Speaker 1 (00:00):
What what were they doing those last couple of drives and
you guys just last stop. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I feel like it made some good adjustments. They were
testing a lot of our rules, you know, and coverage,
and I really feel like we built them out in
a lot of our penities.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
So I'm sorry and realized you weren't talking. You were
crushed in Denver three weeks ago. Can you believe you're
in this in a very similar spot here a couple
of weeks later? And how do you how do you
stop beating the spot?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I don't know, man, I wish I had to answer,
But it's like the fourth game. We don't, you know,
beat ourselves in the fourth quarter, putting together three three
great quarters and.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
They're coming, they're not finishing. I don't know. That's a
that's a tough question to answer.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
When you look at that, obviously you're looking within yourselves.
Do you ever wonder I mean, obviously the coaches are
trying to give you a percent of that's a right.
I don't know what Dave said afterwards. I don't resue.
You know, it's pretty.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Crushing loss, But is it difficult to maintain your confidence
in the coaching I think you're trying to blame somebody
because you guys are making the feeling and they're there're
certainly question right now, Dave's.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
And I ain't really focused on, you know, anything relating
to the future.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I really just focused on trying to get a win,
you know, trying to finish out these damn games. That's
the only thing that really matter right now, because we're
playing good ball, just not finishing and that's the that's
the tough part. You feel like where comes you guys
are pressing a little bit, or certain guys are pressing
a little bit because.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
The past failures are in the back of your mind,
pressing that in what forcing the issue?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Trying to maybe play outside of the one eleventh kind
of thing that I'm not sure. I think. I think
there are slip ups in in in the one eleventh
as far as like doing your job, and that it.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Really comes down to mental stamina, you know, just being
able to keep going and focusing on what you have
to do.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
I don't think anybody's like trying to, you know, be Superman.
But at the end of the day, my.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Bad here, my bad there from every every other guy
you know, ultimately ends and you know, an explosive for them.
Like I said, so, I'm still self inflicted wounds and
shooting myself in the foot. He's come back every week
in practice, you individually have talked about how gone flushed.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Let's go. Can can a team ever be broken to
the point where broke broken hard to broken scheme? You
just got to keep picking yourselves up, and that.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Can't be broken if I'm on it, If I can
help the finna be broke, you know we're gonna stick together.
You know We're gonna come back and fight. Man like
I ain't got no uh peachy, I ain't got no
give up in my body, you feel me? So if
I got anything to do that, Don'm gon lead to
see him. We try to keep everybody together and keep us,

(03:02):
you know, focusing on next fight.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
But we gotta keep swinging like that with the loss
like this. What is it a tougher to do that?
It's fun thing to say it, but then there's also
change you guys might not I do as much. I mean, shop,
I can't speak of every individual man, but I've been
in love enough. It is tough. But at the same time,
our job you jim me, so, I mean if I
got said down, I don't got down. Got that in me.

(03:26):
You know, I'm gonna fight every time we got a
game on something, fighting or whatever.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
These losses, these losses pile up, there's gonna be a
lot of.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Talk about Brian Davil and his job security. There is
his locker room still believing him for you guys feel
like he's the right guy for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
As long as he in his building, I'm believing him.
As long as any of them my coaches, I'm believing him.
And that's just where I stand me. I don't switch up.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
So what do you see? What do you What do
you see that makes you think that they can These
are the guys you can get to stick. I mean
we in every game, it just comes down to us
finishing it. And I put that on all of us.
Put that on our star players, our role players. I
put it on myself. You know. It's places I gotta finish.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I gotta fish certain sacks, I gotta get the ball out,
I gotta make the impact play, you know, to to
solidify that win. So, uh, I put it on all
of us. Bro, It's not just one person and the
damn sure, not just the coaches. So it's all of
us

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
