(00:47):
conversation.
This is your first timelistening in.
Welcome.
This is episode 89.
Our focus is on letting go ofworry and the best part of that
is that you get to hang out withJesus in doing so.
That and more is coming up.
(01:08):
Now come walk with me where weintentionally and daily hang out
with Jesus.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I am so thankful for you andfor being a listener of this
podcast.
Have a blessed day and enjoythe rest of this episode, as
(01:35):
anyone Saints.
Has anyone told you that whenyour head is full or overcrowded
with concerns, worries ormistakes or fears, ask God to
help you filter out what youdon't need to worry about?
(01:55):
Interesting concept, isn't it?
God, help me to filter out whatI don't need to worry about.
We worry about so much until ithinders us from living with
intention.
It blocks our flow, evengetting angry about stuff.
(02:21):
Like my cousin Alita says, isn't my water to swim in?
So, saints, how many times havewe swam in water or thought
about worries that we didn'tneed to?
Some of those worries almostdrown us.
(02:41):
It's amazing how a littlequestion like God, help me to
filter out what I don't need toworry about.
That packs a powerful punch.
When you think about it, we canuse it as a goal to
(03:04):
intentionally pursue limitingthe amount of worry we accept in
our lives.
In it, you are not just askingabout worries, but also space to
think clearly, room to explorethe unknown, rest for your
(03:25):
exhausted head Aplenty to learnnew things with joy, think more
meaningful thoughts and goodmemories.
Worry weighs you down.
(03:48):
Even constant living can wearyou down If you let it.
That's why this question is soneeded and so powerful to spend
time in meditating on God, helpme to filter out what I don't
(04:10):
need to worry about.
The question helps you to rollyour burdens onto God, like
Peter.
5,7 says God cares for you.
Psalm 5522 says Cast yourburdens on the Lord and he will
sustain you.
(04:30):
He will never permit therighteous to be moved.
God's got you, saints.
Can you perceive it?
God wants to do a new thing inyou, but worry, concerns,
disappointments, anxieties,depression, agitations all got
(04:51):
you weighed down in water youdon't need to swim in.
So here's a suggestion Take acouple of days and sit with God,
asking him God, help me, filterout what I don't need to worry
(05:11):
about.
Let me repeat that God, help mefilter out what I don't need to
worry about.
Then record your experienceeach time.
Practice this until it becomesa part of your life where you
(05:32):
intentionally examine yourselfin order to walk on water
instead of being pulled under towallow and self-pity and
meaningless toil.
It says, if you like, I like torejoice with you in these
discoveries, so don't forget toshare them with me in the
(05:53):
comments or at levitabrookscomslash comments.
Let's pray Lord, guide us dailyin living a life wrapped up in
and with you, and thank you forallowing us to cast our cares
upon you, because we needsomeone that can handle them
(06:18):
better than us.
Keep us safe during thisholiday season and spark us all
to be bold witnesses for you.
In Jesus' name, we pray, amen, amen.
Thanks for listening.
