Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have you been in contact with games? Yeall talk to
Dave's a little bit, okay, I mean what's your sense
of him?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
You know, just it just you know, let down here anymore?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Or I mean it's it's just tough. I mean, obviously
you never want somebody use their job and hously, he's
the one that drafted me and got me and got
me up here, and you know, just a tough situation.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Do you feel like, you know, not you personally, but
do you feel like there's a sense of you guys
let him down?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I mean yeah, I mean whenever you're losing games, you
definitely feel like it's your fault and what could I
have done? What could I have done better just to
make this situation that happen? So but now, I mean,
obviously we got to move on and continue to try
to win games.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I want to know, how does that switch flip?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Is it just as simple as this is a business and.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
This is what we play for, or you know, how
do you move past the shop and turn them into
something positive? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I mean, just like you said, I'm at the end
of the day, it's a business. We all have the
job to go out there and do do what we do,
and I mean just go out there and support Calf too.
So just going out there and being complete and being
a being a good football You'll have a.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Different quarterback for your passes this week. What what is
that infusion of a different personality in that hotel today?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I mean, I thank you all. I know pretty much
know James pretty well and great personality, great person and
I'm ready to go out there and play with Jamis
at the end of the day. Got to go go
out there and get open and test the football film.
When you look at him in practice, at his age
and the stage's career, what do you see physically, you know,
compared to what he.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
May have been a while ago.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
I mean, he might not be able to run as well,
but you know the ball still jumps out of his
hand and so able to get get the ball wherever
it needs to be and making the reads where he's
supposed to go. And so just look forward to on
Sunday looking at his history and his stats and everything's live. Yeah,
I say, yeah, no matter who's out there, run out,
you've got to be ready to catch the ball. So

(01:48):
all ralch alive with Jamis back there, even whenever he
starts to create back in the backfield, so just gotta
be ready.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Does he throw a different type of ball than Jackson
versus Rass.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I always say two different. I would say the D
ball maybe a little bit different. But at the end
of the day, you know, it's football.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
In what way is a little different?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
I mean, obviously you know Russ is like that moon
ball and jamis is it just it's pretty similar. But
then obviously just go right up in the sky like
that way. At the end of the day, it's a
pretty it's a pretty ball going up in there.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I wonder, how do you how do you make the
most of these last seven years?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I mean, at the this is the last time that
this fool team will be together, and you know, I
love all these guys and getting to know each and
every one of these every each each and every one
of my teammates, so just wanted to play for them
and go out there and just try to win games
for everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
It's kind of crazy, though, right because sometimes when these
things happen, here are there are only three games left
or that kind of you know, you guys have essentially
a half of the season still to go here, plus
a bye week.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
How do you.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Start, how do you know as a team collectively? I mean,
do you guys talk about that? You know what, Look,
there's still still time here. I mean, maybe not to
accomplish everything that you wanted to accomplish, but it's not
like there's just two weeks left here in this season.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, and I mean I think we obviously know that
we're not a bad football team. We just need to
learn how to finish football games and you know, play
sixty minutes and not fifty minutes. So just continue to
go out there and showcase what we can do, and
obviously just want to get some wins on the board.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Is there any sense of playing for Calf a little bit?

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Oh? Yeah, no doubt. I mean, I mean, he wants
to go out there, he wants to coach. Obviously, he's
going to coach his ass off, and we want to
play our ass off and

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
