1. The Greatest College Football Team of all time????? 2019 LSU Tigers, 2001 Miami Hurricanes? : Joe Burrow dominated on offense. 15-0. Burrow- 5671 yards, Clyde Edward’s Ran for 1414 yards, Ja’Marr Chase Receiving: 1780, Derek Stingley 6 interception. 568 Yards per game. 50+ points per game. Best 5 top 10 teams
2. Best College Football player of all time? Dillon Gabriel? Accounts for 19931 career yards, over 18000 passing. 2nd in history. 1130 points most in NCAA Division I
3. Top Heisman Snubs of all time? Payton Manning- 3819 yards 36 TDs, 62.6% completions, 11 interceptions, 11-2. not really that impressive of a season…. I think it was Nebraska’s Tommie Frazier who lost to Eddie George of Ohio State. Frazier let Nebraska to a 12-0 season and a natty. Accounted for 31 TD’s dual threat QB. 1700 yards passing 700 on the ground. Not dominant in today’s standards for a RPO QB, but in those days he was dangerous.
4. Best Heisman Season of all time? Barry Sanders 1988, still an unbroken rushing record.
5. What is the most iconic rivalry in college football? Everyone says Ohio State vs Michigan. Known as The Game, it’s been going on since 1897. 62-56 6 ties Michigan leads: Auburn vs Alabama, 51-37 Alabama leads; Florida vs Georgia: Georgia leads it 57-44 been in Jacksonville since 1915. Navy vs Army 63-55 navy leads. Harvard vs Yale, 71-61-8. Yale leads.
6. Does a players recruiting rankings in high school determine outcomes in college and beyond? 58% of 5 star recruits make it to the nfl. 29% of first round draft picks were 5 stars out of high school. 23% of 4 star recruits make it to the NFL. 66% of first round picks are 4 star. For 3 star players it’s .4% in the first round. 6% make it to the NFL.
7. Some exceptional players in the NFL who were not 4 or 5 star. Patrick Mahomes was a 3 star and outside the top 300. Josh Allen was a 3 star. Deebo Samuel was a 3 star. Dak Prescott was a 3 star. Travis Kielce was a 3 star.
8. Best College Basketball Rivalry. Obviously Duke vs North Carolina. Faced off 258 times North Carolina leads it 142-115. NC has 6 National Championships while Duke has 5. 1st game was in January 1920.
9. Greatest Comeback in NFL History- 51- Pats vs Atlanta Super Bowl 51. Midway through the 3rd quarter it was 28-3. Brady got the pats to 28-28 at the end of the game. James white ran a 2 yard rushing td in overtime. Previous to this the biggest comebacks were by 10 points. Who were those by? Washington redshkims vs Denver and saints vs colts.
10. The greatest comeback in NFL history is said to be the Minnesota Vikings coming back against the Indianapolis Colts in 2022. The Vikings overcame a 33 point deficit half time to win 39 to 36. The Vikings secured the winner in overtime with a field goal.
