know,
I have confidence in Russ, but.
Speaker 6 (16:08):
Never want to see any of you guys go now, Okay, good,
sound good, Thanks guys.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Brian Davis press conference is brought to you by Hackensack,
Murdy and Health Keep getting better.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Time out.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
We'll come back and talk about it here from players
in the locker room. That and a whole lot more.
The Giants fall to the Bears twenty four to twenty.
We'll be back with more after this.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
You're listening to Giants extra Point on the WFAN Giants
Radio Network.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Back here on Giants extra Point. Giants fall to the
Chicago Bears twenty four to twenty. We just heard from
Brian Dable at the podium. Giants football is brought to
you locally by Ford one performance and capability at every turn,
get behind the wool of a new Ford truck or
SUV Ford official truck at SUV of the New York Giants,
and ticky. I think Brian Dable sounded like a lot
of Giant fans feel yep, and we kind of felt
(16:53):
like watching this game too. Just this team is the
second it's the fourth road game this year where they've
had a ten point lead and lost. One of those
are the Saints. That ten point lead was in the
second quarter. The other three, though, were ten point leads
in the fourth quarter. This one they led by ten
with just over four minutes to play.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, it does. And he sounds defeated. He sounds like
he doesn't have the answer or the and the questions
are gonna come hot and heavy over the next week
and plus or so as this team, you know, tries
to get off this slide that they're on. And you know,
when you're head coach is down after a loss like this,
(17:30):
he is taking on the emotion, I think of the
fan base certainly, but also of his team. These guys
are frustrated, I mean, you know this, we all know this.
It's frustrating watching this team play because when things start
to go wrong, it almost feels inevitable that it's gonna landslide.
And that's what happened in the fourth quarter of this game.
(17:51):
And again, he's right to give credit to the Bears
and to give credit to Caleb Williams, but you also
have players, really good players on both sides of your
team that have to be able to make plays, and
they just weren't able to do it. You needed a stop,
you needed a sack, you needed a big pass breakup,
and too many times he saw it over and over
(18:12):
and over again, these chunk plays coming for the Chicago
Bears in critical moments. Give him credit, but man, so
much of this is also on the Giants. I think
the other thing that he mentioned this is this is
probably more of where the emotion of a two to
eight team goes to is let's talk about your quarterback.
Jackson Dart had played really well for most of this game.
(18:33):
He was already up over two hundred and forty or
so yards passing in this game. It felt like he
was having one of those it's on my back, I'm
going to win this game for you. Two rushing touchdowns,
both on the same gap scheme, double polar play until
the funnel t game might have been his best game
of the year, one hundred percent. He felt in control.
He felt like he had complete like idea, knew a
(18:57):
complete idea of what he needed to do to win
the game. And when he leaves and Russell Wilson has
to come in, the offenses is a shell of what
it was, primarily because Russell Wilson just can't throw the
ball over the middle of the field. Think about where
the success was coming with Jackson Dart. It was Darius
Slayton running that that that crosser route that he that
(19:18):
Jackson Dart throws over top of the sinking linebacker Stel
Johnson running these seams down the middle of the field.
Russell can't make those throws. He hasn't been able to
make those those for a few years now, and Carl
and Bob particularly mentioned this on the broadcast. It felt
like every time he dropped back for a short or
extended drop, he was looking at the pass rush. He
(19:40):
felt non confident in the in the past protection up front,
and he just could never find anything downfield. It Without
Jackson Dart, this offense becomes anemic and you worry about
him his availability for next week.
Speaker 14 (19:55):
UH.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Concussion protocol is notoriously hard to clear in a week
by design. By design, you have to be able to
have be symptom free by in this case, be Tuesday,
but there's no activity that you're going to do. Then
you got to have a walk through. Then you have
to have a practice, a limited practice, and you have
to have a full practice all without concussion symptoms symptoms
(20:16):
before Saturday. And I don't know if that happens. I
think the questions kept getting asked, when did you know
that Jackson Dart was compromised here when they took him
out of the game. Of course it was when he
took him out of the game, But what was the
mascinations of how that came about? Did he self report
or did Dave see it? I know Dave said he
saw it, but sounds like they were talking to him
(20:38):
and they're like, dude, you don't see him. But he
played a few snaps after eighty yard drive by the Bears.
So you know how it is? Though sometimes those symptoms
don't show up right away. You know how that is?
I hear you, and I know Jackson Dart wanted to play,
but you could tell as soon as he was walking
off the field he had his hat down over his
or his his is the bogging down over his head.
He walked into the huddle, into the locker room covering
(21:01):
his eyes, and you knew that his day was done.
And it's spelled doom for the Giants. Their backup quarterback,
the veteran who you know is a borderline Hall of Famer,
and Russell Wilson just isn't that same player any longer.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
And Daves has asked a lot of questions about this tiki,
so I think we should discuss it as well. And
I think Daves is in a tough spot because we
were talking about this during the break. With a rookie quarterback,
in order for them to be successful early, you have
to let them use their legs because they're not going
to be able to sit back there, go through their
three or four.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Progressions and find the guy and do that consistently.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Unless you're Joe Burrow, no rookie quarterback can generally do that,
So you have to lean into the athleticism. It's what
he did with Josh Allen but the question was asked.
You know, Jackson Dor's not two hundred and forty pounds
like Josh Allen. So I but this is not me
getting on Dave's I think he's in a really tough spot.
You're trying to win football games. You're trying to use
all your quarterback skills, but that does then risk some injuries.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah, for those that are wondering, Josh Allen completed few
fifty two fifty three percent of his passes as a rookie,
but he rushed for six hundred and thirty yards and
eight touchdowns, so he was able to find success. Read
that here. That as confidence in finding success by using
his athleticism in his legs, and I think Jackson Dart
to a large extent is the exact same way that
(22:19):
the difference is. Josh Allen runs like a running back,
like he can take contact like a running back with
his shoulders, with his body and not take hard hits.
Jackson Dart has taken a lot of hard hits this
season already. I mean last week we were talking about it. Betoom,
the linebacker for the forty nine ers, drilled him. He
got a penalty on slid on a run he didn't
(22:41):
see him. He slid and got destroyed by by the
forty nine Ers linebacker, and he stayed in the game,
and a couple of plays later he's putting his head
into the dB trying to get extra yards. So Jackson
Dart has taken a lot of pounding on his body,
but also I think more specifically on his head. Now,
we don't fully understand concussion and how they affect certain people,
(23:02):
but we do know that it is a cumulative effect.
Though you know, it's not always a massive head trauma
that causes concussions. Sometimes it's these micro concussions that you
get week over week over week over week, and at
one point it just hits your your brain has has
had enough and it maybe that's the case with Jackson
Dart today, but I think it was clear, painfully so
(23:25):
that without Jackson Dart in this game, they're they're they're
they're winning potential shrinks by twenty thirty, maybe even fifty percent.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
And those micro things you're talking about, this issue is
that they don't show sinematically, so there's no way to
understand that something happened, and we have no idea if
that's exactly what happened either. So to your point, no
one really understands exactly how these things work, and every
and every single situation is unique. So whatever the case
might be, we'll see if Jackson dark and get ready
to go next week, right, and the Giants will have
(23:56):
a couple of tough games.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
I give I give Dave's credit if this is really
how it came down. Did he was worried about him
and he took him out of the game, because that's
what's most important. Yes, especially for a rookie quarterback who
looks like he's your future. Jackson Dart looks really good.
Is the one thing that you're encouraged about, other than
Brian Burns and some of these, you know, some of
the defensive plays that have happened on that side of
(24:17):
the ball, But it's really about Jackson Darts now in future,
and it feels like he's he's learning, unfortunately the hard way.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
And I know there was some criticism, you know, going
into the tent and all that stuff a few weeks ago,
but if you know, if this was reported by Dable
the way it's reporting, there's no reason to think he's
not telling the truth, right that that's exactly what you're
supposed to do, and that is a adult decision to
make sure that the kid is okay and Jackson Dart
gets the attention and care that he needs. All Right,
quick time out, We'll come back. Let's talk about the
(24:46):
defense tiki because end of game issues have become a
pattern here. Let's talk about that when we return. Giants
fall to the Bears twenty four to twenty.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
You're listening to Giants Extra Point on the WFAN Giants
Radio network.
Speaker 17 (25:00):
This is Jackson Dart and you're listening to Giants Football
on the Fan WFAN and WFAN FM, New York. Dart fix.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
The handoff is gonna run left, Dart inside the tent
darden for the five Darts in for the touchdown.
Speaker 21 (25:18):
Jackson Dart for a twenty four yard.
Speaker 11 (25:22):
Touchdown run and the Giants score of the opening drive
of the third quarter, the rookie second rushing touchdown to
the ball game.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Six plays, fifty six yard. That was today's scoring drive
of the game, brought to you by Citizens.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
For every scoring drive this season.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Citizens will doing eight seven hundred and fifty dollars in
the Giants Foundation to support their work tackling important community issues.
Improving overall health and empowering our youth, and Tiki I want,
I said it. We'll get to the defense, and we will.
But that's the dichotomy, right, all right, you hate the
fact that he gets hurt running the football, but I
mentioned the fans loved the twenty four yard touchdown.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Of course, they gave.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
The team to seventeen to seven leads, so you can't
have won but not have the other.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Look, the defense was great in the first half. They
gave up one touchdown drive in the first half of
the Chicago Bears, and they had a couple of turnover
on downs, including right before the half. The Giants get
the ball back and go down and kick a field goal,
and it's important because you know that they're getting the
ball after halftime, and that drive after halftime was exceptional,
fifty six yards. Jackson Dart calls that zone read with
(26:22):
the double pullers coming back to his side, and he
keeps the ball, reads the defensive end correctly and scores
on a basically untouched touchdown, and you feel really good
about where this team is going. They get the next drive,
they drive all the way down. This is after the
Bears punt. They drive all the way down fifty nine
(26:42):
yards in this case, run a similar type play and
Jackson dart again maybe going to the well one too
many times, has a solid positive run, but gets hit,
loses the ball and then ultimately likely concuss himself or
that small concussion at that point that ultimately put him
out of the game. A couple plays later and they
(27:03):
lose the ball like that turnover was a turning point
in this game for the Giants in a negative way.
The Bears get the ball back, they kick a field goal,
a defense holds again, and then after that the defense
just couldn't make a stop ninety one yard drive that
resulted in a touchdown for the Bears, a fifty three
yard drive Caleb Williams runs in from seventeen yards to
(27:26):
get to have the game winning touchdown, and then it's
desperation mode. And in desperation mode, you need your quarterback
to be operating on a very high level. And Russell
Wilson historically in his career has been really good at
fourth quarter game winning drives. He's just he's not dialed
up to that right now. And whether it's the offensive
(27:46):
scheme system that they're running, it doesn't fit what Russell
Wilson does very well, and as a result, it almost
felt like it was inevitable. Once the Bear scored that
the Giants are losing this game.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
All right, So let's talk about the defense tier TIKI,
because they had some really good moments in this game.
They turned the Bears over on downs three different times,
yes with fourth down stops. But as has unfortunately been
the case in their last couple of road losses. You
want to talk about the one against the Broncos. Go
previously to that in Dallas in Week two. At the
(28:18):
end of these games, the Bears get the ball back
and the Giants were not able to get stops on
those drives. A nine play, ninety one yard drive. The
Giants with multiple chances on this drive Tiki to get
Caleb Williams to the ground for sacks. They were unable
to do it. They had a third and ten on
this drive. They allowed Williams to hit Loveland for a
(28:40):
twenty yard game. Tyler Newman got hurt on that play.
You had a Drew Phillips illegal contact during this drive
as well. They eventually get in on a long runs
Deonte Banks that was on the next drive. This one
was on Drew Phillips, and then they have a twenty
nine yard run by Williams gets it down to the two.
They get the short yard to Nuban for the touchdown
(29:01):
over the middle. And then on the next drive they
go down there after the bad punt and it just
takes this is the killer Man.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Four plays, yeah, four plays.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
To go fifty three yards for the touchdown, and again
they just were not able to get it done in
those two situations when that has unfortunately been a problem.
It's actually the two Banks penalties were on the previous
drive when they held the Bears to a field goal.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Correct. Yeah. And so those are the type of moments,
game winning game type moments that matter, especially against good quarterbacks.
And I'm not saying Kaillab Willins is a good quarterback,
but he's a gamer. And this team is six and three,
the Chicago Bears, and they're not that good defensively, and
so they should feel vulnerable even though they are at home,
and the Giants can't take advantage of it. And to me,
(29:49):
the biggest thing we talk about this vaunted Giants pass rush,
and they are really good. They get home and they
get pressure, but it's finishing. It's finishing at the point
of attack against good quot quarterbacks. You got to have
a plan, and it just felt like the Giants couldn't
execute it at the right time. And I give Shan
Bowen a little bit of credit. He didn't just sit
back and say chew us apart, you know, second by second.
(30:13):
He tried to bring pressure. He tried to put this
defensive position to make a play, and they just didn't
make the plays. Again, this was a team loss. It's coaching,
it's it's offense, it's defense, it's special teams. They all
took turns finding ways to lose this game. It's what
losing teams do. Hey, we talk about it. The only
thing a coach can do is put your players in
a position to make plays. How many times were Giants
(30:36):
pass rushers and I think I saw pretty much every
one of them over the course of this game in
position to get Caleb Williams down for a sack, and
a couple of times they did, and then you get
called for penalties in the secondary, and those sacks get
called back, So eventually you have to bring this guy down.
If you were going to want to consider yourselves an
elite pass right. They were not able to do it
(30:57):
on those last two drives exactly. You know what they
are even they're the fact simile of a really good
pass rush, but in real life and execution, they're not
quite getting there. And again, they made some good plays
in this game, and they were great for half, but
when it mattered most, and this is what matters in
the NFL, When it matters most, you gotta make those
(31:19):
plays and.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
What kills me, Tiki. We always talk about how game
flow determines things. The Giants had a two score lean
the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Yeah, this is why you have a dominant pass rush.
Those out the game. I hope so. But we've seen
it in too many games this year. All three games
we talked about, the pass rush was not able to
close out those games. And that to me is not coaching.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
If you're a dominant pass up, you're up to scores,
close out the game.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Yeah, make the play, and it's sometimes it takes an
exceptional play, but that's your moment. I've talked about this
all season long. You always as a player, you have
a moment, and it might be a small moment. It
might be Jamie Gillen booming a punt to back the
Bears up to the at the twelve yard line or
whatever it may be, and instead, in his moment, he
(32:06):
shanks a punt, not to mention that he kicked the
ball out of bounds twice basically and had the ball
at the forty yard line for the Chicago Bears. Those
type of things are what lose you football games. And
it's not one person that you pinpointed on, and you
want to because that makes it easy. If you have
a scapegoat that you can throw all the blame on,
it makes it easy. Just get rid of that guy,
(32:27):
or you know his time is limited here, whatever emotion
you want to have towards an individual. But when you
lose like a team, it just it seems like from
a larger thirty thousand foot view, this team just isn't
good enough in those moments to be a good team
and win games on the road.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
And it seemed like on a couple of those sack opportunities,
kept trying to sack them high tiki yeah, I mean
on the shoulder pads, and he did a great job
of ducking out of it. A couple of really nice
pins and look, Kayleb Williams is extremely talented. He's been
great at sack avoidance all year, so let's give him
credit to He's really good at one of the best
in football at it, so give him credit. But again,
if you're elite, even if you're the guy's elite, eventually
(33:08):
you got to make a play to win.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Some of them they had zero sacks. Yeah, they had
no sacks, and they were in the backfield constantly, constantly
putting pressure on Caleb Williams, and he was able to
find his way out of it and make those plays.
And I mean, I don't even I'm at a loss
for how this team finds ways to win games, especially
with the upcoming lose games, I mean lose games, the
(33:31):
upcoming Green Bay Packers and coming to town and and
then the tough schedule that follow Lions the Lion How
do you? How do you? How do you improve at
this point where you start to get this defeated feel
from this team, And it started with the head coach
at the podium again it's a bad loss on the road.
I get his despondency. I'm sure by tomorrow he's going
(33:53):
to be back and reinvigorated and and trying to send
the right message to this team. But every week it
feels like we're getting a repeat, a broken record of
the same stuff, over and over and over again.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Giants Football is brought to you by Verizon Official five
G network at the Giants, Verizon America's most reliable network.
Let's take a time out, we'll come back. We'll hear
from the players in the locker room. That and a
whole lot more. Right after this, Giants lose to the
Bears twenty four to twenty.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
You're listening to Giants Extra Point on the Wfan Giants
Radio network.
Speaker 12 (34:24):
This is THEO Johnson and you're listening to Giants Football
on the Fan Wfan and wfn FM, New York.
Speaker 4 (34:36):
Racy the right of Dart in a shotgun set. Dark
takes the snap back to throw, pumps under pressure, rolls
to his right, now throws on the run.
Speaker 11 (34:47):
He's got Johnson who makes the catch along the sideline.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Did he gets both feet in?
Speaker 3 (34:51):
He?
Speaker 10 (34:51):
Did?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
They say it the Bears thirty two yard line.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
About Jackson Dart on the run first.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
And ten The Bears thirty nine is where they spotted Dark.
Twick set BLOB's won to the right, caught.
Speaker 11 (35:05):
By Johnson in traffic and he's tackled at the thirteen
yard line with more than two seconds to go, clock
still windings, and.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Those are back to back plays in quarter number two,
setting up the Giants score to give them a ten
to seven lead in this ballgame. And that was tonight's
or today's rather plays of the game, brought to you
locally by Ford. Want performs a capability of every turn
get behind the wheel of the new Ford truck or
recuv Ford official truck at SUV of the New York Giants,
(35:34):
and we saw some unbelievable throws and catches in this game.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Teaky that that's the killer that first play.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Bob was kind of relaxed during the call, but that
was an unbelievable play. He rolls to the right as
he's kind of running out of bounds. He throws an
absolute bullet to THEO Johnson perfectly in front of him.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
On the move.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Johnson does the toe drag to get his feet in
just a great throwing catch.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
We talk a lot about the scramble rules for this
Giants team because Jackson Dart will hold the ball and
then try to make a play downfield. And what you
what you're your program to do sometimes is counterintuit and
so you got to be on a on a string
basically with your quarterback, and Theo Johnson was running exactly
parallel down down the field with the with with Jackson Dart,
(36:19):
and he made a great throw and a great catch.
And that's the shame of this. Theo Johnson, after struggling
a week ago, had a really good first half and
this game. Seven catches for seventy five yards in this
game and set up a lot of their scoring opportunities.
And in the second half he completely disappeared. Not his fault,
but it's because of what we were alluding to a
little bit earlier. They can't throw the ball over the
(36:41):
middle of the field with with with Russell Wilson at quarterback,
and so this game changed when Jackson Dart went out
of it. And you hate to rely so specifically or
singularly on your quarterback to be this catalyst, but that's
who he is, especially with camp Scataboo down for the
season with that dislocated ankle. And I feel for Jackson
(37:03):
Dart because you know he wanted to be out there.
You know he wanted to help this team win. And
we'll say Daves made the right call. If Dave's made
this call to send Jackson dart into the locker room,
it was the absolute right call, but it also put
them in a position where it got it became a
struggle to win it in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Yeah, theo Johnson of this game, teak, he, as you mentioned,
played really well. He finished this game catching seven passers
for seventy five yards. He spoke in the locker room
after the game. Let's listen in in and out the
entire day.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
But yet you guys threw the ball pretty well today.
Speaker 10 (37:38):
How surprising is that? Was that always part of the plan,
that whether or not we're going to throw it.
Speaker 12 (37:42):
Yeah, we knew all week that there's a good chance
of there'd been some some weather that that was going
to be so nice. But you know, we practice outside
every single day. We were all kind of prepared for it.
So when it came, we didn't flinch.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Appreciate each time to thank you.
Speaker 7 (37:56):
You know, how difficult was that the cere starting quarterback
finished the game.
Speaker 12 (38:01):
You know, it was tough. I I didn't really even
know what was going on, so you know, we just
kind of kept rolling. But still I'm not really too
sure what the situation is, but it's it's never good
to not have your guy out here.
Speaker 19 (38:13):
So you didn't know it's obviously he's don't there for
two plays quarter ends. Did you look in the uddle
and surprised to see rest there? Did you realize in
the in between periods my coach kind.
Speaker 12 (38:20):
Of like gave me heads up, like, hey, you know,
there might be something going on with Jackson, but we
weren't sure, like, you know, if it's gonna be for
the game or not. So I had a little bit
of an idea.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
I mean, he is big, bangs up and comes back
at the game, so exap just assumed, you know, he
always takes a hit and seems to come back.
Speaker 12 (38:35):
Yeah, you know, he he's a tough guy. So I
had an idea that maybe he'd be coming back, but
we weren't too sure.
Speaker 19 (38:42):
So you can't let out your emotions right after the
last dar I failed. What was going through your head
in that moment?
Speaker 12 (38:47):
Yeah, I mean, uh, frustration. I just want to win,
so when you don't you get it done.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
It's it's frustrating. Should he should you be winning these games?
Speaker 12 (38:57):
Deal?
Speaker 7 (38:58):
But now just just do that game to you, you know,
like double Bud Jackon's in your fourth quarter.
Speaker 10 (39:01):
Yeah, we're we're doing a.
Speaker 12 (39:03):
Lot of good things. Uh, we just gotta finish, you know,
like it it's when it comes to a nut cut
and time, we're not getting do it.
Speaker 19 (39:10):
And I said, it's this building, it's a four in
a row, and you've had a couple of losses like this.
How do you maintain the belief that it is gonna happen?
Speaker 12 (39:17):
Cause you love the game and if you wash the
tape like you turn the game on. We're doing a
lot of good stuff, just when it matters the most. Uh,
we're not capitalizing, We're we're not finishing the place.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
We're not execute him.
Speaker 12 (39:31):
So I think that's how you keep the belief is
is like we're we're so close. We just gotta when
it matters most, make the place.
Speaker 7 (39:38):
It seems like Jackson's.
Speaker 8 (39:41):
Make if it's happened when he was out there, you
know who?
Speaker 12 (39:43):
He says that Tom he was playing well, he always does.
He's been playing great every sooner game. Is it a
fourth quarter issue or is it because the first part
of the game, you guys see the score quick.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
You guys have no problem you know keeping possession.
Speaker 12 (40:00):
Is there something that towards the end of the game,
that's that's maybe changing offensively. Yeah, I think that, you know,
we have them on the roads, we just got to finish.
There's been a lot of times where you know, have
a lead and we just can't capitalize on it and
can't you know, give that last punch to kind of
finish the game off.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
And we're gonna hear from more players, Tiki, but I'm
not sure if the players have answers here limited games
like this, you know, yeah, because it's not.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
This didn't feel like an effort thing. This felt like
a we got out played in critical moments thing. And
that's an improvement I guess from a week ago against
the forty nine ers or even a couple of weeks
ago against the against the Eagles. So they they played
well enough to win. It's just there is a mentality
that it takes to win on the road against good teams.
(40:47):
And I don't think that the Bears are world beaters
by any stretch of the imagination. But they are a
team that will keep fighting. They'll keep hitting you in
the mouth over and over and over again, and they
have a quarterback who's a winner, and you know, it
and we just saw it, and so you have to
match that, and you have to match it with plays,
and the Giants didn't.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
All right, let's take a timeout and we'll come back
here from Brian Burns in the locker room. That and
a whole lot more Giants lose to the Bears twenty
four to twenty.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
You're listening to Giants Extra Point on the Wfan Giants
Radio network.
Speaker 21 (41:17):
This is Brian Burns and you're listening to Giants football
on the Fan Wfan and Wfan FM, New York.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Back here on Giants Extra Point.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Giants TV, presented by Bob's Discount Furniture, is the official
connected TV app of the New York Giants, available for
free now on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire Tv, and
inside the Giants Mobile app. Stream game highlights, interviews, TV shows,
and more exclusive video content with Giants TV. Giants fall
to the Bears twenty four to twenty. In the building
and so I sold your field, was Paulatino. He was
in the locker room after the game as well. Paul,
(41:48):
I got to imagine, and this is becoming a little
bit repetitive in the worst possible way. Give us a
feel for what that locker room was like after the
Giants blew yet another double digit lead on the road
this year.
Speaker 10 (42:00):
I know, John, we've talked about some of these hard,
gut punching losses, about anger, about disgust, about disappointment. Now
I think it's numbness, to be frank with you. I
think a lot of guys are now, you know, drinking
down the novacane because that's what it's become. And you
listen to a guy like Brian Burns talking at his
(42:21):
locker today a second that audio later. Ye, but Burns
is like, you know, we're doing everything we're supposed to do.
We're leading these games. You know, this is the fourth
time that the Giants have blown at least a ten
point lead on the road and lost. I mean, that's
pretty hard to do, right, And and you know, Burns
is like, we believe in the coaches, we believe in everybody.
(42:43):
We know we can win, we know we can compete
with people, and we're just not finishing the games. And
nobody seems to have the answer why. But I'm getting
the emotional vibe that it's now numbness. And that's the
best word I can use.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Man, Paul.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
It's funny. Before the season started, we looked at the
Giants schedule. What was the one key we said, at
the Giants wanted to overcome a tough schedule and win
a lot of games this year. We said they would
have to win close games. And they had just been
unable to.
Speaker 10 (43:10):
Have to eliminate mistakes or at least have as few
mistakes as possible so they could squeeze past a number
of these so called middleweight division teams. John, it it
just hasn't happened.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Yeah, And this is this is a team that was
in their weight class, so to speak, the Chicago Bears,
and and and they went blow for blow with Actually
they had they had the advantage from the majority of
this game, and they couldn't They couldn't finish it. And
you know, it's interesting because we talked so much last
week and the week before about the ineptitude of this defense.
Give the defense credit. They stepped up from the majority
(43:44):
of this game, saying for those last two drives, the
two touchdown drives, which were the winning ones that matter,
But they they weren't a sieve defensively. They they stopped
the run, they they got the pressures, they did everything
they're supposed to do. They just couldn't find a way
when it mattered.
Speaker 10 (43:57):
Most Chiky to your point, with about what was it
six and a half minutes left in the game, to
that point, the Giants defense had only given up three
plays of twenty yards or more and I think the
longest play was a doones for twenty seven they had
held the Bears to that point, I think two for
ten third downs and one for four and fourth downs.
(44:19):
Now I know that that the Bears had some drop
passes in there, so some of that were some of
those things were missed chances by Chicago. But nonetheless, the
Giants were finding a way to campaign Williams in terms
of making big plays off his scrambles, and they were
getting off the field. And then in the last six
minutes it all changed. But I want to point to
(44:41):
one thing about this change here in the last six minutes,
and I don't know if you guys have talked about it,
but to me, those two Giants possessions with about eight
and a half minutes to go, and then at a
twenty to ten game, and then when they got the
ball back and had three and out after it was
twenty to seventeen. To me, that's where the game was lost,
(45:01):
even more than the defense. Because the Giants were about
watch seven and a half or so to go. They
could call for a full start and an offensive hold
on consecutive plays. Yeah, and then Tracy runs out of bounds.
So that's three straight plays.
Speaker 16 (45:15):
You have a ten.
Speaker 10 (45:16):
Point lead with what six and a half left, seven maybe,
and on three consecutive plays the clock stops.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (45:26):
I don't know how you guys felt, but right then
and there I said to myself, oh, no, somebody just
left the door a jar. Well, then on the next
offensive position they were three and out.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Yeah. And the thing you needed to do in that
moment you're down by now you're up by a score,
three points, and what you need is he need the
first down to keep momentum or drive momentum back into
your favor. And it just didn't happen. And again, Russell
Wilson hasn't played since Week three of the season, other
than a couple of snaps he had to take. But
this felt like the offense can't function as efficiently or
(46:01):
effectively without Jackson Dart and I know that he's likely
he's in concussion protocol now he's likely not to play
next week, But did you get a sense in the
locker room of the fear that Jackson Dart's not going
to be available.
Speaker 10 (46:16):
I didn't get that sense, Tiki, to be frank with you,
because a lot of guys on offense, in discussing what
happened in this game, pointed to the watch seventy plus
yard drive and started the fourth quarter when the Giants
get all the way down to the one. Now, of
course they had to settle for a field goal, which,
as we all know, losers were meant when you lead
(46:37):
points on the board, they'll usually come back to bite you.
And so you young Hoku has to get a nineteen
yard field goal, and they're knocking on the doorstep at
the one and they can't get the ball in. I mean, again,
we're talking about a concophony of mistakes and things that
are self destructive. I mean, then it's combined with the
(46:57):
punt that Jamie Gillen you know shakes, you know, leading
to the last winning drive. It's just it just continues
to pile up.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
And then right before that punt, Paul, they had a
protection breakdown and nobody blocked Chauncey Gardner Johnson and that
allowed to sackle on a big third down, So you're right,
it's it's kind of up and down.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Get on the bus. I know this bad weather out there.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Hopefully you guys are able to take off on time
and you get them safely, and we'll talk to you
tomorrow on Big Blue Kickoff Live on the Giants app
at twelve thirty.
Speaker 10 (47:24):
Thanks guys, fingers crossed and we'll see tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Thank you, Paul.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
I'm want to get to Brian Burns now downstairs after
the game, then I'll ask you a question about defensive playmakers.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Here's Brian Burns talking to the media.
Speaker 7 (47:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
I glad it made some good adjustments.
Speaker 21 (47:39):
They were testing a lot of our rules, you know,
and Covery Man, I really.
Speaker 10 (47:42):
Feel like we got a lot of our pennies.
Speaker 9 (47:45):
Sound really you were crossing you can get her in
three weeks ago.
Speaker 17 (47:52):
Usually hearing this thing in a very similar.
Speaker 9 (47:54):
Spot here a couple weeks later at fett Oh.
Speaker 12 (47:59):
No man was ahead to answer.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
But it's like the fourth game.
Speaker 21 (48:01):
You don't know, you know, eat ourselves in the fourth quarter,
putting putting together three three great quarters in the coming
You're not finishing all enough. That's what's a tough question.
Speaker 20 (48:15):
To how do you keep I mean when you look
at that it I obviously you're looking within yourselves. Do
you ever wonder I mean, obviously the coaches are trying
to give you, send you a message, right Uh. I
don't know what Dave said afterwards.
Speaker 6 (48:29):
I don't see professional laws.
Speaker 10 (48:31):
But it's a.
Speaker 20 (48:32):
Difficulty to to maintain your confidence in the coaching or
you know now you know that you're trying to blame
somebody cause you doesn't make it on the field making
a plays, and they're they're certainly in a question right now,
Dave's and staff.
Speaker 6 (48:45):
I ain't really focus on, you know anything. We're relating
to the future.
Speaker 21 (48:49):
I mean, cause Loca's not trying to get in a win,
you know, trying to finish out of these damn games.
You know, that's the only thing that really matter right now,
cause we were playing good love just not finishing the
mess through.
Speaker 10 (49:00):
That's a tough part.
Speaker 18 (49:01):
I you feel like on the fourth part that you
guys are pressing a lot of it, or certain guys
are pressing a little bit because the past failures are
the back of your mind. Pressing as a will forcing
the issue and trying to maybe play outside of hon
another kind of things that happen.
Speaker 10 (49:16):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 5 (49:19):
I think.
Speaker 21 (49:23):
I think there are slip.
Speaker 6 (49:24):
Ups in in in the in the one and.
Speaker 21 (49:26):
Eleven as far as like doing your job and that
it really comes down to my family, you know, just
being able to keep going and and focusing on what you.
Speaker 12 (49:34):
Have to do.
Speaker 21 (49:35):
I don't think he might as like trying to, you know,
be Superman. But at the end of the days, my
dad here, my dad there, from every every other guy
and ultimately is and you know, an explosive and then
like I said, I'm still self inflicted moment.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
And shooting or something, you know.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
To This is why I want to take this before
we say goodbout our radio network here. I think one
thing about this defense, and Brian runs made the point
they've been good through two or three quarters in a
lot of these games, and things have kind of fallen apart. Yes,
And by the way, Brian Burns is not in this
category that I'm about to talk about, because he has
made a number of big plays this year. The guys
(50:11):
on this defense that are supposed to be difference makers,
I don't have to listen to players.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
The fans know who they are.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Why haven't we seen enough just really good individual plays
and individual efforts. And that's something Maybe I'm wrong you
tell me as a former player that to me is
not a coaching thing.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
That is a player thing. It is, but it's also
being ready for the moment thing. And I think if
you go back and you look at the forty nine
Ers game, the forty nine ers just just handed it
down to them. They they just beat them. Yeah, it
wasn't It wasn't a close game. It wasn't. Well, if
we would have made this player that play, we probably
win the football game. But the games that have been
(50:50):
like that, these close games, it's it's understanding when the
moment is the moment. And Brian Burns has been phenomenal.
I think Kevon Thibodeau is hurt. I know, not think
I know he's hurt right now. Dexter Lawrence took a
long time to get his motor going this game after
a very promising start, with some pressures and some you
(51:11):
saw the effort there some tackles and et cetera, or
at least in the in the in the vicinity the
vicinity of some tackles he kind of he disappeared. You
didn't hear his name again later later on in this game.
And I think they're compromised in their secondary, and we've
known this for a few weeks. Deontay Banks is just
he's not a reliable cornerback, whether it's stupid handsy penalties
(51:36):
that end up giving getting first downs or in a
lot of cases, negating sacks that the defense you know,
whereas able to procure. It comes down to making plays
and moments, and there's not enough of those guys on
this team. And there were once again negative one in
terms of tun over ratio. And if you're not negative
one a tonover ratio, this is game you might win. Look,
we talked about Jackson Dart, how good he's been. The
(51:58):
four hundred and twenty six or so snaps that he
had played prior to this game were there were really
only six turnover worthy plays and this game he had
too one which he was saved for because Gunner Olszewski
knocked the ball away from a clear interception in the
in the red zone right before halftime, and then obviously
the fumble, and those plays will lose you games when
(52:19):
it's the margins are so tight right. I think the
team this team is is they play hard. I think
they're they're they're actually well coached in certain aspects, but
they're not playing well in the margins. That comes down
the player execution and players realizing I have to make
this play and I'm going to make this play.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
I'm curious to see if when the PFF folks look
at it, if they give him a turnover worthy play
on the little steam route that he hit Edmonds in
the back of the head on the scene, I'm.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
Curious to see if they played that. But a lot
of times you think the linebacker is going to turn
around now. But when when you see and it's a
and it's a man type look, and it wasn't because
it was his zone. It was just a linebacker running
down the middle of the field with the tight end.
When when when that defenders this is whether it's a
corner of safety, linebacker, etc. When that defenders back is
to you, you see the back of his head head,
(53:08):
you throw that ball one hundred out of one hundred
times because then it's on your receiver to go make
a play on the ball. I don't think that was
a turnover worthy play. And if it had a little
bit more height on it, it might have been a touchdown.
And so yeah, Jackson Dart is learning to make that
throw and trust his wide receivers. And despite some of
the feelings that we might have for THEO Johnson that
(53:28):
drops that he's had so far this season, Jackson Dart
still trust him and you saw it to a pretty
good clip today with seven receptions for seventy five yards,
as we talked about earlier.
Speaker 1 (53:39):

twenty four to twenty loss.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
Here. All right, let's go to the calls eight eight,
eight eighth.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Eight one zero one nine. Let's lead things off with
Mike and Clifton Park. Mike, what's going on?
Speaker 22 (55:22):
Hey, So I just want to talk about you know,
there's a bunch of coaching meltpractice here by Dable. I
mean you can look at the penalties, you can look
at some of the play calls in the fourth quarter
that didn't take time off off the clock. But my
biggest worry is the continued design runs for Jackson's Dart.
(55:43):
You know, Brian Dable has a responsibility to win, but
also has a responsibility to keep Jackson Dart safe and
not squeeze all the juice out of him. And every
time there's there's a design run, I hold my breath.
You have other players that can run the ball, and
I have to tell you, if I'm the owner and
I see the future of my franchise with these design runs,
(56:05):
eventually he's going to get hurt. And it has to
be This can't be about Brian Deebel having to win.
Speaker 10 (56:10):
To save this job.
Speaker 22 (56:11):
It has to be protecting the quarterback and balancing that
out much better. I don't trust Brian Deaebel at this
point to balance that out, and if I had to
relieve him to protect my quarterback, I would do it
because he looks like a desperate coach who will use
Jackson Dart and ride him to a win regardless of
what happens on the field.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
Well, I mean, I think I see that a little
bit differently. Jackson Dart is a six skill position player.
You talk about teams that are able to use their
quarterback to pick up yardage the way that Jackson Dart does.
It's your responsibility to do that. It's Jackson Dart's responsibility
to know when he can take contact and when he
should not. That's been the issue last weekend and the
(56:55):
previous weekends. He's running into contact, He's an initiating it
in a lot of ways, and that's why he's been
in harm's way in this game. I thought the two
especially two touchdowns, were perfectly designed play calls. You had
his own read, so you have the defense keying on
the running back. He correctly keeps the football and basically
(57:18):
goes untouched for two touchdowns. It's the other ones when
there is traffic and he knows that contact is going
to come, how is he taking that contact? That's what
he needs to learn because that's how he stays safe
and not just constantly thinking that he's a fullback like
Cam's cataboo who can run through contact. He's not going
to be able to do that. His body's not built
(57:38):
that way. He doesn't have the callouses like the football
calluses to do that. With that all being said, he's
also a football player. And I know we have legislated
to a large degree contact from quarterbacks, but you are
also a football player. Yeah, and I'll say this.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
We talked about Josh Allen earlier in the show, but
I'm going to move forward to the first year Brian
Dables here with the Giants.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
How tikey did the Giants have a lot of success
in twenty twenty two. Yeah, Daniel Jones running the ball
one hundred percent, And again, you got to be measured
about it. Daniel Jones stayed healthy for the majority of
that twenty twenty two season because Daniel Jones was a
six year VET at that point, and he knew how
and when to take contact, and it's a learned thing.
(58:22):
Every player has their proverbial welcome to the NFL moment.
I'll never forget mine. It was against the Saint Louis.
Then Rams and Toby Wright came from the safety spot
full speed fifteen yards away and drilled me blindside and
knocked me unconscious. This is the only time I think
in my career I was unconscious on the field, and
I learned not to cut back without looking, you know
(58:45):
what I mean. So Jackson Dart's gonna learn these things
as he gets more and more into his career. But
I agree to an extent he does have to be told.
I think at certain points the play is dead. You
can't anymore go down the play that he fumbled on,
I looked it up. He gained seven yards on a
(59:05):
second and six, so he's trying to get the first
down there, So I understand that. Yeah, but there's also
a method of being a runner. I mean, could you
maybe get down and just try to dive that? So
that's my point. So it took me a while to
learn this, and this is why I had fumbling issues.
It wasn't about the contact. I wasn't afraid of getting
hit and you know, getting banged around. That's what That's
(59:26):
why I built my body up to do. But there's
a way that you have to go through contact and
it's keep to me. It was keeping the ball high
and tight, getting very small, you know, not wide open,
not leaving any exposed areas, but crossing the ball in
front of my body, putting both hands wrapped around it,
high and tight, and shrinking into contact so that my
(59:47):
surface area was smaller. And so if a runner, if
a defender would hit me, it's likely a glancing blow
and not me standing tall and proud and like I'm running.
I'm not Brandon Jacobs, right, I'm not running through you know, contact,
and someone's bouncing off of me or Josh Allen, who's
two hundred and fifty pounds, a smaller defender. In this case,
it was a smaller defender the originally hit Jackson Dart
(01:00:08):
and calls that fuck the cornerback. Here's a cornerback who
hit him from the side, and if he gets smaller
and protects the ball, that cornerback likely glances off his
back and he gets tackled and he falls down and
gets the first down. He gets up and he's fine. Instead,
he's wide open, body up, ball is exposed. He gets hit,
ball comes loose, he tries to corral it, he goes
(01:00:30):
to the ground hard and I don't think it was
the hit. I think it was probably the ground that
likely calls the jarring of his brain inside his head
and likely led to the concussion. But there's a way
that you go into contact and you almost have to
be taut it otherwise you don't know how to do it,
and I think Jackson Dart doesn't know how to go
through contact.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
All right, we'll stick with the same topic. Vincent Daviel
wants to talk about the same thing. Vince, what's going on?
Speaker 14 (01:00:56):
Yeah, yeah, I agree with the previous caller. I think
Gable now is putting Jackson harm's way. He's a potential
franchise quarterback and he's putting him in harm's way. I
understand the goal line runs. I got it. And Tiki,
I think he had a lot to this this show.
I really like what you have to say. But they
weren't zone reads. Those were straight quarterback counters. And that's
(01:01:19):
great when it's that's great when it's tight, you're on
the you're inside the five, you're not going to take
a lot of contact. You can go down. But when
you're in the middle of the field and you have
a ten point lead, there's no reason for him to
be running the football.
Speaker 10 (01:01:32):
There.
Speaker 14 (01:01:33):
You have two other backs that are capable. Let them
do it. I get it when you're inside the five.
And one other thing. You guys mentioned that they won
in twenty two, and they did, but remember that roster
was put together by Dave Gettlman. Shane's picks and you
can go through them, Nuban, Thibodeaux, Neil Flop, they have
(01:01:55):
all been bussed.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
I mean, but now you're flipping around, so stick to
one thing here. We don't need to talk about Joe
Shane and his draft picks. We know the fallacy or
the or the faults of some of the draft picks
that he's brought into this game. I know a little
bit of football. I'm telling you that those were zone
ree plays. Jackson Dart is reading the defensive end. When
the defensive end stays and is going to blow up
(01:02:18):
the play, he pulls the ball and he runs with
the pullers going back his side. There's a reason that
that you you design a play to be successful to
both sides. If the defensive edge drops out, you hand
that ball off and the running back is going to
go get five or six yards. If the defensive edge
stays there, you create two blockers for the quarterback to
(01:02:41):
now have leads, right, it's better to have him with
two blockers as opposed to the running back with two blockers,
and you leave it on the defense to make decision.
So I know what you're saying. I get it. Jackson
Dart needs to be better at taking contact is ultimately
what it comes down to, because at the end of
the day, he is a football player, and he knows
he's a football player, and he wants to be a
tough one. But there's a way to stay healthy. It's
(01:03:03):
one of the hardest things for rookies to learn how
to do that, is to stay healthy, and Jackson Dart
hasn't learned it yet. All right, let's go to Richie
and Queen's He's on next. What's up Richie?
Speaker 8 (01:03:13):
Hey, guysah tee, I totally agree. You look at Jalen Hurt,
she runs quite a bit. He just knows when you
get down Urry Verry seldom.
Speaker 14 (01:03:21):
Is he and Halm's way right.
Speaker 8 (01:03:22):
And you know, in that particular play, I don't like
the fact that they are off ten at that point
to give him that, you know, maybe that point you
kind of the least you want to do is get
a field. Go John. We spoke Saturday, YEP, and I
told you how I feel about these Russians. And it's
great that they put pressure and their times of pressure
did help. But you know, it's like it's like having
(01:03:43):
a power hitter that sometimes has warning track power. You've
got to finish the play. You talked about it. You're
up ten, you got five minutes to go. You get
that sacket's three third and twelve.
Speaker 14 (01:03:55):
They're not more.
Speaker 8 (01:03:56):
They're not watching down in a minute, in ten seconds
and and and it seems like that's what's happening big
chunk plays. You know, Brian's been great, he gets caught
out inside. They got no help on the edges, okery.
The linebackers have been Let's face you, guys, it's not
just the backfield the secondary that the linebackers have been terrible.
(01:04:18):
So and even now they're up three, the worst you
want to do is give up with you know, okay,
we're going to tie the game. They come right down again.
So I could care less about the defense being great
for forty minutes or forty five minutes. They just do
not come up. And I watched Carter John we talked
about it Saturday. He was being he was being blocked
by a tight end. He is, and he's there to
(01:04:40):
make plays. If you're going to be a great player individually,
you brought it up. You've got to get a sack
on your own, with your own physical ability. They do
not do that. Be frustrating guys.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
He's also a rookie, Carter, and so he's got a
lot of learning to do. He's a good player, he
impacts games and ways of the don't show up on
the stat sheet, but he is also a rookie and
there's a learning curve, learning process that that is necessary
for I think every player. Some guys get it right away,
not everybody does. And look Richie, when we were talking
yesterday in the morning. By the way, you guys can
(01:05:13):
check out our Giants previous show, Big B Kickoff on
Saturday morning on the Fan with Mark Blusis and I.
You know, last week the Niners got the ball out
extremely quickly under two and a half seconds average time
at though for Mac Jones that was not the case
this week. Now, Caleb Williams was holding the ball, Guys
had opportunities to make plays, which is why I brought
a multiple time steek. He Eventually you gotta get Caleb
Williams down. Yeah, you got you gotta, you gotta. I
(01:05:37):
always talk about plans, like the best edge rushers, the
best sackers of quarterbacks, they have a plan, and it's
not the same for every player. If you're if Mac
Jones was playing our same game plan for the Chicago
Bears and he's dropping back and he's under pressure, it's
pretty easy on how to get Mac Jones down. Just
get get a body on him. He's going to the ground.
(01:05:57):
Caleb Williams has a a very elusive nature to his
upper body, like he's very bendable, and so when you
go high, he's gonna make you miss. You have to
stemy him in his legs, keep his feet from moving.
And those high tackles which you saw him over and
over and over again, are are hard to bring him
down with. Now some of those, you know, it's just
(01:06:20):
you're not in a position to make a low tackle.
You have to take him up y because that's the
way we can get your hands on them. Sure, but
you also have to slow down sometimes and gather yourself
so that you don't get fooled by his elusiveness.
Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
All right, let's take a time out. We'll come back,
take a few more calls. Maybe we'll play a little
bit aredo from downstairs. We're taking you up until ten
to six when NETS basketball comes your way.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
Nixon Nets tonight. Make sure you go check that out.
Quick time out. We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
Giants LOOSEI the Bears twenty four to twenty. We're back
here on Giants Extra point. Giants Football is brought to
you by Verizon, the official five G network of the
New York Giants, Verizon America's most reliable network.
Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
The player press conferences.
Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Today, we're brought to you by MetLife, the official insurance
company of the New York Giants.
Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
Let's go downstairs. Devin single Terry dressed the media after
the game.
Speaker 17 (01:07:01):
Talk about your due play down the forty catch there
with Russ.
Speaker 7 (01:07:07):
Yeah, you know Russ. Russ gave me a chance and
I was able to make a make a play burger
tack and make up play. THEO was a was a
big lead block right there, and it was a spark
that we needed.
Speaker 19 (01:07:18):
Were you surprised you guys kicked the field goal from
the one yard line?
Speaker 23 (01:07:21):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (01:07:21):
No, I mean take points, take points.
Speaker 21 (01:07:25):
Any conversation as far as on the sideline or from
coach about going going for the touchdown there after that
penalty on that.
Speaker 7 (01:07:32):
Field on maybe a little bit, but you know we
we decided to take the points.
Speaker 21 (01:07:37):
Definite surprise to be in this situation again, and it
was only.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Three three weeks ago.
Speaker 8 (01:07:43):
You guys, you know, had that loss in Denver.
Speaker 19 (01:07:45):
Feels like we're asking the same questions.
Speaker 20 (01:07:46):
You guys have to give the same answers.
Speaker 17 (01:07:48):
Is it is it frustrating to be in the same spot?
Speaker 10 (01:07:52):
It is?
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
It is?
Speaker 10 (01:07:53):
Man.
Speaker 7 (01:07:53):
You you know, we go out there, we worked so hard,
lad on the line, and you know, we just didn't
get the result that we wanted for What has to change?
I just got to evaluate that. You know, see what
we didn't the plays that we didn't make, and I'll
move forward and make those plays moving forward.
Speaker 22 (01:08:10):
You've been around Dable a long time.
Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
What does this team still have confidence in him?
Speaker 7 (01:08:14):
I will say so, I will say we do.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
That's definite singletary.
Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
After the game, we could squeeze in some phone calls
here for the next eight minutes or so before we
give way to Bob Usler, Tim Capshaw, Nixon nets right
here on the fan, coming your way in about nine minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:08:28):
Let's go to Clay in far Rockaway.
Speaker 1 (01:08:30):
He's up next to here on Giants extra point Clay,
what's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Clay going once, Clay going twice, Clay soul. Let's go
to our buddy Harvey and Dix Hills. Harvey, what's up? Harvey?
Speaker 16 (01:08:42):
Are you all? You know? You know you don't talk.
You're talking about coaching. You know, Shane Bone has been
rather vanilla or mediocoma. That's my opinion since it came here.
But having said that, if you're looking for answers, I've
tried to look for answers myself, and I think one
of the weaknesses I've just offense has been setting the
edge or his call calls containment, or my coach called
(01:09:05):
boxing in. There just seems to be too many situations
where the quarterback goes around the right or left end,
either the defense stops or they just don't touch them.
And I think that's a major weakness here. And of
course my coach used to say, you need defensive back coverage,
and you know it really depends on that. You really
can't blitz, for example, when your defensive backs are not covering.
(01:09:27):
That's where I think one of the big weaknesses. Your
comment about that, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Mean, I think that is part of it. And you
saw some Caleb Williams scrambles. They picked up some big
chunkyard aage when they were playing man coverage and it
becomes unfortunately, athlete for athlete, And that was on the
game winning touchdown. Caleb Williams is scrambled pushing out of
the pocket and he's man covered per se by the
(01:09:52):
spy in that case, it was Bobby ocareke, and he
just outran Bobby o'caoke. He was a better athlete in
the moment and he got to the edge and ultimately
got in for the touchdown. The reason you do that
is because you're trying to get home. And by the way,
they got home right they got they they created a
broken play on a on a drop back pass. Caylen
Williams was just a better athlete in his moment. He
(01:10:15):
made the play that he needed to make and the
Giants defense individually and collectively could not.
Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
Take to look at it on the AL twenty two,
but I don't think they were particularly vanilla on those
last two Bears drives.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
They were doing some different stuff. Absolutely they were. They
changed it up multiple times. It was it was they
just weren't able to get home. Getting home is the
biggest thing when you bring pressure and you got to
hope that your guys make the play and they and
they weren't able to. Let's go to Lawrence and Oklahoma City, Lawrence,
what's going on, Hey, Lawrence?
Speaker 15 (01:10:43):
This is just this has just gotten painful. Tikey knows me.
I call him all the time. How do we just
like lock it in whenever we get a lead, that
we're going to cough it up and get it up
and there's and there's no accountability. I feel like it's
the same excuses every time we lose. And for me,
it's a I'm not watching until one of these coaches
gets fired. There's because we're not going to win with them,
and it's just there's no point in watching them. It's like,
(01:11:04):
it's just disgusting being a Giants fan.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
No, well, it's frustrating for sure, and I mean it
absolutely is because these aren't these aren't blowout losses. These
aren't you want, you don't belong on the same field
type losses. They're in the game and they're in the position,
the players are in position to win the games, yes, exactly,
and then they're just not able to do so. And
again I'll give I'll give credit to the Bears. They
(01:11:28):
this is what they've done all season long. They're not
particularly great, but they find ways to win close games.
If you're watching the TV broadcast, they showed all of
their close games that they've had this season and they've
found ways to win. So give them credit. But at
the same time, that's where the Giants are lacking. This
is where a winning football team finds a way to
make a play and win a game, and the Giants aren't.
(01:11:49):
Don't have that right now. And is it coaching? Sure?
Is it player execution sure? Is it special teams? Absolutely,
it's it's all of the above. Team effort, it's team.
It's a team effort. You know, you get this cliche
and it's annoying to listen to. And we lose as
a team, we win as a team. This one felt like, yeah,
we lost as a team, no question about it. Lucas
in Randolph, New Jersey, Lucas.
Speaker 23 (01:12:10):
What's up, Hey, thanks for taking my call again. It's
two weeks in a row now of just depression with
this Giants. But I think my question for you I
have two parts. One is you were just talking about
like the coaches, the players, all that stuff. Do you
think maybe Dabos kind of lost the locker room.
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
No, it doesn't feel like there's still efforts. It doesn't
feel like that. You would know, I would know that
would happen if you would, if you would see the
effort start to wane. And in the forty nine Ers loss,
it felt like the effort wayne. It felt like they
were getting beat down and the tackling went went to pot.
It was just six or seven straight runs for saying, like, man,
(01:12:52):
you know what they're doing. I know what they're doing.
The martian who has never seen a football game knows
what the hell they're doing. And yet they were still
finding ways to have success. That to me, that's an
effort thing. But then they rebound from that loss and
play a hell of a three quarter game against the
Bears on the road in terrible weather conditions, and that
tells you that they're not dialed out to what the
(01:13:15):
coach is preaching. It's just I mean, I don't want
to say they're not good enough, but they're just not
good enough, right, They're not good enough individually and as
a team that they haven't found out how to win,
and that's what's ultimately going to be the determiner of
the future of this organization. Let's go to Stephen and
Brooklynees up next.
Speaker 13 (01:13:31):
Steven, Hey, guys, listen, I represent the angry mob. Not
a fan, but the mob. Listen. I want to give
you two stats right now. The Giants are always for
this season with leading by ten points on the road. Yep,
they have given up seventy five points in the last
four games these past four weeks. Let me trans ask
(01:13:56):
you a question, Brian Babel, you worried telling you and
not and a head coach that had the balls to
make the change at quarterback and reappreciate that we found
a franchise quarterback. So I give you that dial because
what you are giving up all these choints on defense?
(01:14:18):
Why aren't you not intelligent enough to either make the
change at defensive ordinator and get rid of this guy
that is destroying your career. Because listen, at the end
of the day, you're gonna lose your job. Not because
you're not a good offensive coordinator, but you cannot know
(01:14:40):
good quarterbacks, but you just can't make it the decision
to get rid of this defensive coordinator. Nikki, just give
me an answer why that doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
Well, I mean, well, he already fired one, and he
made the decision this offseason to retain this guy, so
he owns it. It's just like any decision that you
make in your life, whether it's to turn right at
the fork in the road, it's your decision and you
ultimately have to leave with it. Even if you get
far down that road you realize, Man, I'm on the
wrong path, and by the way, you can't turn back.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
He listens to every defensive call that gets made. He
watches the tape on Monday, every defensive possession, knows what
the call is, knows what the players are supposed to do.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
So he is to.
Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
Decide is this a the play that's call problem or
is it a players executing the call problem?
Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
Yeah, and it comes down to me ultimately, it's the
execution of the plays, or really the lack of exceptional
plays being made by his really good players on the
deepense side of the ball. At times, I.
Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
Usually asked for a preview tiky of Giants Packers next
week pregame by the way on the fan at eleven am.
But we don't know the quarterbacks could be so it's
kind of hard to preview that game right now, is it?
Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
Right? Very hard. It's going to be tough. Hopefully Jackson
Dart heals well and quickly. Yes, everybody, thanks for being
with us today.
