Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, hello, hello,
welcome back.
Go ask, sawyer.
My name is Jamie, I'm your hostand happy Sunday, welcome.
Thank you so much for pressingplay.
Sometimes that's the hardestthing and I appreciate every
single person who is showing up.
Season four is all aboutjournaling to find yourself, to
(00:22):
process, to heal whatever yourpurpose or intention is.
Or you just want to learn howto journal because you're not
really sure what to do, andsometimes it's nice to have
someone just tell you what to do.
So, as always, you're going toneed your journal and something
to write with, or your notes app, however you like to do that.
Set your timer for threeminutes and I'm going to ask you
(00:45):
just to write for three minutes.
Let your brain, let all thethoughts and everything fall out
of your brain.
As I've suggested before, youcould write song lyrics.
I usually start by writing aletter to myself or just
reflecting on my day.
Actually, the other thing Ihave done because I started
doing this in November I've beenwriting to like my future
(01:06):
partner.
So I always started out withdear my love or good morning, my
love, and then I tell her aboutmy day.
So I don't know, maybe just Iwas manifesting something, so
you could do anything you want, but I'm going to ask you to
press pause right here and setyour timer and I'll see you in
three minutes.
Welcome back.
(01:27):
If you did not press pause, welcome back anyways.
Okay, today is going to be shortand sweet.
We have done so much workaround finding our purpose,
understanding our purpose.
Shame what shame means to us,how shame shows up, settling,
why we settle where we settle.
And then last week we focusedon anger and that was I don't
(01:51):
even know why, I don't even knowwhy, but that felt like a
really hard episode for me, Ithink because I struggle with
that emotion and, again, Iunderstand secondary, but that
episode just felt hard for me.
So I thought this week let'sjust take a little Taylor Swift
advice and shake it off.
This is the week of opposites.
(02:11):
You are going to say yes tosomething that you normally say
no to, and say no to somethingthat you normally say yes to.
Again, you have put in so muchwork.
You are showing up for youintentionally, even if you don't
know what you're doing.
I promise you, if you stick withthis, in three months from now,
you'll look back and be likeI'm so happy, I started
(02:34):
journaling, or I started lookingat my emotions or my whys.
So let's have some fun.
We're going to start out withIsaiah 43, 18 to 19.
Forget the former things.
Do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing.
Now it springs up, do you notperceive it?
I am making a way in thewilderness and streams in the
(02:57):
wasteland.
I love that.
Making a way in the wildernessand streams in the wasteland, so
maybe places that you oncethought you were lost.
He is making a way.
What is your new way?
Your new thought pattern?
Or just a moment to take abreak of what you normally do,
the way you maybe normally think, act or survive in this world.
(03:19):
When we take a new direction, Ipromise you, you guys,
beautiful things can happen.
So many beautiful things havehappened in my life when I have
chosen a different direction andI'm not just saying like I'm
going to chop all my hair off,I'm not talking about drastic,
necessarily, but just littlethings.
(03:39):
The first time we have a cabinup north and I always take the
same way there and the same wayback.
And after one of my breakupsnot my recent one, but the one
before I was driving home and Iput in my GPS and it gave me a
different route to take, like aroute I had never gone home.
(03:59):
It took me like through Merrilland I thought to myself, huh,
okay, let me try this way.
So, like I took a different wayhome well, different way to get
to the freeway but while I wasdoing that, I came across a
different podcast that I hadnever listened to by a new
person.
I got to see different sites.
It was like this beautifulwindy road and there was just
(04:22):
something really magical abouttaking a different direction
home.
So that could be something new.
Maybe you always drive the sameway to and from work and you
decide one day I'm not going totake the freeway, I'm going to
take all side streets orsomething like that.
Another thing I've done I reallylove dancing.
(04:42):
I really love dancing.
So I think a couple episodesago I told you guys like I've
just started dancing everywhereI've gone to kind of like shake
out emotions, but like I hadlost joy.
So it was like my way to findjoy.
And a couple weeks ago I wentline dancing with a friend and I
had so much fun Now, althoughthe bar was really small that we
(05:03):
went to and I would definitelygo back.
I definitely have put it on myradar now to find bars that
teach line dancing.
I just I really, really enjoyedmyself and that was something
different and I was honestly Iwas a little nervous going there
because I didn't know what toexpect, but I had a really good
time.
I took my paddleboard out on aTuesday I love my paddleboard we
(05:26):
are in May and it was gorgeousthis last Tuesday and I just
kept going back and forth likewhat should I do tonight?
And I was like you know what?
I'm going to take my board outand I went and watched the
sunset on the lake and it wasamazing.
And then I met a lady and shetold me about this other lake
that is out near Oconomowoc.
It's a smaller lake that hasall these channels that go out
(05:48):
to the bigger lakes and she saidthere's this really cool bright
blue bar.
So I looked it up, I found it.
I haven't gone yet, but again Ijust discovered a new lake and
well, gunnar really made thisfriend, I didn't, and maybe I
made a new friend.
Then I decided, oh, I haven'tdone this recently, but like a
year, a couple years ago, Idecided not to drink for like 30
(06:10):
days.
That could be something you tryfor a week or two and purposely
going out into social settingsand not drinking, just kind of
seeing how you're feeling, trying something different,
shaking it out Karaoke.
I always say I cannot sing.
I don't think I'm the worstsinger in the world, but some
(06:35):
people that I used to know didkaraoke and so I got up the
courage to do it and I was soscared I was like sweating,
shaking, but it really pushed meto be in front of people when
I'm scared.
But like, I'm going to show upanyways and really get into that
mindset of like who reallycares, right, like if I'm having
fun, who really cares.
So this week I really going toshow up anyways and really get
into that mindset of like whoreally cares, right, like if I'm
having fun, who really cares.
So this week I really want tochallenge you to try something
(06:55):
new.
Say yes to something thatnormally you say no to.
Maybe it's going out to dinnerin the middle of the week,
taking a new drive home, findinga new musical artist in a genre
that normally you're like Iwould never listen to this.
Going to a city that younormally don't go to.
I don't know.
If you live in Milwaukee, maybeyou're like I'm going to go out
(07:20):
to Lake Country one night andwatch the sunset.
I'm going to go to PewaukeeLake, I'm going to go out to
Oconomowoc and just trysomething different.
And I don't want you tooverthink it.
I want you just to do it andthen see how your body reacts.
And then I want you to find oneplace in your life this week
that you can say no when younormally would say yes.
(07:40):
This might be harder to do inyour job setting, but where are
places or people or things thatyou're always like yes, yes, yes
?
And this week you're like I'mgoing to say no, or I'm not
going to go, or I'm.
I want to make a differentdecision.
I want you to do that and thinkabout which one of those
decisions was easier or harder.
(08:00):
Journal about it and then justreflect on that.
I really hope you have fun withthe yes one, because I don't
know it like wires your brain tolet you know you can do hard
things.
Oh, that's the other thing Istarted doing, or I'm really
good at it now, but going out todinner by yourself.
Now I do go sit at the bar, sothere's other people around, but
(08:22):
I have gone to sit at a tableby myself.
Maybe you decided to go to themovies by yourself.
You decide to go down to thelakefront and walk by yourself,
and this could be like somepeople do this stuff by
themselves all the time, but ifyou're scared of that, that
would be a really fun thing todo.
So the second verse, proverbs 16, three commit to the Lord
(08:42):
whatever you do, and he willestablish your plans.
I truly believe when you putout into the universe I want to
do this, whatever that might be,and then you start moving
accordingly to that way, doorswill start opening up.
He will open them up to you orwhatever you believe in spirit,
spirit, universe, however youbelieve.
(09:04):
If you want to be anentrepreneur, take a day and be
like yeah, I'm going to start awebsite.
I'm going to watch a YouTubevideo on how to do this.
I'm currently working to builda website.
I don't know what I'm doing,but I'm watching some videos on
how to do it, because I have avision in my head and I'm going
to try to make it come to life.
So I'm going to pull us a cardjust popped right out right
(09:29):
before I.
Let us leave it's Eye of theNeedle Intentionality.
So I am using the Shaman'sDream Oracle book or deck, I
should say Clarity, positiveOutcomes.
Oh, I love this one.
If you look through the eye ofa needle, what do you see?
Summon the experience of beingso singularly focused on the
task ahead that it becomesnatural to remove everything
(09:53):
that is a distraction fromaround you, every non-essential,
so you succeed.
What is, in this case, thedefinition of success?
In order for the threading ofthe needle to happen, everything
not in alignment with your goalneeds to go.
This is the only way you'll getwhat you need Shrewd
discernment, the willingness towillow down the needle, thread
(10:17):
connection to its essence.
The eye of the needle looks sotiny, but once your intention
threads through it, a vastopportunity is presented on the
other side.
The needle can mend, can sewthings together to make
something meaningful and new.
You're experiencing successright now.
Stay true to your desires, tothe work you need to accomplish.
(10:40):
So you are laser focused on theexperience of creating and
manifesting.
The outcome is assured bydivine forces.
Oh, I just love that for thisweek.
Get clear, get focused, havefun.
Eleanor Roosevelt said do onething every day that scares you.
Let's get scared this week.
(11:00):
Okay, let's get scared.
Say yes to something younormally say no to, say no to,
normally say yes to.
And hey, stay cute, stay loud, keep dancing, even when everyone
else is watching.
Peace.
