Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, thanks for
tuning in to the old Halfway to
Dead bonus content again today.
This one's with Chrissy.
So if you guys haven't listenedto episode 41 yet with Chrissy
Melger, go back.
You got to listen, she'samazing.
So this is.
These are conversations that wekind of had after the fact or
during the conversation, kind ofboth, and it was interesting
(00:23):
conversation that maybe westarted tangenting off a little
bit from our holistic businesscoaching and we headed off a few
different directions.
But we had so much fun, youguys.
We talked Reiki, dogs, husbands, and we talked more about where
she's at in her spiritualjourney, because she's like
she's starting a channel, she'sgetting some stuff, she's
(00:44):
opening up.
So we talked about that.
I talked about how I used myintuition when I had my
photography business.
Guys, it's just more wonderfullittle conversation insights
between Chrissy and I.
So jump in and just hear alittle bit more of some of the
fun convo we had.
At least you feel settled andlike you're on the right path,
Absolutely, yeah, yes, and isyour husband on board with all
(01:06):
this?
He?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
is supportive of it,
but he is definitely someone who
needs to see the evidence andthe science.
Yeah, so he by ancestry isjewish but was not raised in any
kind of way other than likethey put out Christmas
decorations because his momloves Christmas decorations and
(01:29):
they they did some thingsdifferent thing.
But he will have really amazingconversations about like
energetics or what, what onenessis or what Reiki is, and he'll
ask me like, hey, can you giveme some Reiki?
Like I'm feeling kind of funkytoday.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
So he's into it Like
because I hear this a lot from a
lot from women that theirpartners are supportive, but no,
they're not doing all thisstuff we're doing, which is fine
.
We don't need people to do whatwe're doing.
Just don't be rude about it.
Be supportive.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Right, I will say
it's been really fun because
over the last probably likeeight or so months he's getting
more into it where, like he'susing EFT tapping, which is
energetics based, he's doingjournaling and scripting on his
own, like without me, and it'sjust been really interesting to
(02:22):
see him kind of go on his ownjourney of what that looks like
for him and approach itdifferently.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yes, okay, side note
too, because I love dogs too and
you love dogs.
Do you do Reiki on your dogs?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
I got Reiki certified
because of my dogs.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
That makes sense.
I love that.
Yep, so you do, so you do, I do.
Yes, I had someone come toReiki.
One of my guests came and didReiki on my animals too, and I
loved it.
I thought it was super cool, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Mine are like they're
10 and a half, almost 11 now,
and I, like I said, it's been afew years.
They were both having so mucharthritis pain.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
I was like how can I
help them?
And they we did a couple ofsessions.
I think it works, everything'senergy how can it not work?
It's like science behind thattoo, you guys.
Okay, well, we're not going toget off on a Reiki tangent
because this is not herspecialty, but we were talking
about Reiki and I was like, oh,I wonder if she does it with the
dogs, cause I I got mycertification, just part one,
kind of mostly for myself, and Iwas thinking I could use it for
(03:28):
my animals too that's so sweet.
I love that no, I'm like whatcan I do to help my?
So I used to have my ownphotography business for 15
years and I ran my own studioand I had a store, I don't know
kind of shit, okay, and I usedto take on clients, like you
said, whether it was for awedding or doing business shots,
(03:48):
whatever it was, whatever thephotography was.
There were some of them that Iwould take because they paid
what I was charging and thebills got to get paid and I
could do it Professionally, Icould do it, it'll turn out well
, it'll be great.
But then you get to it andyou're like, professionally, I
could do it, it'll turn out well, it'll be great.
But then you get to it andyou're like, oh, I don't like
these people, this is torture, right, like you know.
(04:09):
You'd know, I feel like I wouldknow.
Sometimes I'd meet with acouple let's say it's for a
wedding.
You know the couple blah, blah, blah.
And it got to the point whereif I didn't feel a connection
with the couple, I didn't wantto take it anymore.
I stopped taking it because I'malready going to be taking a
Saturday away from my family andmy life for these people.
And yes, I'm getting paid and, yes, it's going to help me pay
(04:32):
my bills, but I'm not spendingthat whole day with a bunch of
people that I just want tostrangle.
Sometimes it's a matter of Ican tell our values don't line
up and so I don't think I canspend the whole day with you and
your family.
I don't think I can tell ourvalues don't line up and so I
don't think I can spend thewhole day with you and your
family.
I don't think I can do it.
Of course I didn't tell themthat, chrissy.
We don't tell people that justseeing out there, you don't say,
yeah, I don't, you don't,you're, you're, you're bad, I
(04:53):
don't want doing this Like, Idon't like your vibe.
I had a much better day when Ichose the clients that aligned
(05:13):
with me.
I had wonderful days.
I had awesome Saturdays where Iwas working.
It was someone's wedding and Ivibed with everyone.
It was fun.
I got you know what I mean.
I was able to do my job betterbecause I was getting their
authentic smiles.
I was getting their authenticpersonality right.
Versus someone who I'm oil andwater with, I mean I'm not
(05:34):
getting a great smile out of you, guess what.
I don't even think I care if Iget a good smile out of you.
If I don't, oh God, all right.
If you're an old clientlistening, love you, no, like,
no.
But you're right In business wehave to see.
Does this align?
Does this feel right?
Because, guess what, there'sonly so many Saturdays in a
(05:56):
month.
If you're a photographer thatyou can commit to and if you're
filling them up with a bunch ofpeople who don't line up, you
don't have room for the peoplewho come.
That would have you know whatyou're channeling.
Yet I don't you feel moreconnected to, like angels,
spirit guides?
Are you tapping on Akashicrecords?
(06:16):
Are you like talking with thosefrom the other side?
What are you doing?
What are you tapping into?
Do you know yet?
Or are you working with someone?
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I don't fully know
yet I am working with someone.
I definitely think some of itis other side.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Like I've had
specific things come through and
I'm like, oh, okay, and byother side you're meaning are
you meaning those have passedbefore us?
Ancestors?
Are you talking?
I mean listen, I can talkwhatever.
Are you talking?
Angels, alien spirit, guides, what do we got?
God, jesus himself?
I think they're all there to bechanneled.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
So you tell me I
think I freaking love you, by
the way.
I love this.
I think it is past ancestorsand I also think that it is
spirit guides, because I've hadsome very interesting sometimes
slightly terrifying them dreamexperiences because they're
(07:18):
happening while I'm asleep, where I'm physically feeling the
things that are happening inthe dream, and those have
definitely been, in part, spiritguides, either mine or others.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
I just don't know yet
.
Okay, so they're coming throughwhile you're sleeping.
So they like when you're morein your Seda and everything else
.
So do you meditate quite a bit?
I actually almost nevermeditate.
That's what you're.
They're waiting for you tomeditate Because you're getting
this through your sleep, becausethat's the only place they can
get through to you is in yourfreaking sleep, right
(07:46):
Subconsciously.
When you open it up during theday, you can drop in, you can
get to Theta and some of theseother little levels when you're
meditating and then you're goingto get the good stuff and
you're going to remember it allso you can write it down or
channel for other people.
Who knows God, by 2026, youmight be coming back on the show
to tell us about yourchanneling, your intuitive
(08:08):
business coaching yeah, yourintuitive.
It might switch again.
If you need to practice, youjust zoom me or whatever.
We'll practice.
You can.
You can, yeah, tap into me.
See what you got.
I'm pretty open, love it.
You can channel for me.
I've got all kinds of peoplechanneling for me that never
have before.
I had a guest channel thePleiadians for me.
(08:28):
Oh, that's so cool, okay, andI'd never had done where.
It was the coolest thing ever.
So no, I'm open to whateveryour channel and you can channel
for me, yep.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Just let me know.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I know, no, I love
the animals.
In fact, my dog right now he'snot little, but my dog I have to
.
He hates it Only when I record.
He has to go in his kennelbecause that dog will be chill
and fine all day, lazy as a boneSome reason.
The minute I go to record, heneeds this, he needs that.
He's tip-tapping his feetaround, he's snoring real loud,
(09:04):
so he gets them.
I give him a special treat onlywhen he has to go do that.
But I'm like I'm sorry, buddy, but this is on you.
I've tried to leave you out andyou can't handle yourself, so
you just got to go cuddling fora little bit.
I got a fuzzy blanket in there.
It's lovely.
It's got his favorite chewy,he's fine.
But he'll be waiting and everyonce in a while I'll hear him
(09:25):
howling.
I'll be like don't forget, I'mout here, mom.
Yeah, he'll howl a little bit,my little rescue buddy, but yeah
, no, he'll be excited when weget done, which I knew you were
a dog person.
So I was like maybe you couldstay up.
No, because I'm not going to bedistracted by your crazy
breathing and barking.
And that'll be exactly when UPScomes to the front fucking door
(09:47):
.
Oh no, we're not doing thattoday.
I'm not going to disrespectother people's time either, like
no, I'm sorry, you're spoiled,fucking rotten.
You can be in a kennel for onehour, it's fine.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
No, I'm a big fan of
natural light and we're lucky
that, like, our house has a lot,of, a lot of it.
Yeah, everything gets closedwhen I'm on any kind of record,
so they can't see outside.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
They all know you
have to Yep.
Because it's the perfect heightfor their chin, so they can just
watch, oh, and there's asquirrel running, there's birds,
there's squirrels, who knowswhat's coming through the yard,
and then shit gets going to hitthe fan.
No, I know, I've tried that,I've tried that during this I'll
(10:28):
shut all the blinds.
For some reason that damn dogstill knows I'm recording and
needs something from me.
And I'm like, no, no, no, buddy, you're not a little dog either
.
You can't just be all up inhere on my lap.
You're not a cat.
And anyway, what Right now?
What Right now?
I don't know, and I almost youknow.
You get to the point whereyou're like, all right, I'll
just cancel the recording.
All right, buddy, yes, you aremy number one, I get it.
(10:50):
Yeah, oh yeah, I had a whole, yeah, I've had whole
conversations with him that areprobably recorded.
But yep, that's who I talk toduring the day my dogs, duh, yep
.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
No better
conversation than with a dog.
Yeah, whatever, I've been homefor 2017.
I transitioned from anin-person job to an at-home job.
My husband was still was stillin office until the pandemic.
The biggest adjustment, I think, for him wasn't like being home
or any of that, was I talked tothe dogs all day long and we'll
have full-on conversation.
(11:30):
Sure, like, this is what we'redoing and this is.
He literally looked at me oneday because we had to share an
office and he's like who are youtalking to?
Like you don't stop talking allday.
And I'm like uh, it's just meand the boys.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeah, like, mind your
business, I'm having
conversations, that's not yourproblem.
No, because sometimes myhusband will be around.
I'll be like I love you andhe'll be like who are you
talking to?
And he knows it's the dog.
He knows I'm talking to the dog.
I'll be like I love you so muchand he'll look over.
And how do I get out of this?
(12:05):
I'm like both.
I guess no.
And he knows.
He already knows I was talkingto a dog or a cat.
I was for sure talking to a dogor a cat.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
I'm saying it that
lovingly too, Like I love you so
much, Like who's the bestlittle boy ever.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
You know, and my
husband's like Jesus, I'm home
all day with the dogs now, sojust get used to it.
I don't care.
They can understand me, Iunderstand them.
It's fucking fine.
Yeah, no, I love my animals.
I could live with probably justanimals.
Be pretty, okay, yep.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
My hubby can cook.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
He can see my
disorder.
I said I gotta cook.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Oh god, all right,
you gotta keep her yep, yeah,
keep up with him thinking I'mnuts, no, he loves your dogs and
he cooks done.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Is there more?
What more do you really need?
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I think that's plenty
I mean, he is taller than me so
he can reach the stuff high up,which is helpful.
Bonus yep.
And he takes care of all thebugs and all the gross things
and does he take the garbage out.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
He does.
Alright, you're set, you'regood, I'm not.
I've put up with all his.
Yeah, no need to changeanything there.
Yep, you're good.
He's good, he's a keeper.
Oh God, all right.
All right, I'm not going to.
I could talk all day, but I'mnot going to take up your whole
day.
You got shit to do.
You're running a business,right, I get it.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
This was seriously.
This was so much fun, though,so far, for reaching out.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah, awesome this is
going to be good, perfect, all
right.
Thank you, and this has beengreat.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I've appreciated this
so much.
Thank you so much and enjoy therest of your day.
Yeah, you too.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, I got to get my
dog out of his cage.
Yep, all right, thanks Bye.
