I saw one where the guy put allhis books and it looked like he
(03:10):
had a screen of the booksbehind him, but then he had all
these books just floating in acircle as he took a picture.
Oh, that was cool.
So I was thinking this was agood opportunity to introduce
the world to Christian books, authors and Bibles.
(03:34):
So on February 12th, take 20minutes to post your unique
books on hashtag Library ShelfieDay on Instagram.
Yeah, and if you don't doInstagram but you do Facebook,

academy.
Calm now.
Come walk with me where weintentionally and daily hang out
(06:03):
with Jesus.
Lord, thank you for allowing usto be in your presence again
together, or such a time as this, to talk about how we should
respond when your yes seems toturn into a no.
(06:23):
And Jesus name you pray, amen.
Saints, have you ever believedthat God gave you a yes to a
particular question, then turnedaround and said no sounds
(06:44):
unreal.
Has it ever happened to you orsomeone you know well?
Recently, I asked God forsomething specific.
I know I heard a yes, saints.
I know I heard a yes, but thenyou know how you get that funny
feeling.
So you, you ask it again.
(07:06):
Well, a couple of days ago Idid.
I asked again and God said no,y'all.
That took me for a loop.
I had to say what you know.
When I realized that textstating that my hope and dream
(07:28):
would not occur simply becausethe snow closed down everything,
that the thing that I asked forGod was really saying no to
Y'all, I had a choice of how Iwas going to respond.
Sir Isaac Newton's third law ofmotion states for every action
(07:53):
there is a reaction.
Same is true in our lives.
It's called choices.
Now I had the choice of beingupset with God, pouting, letting
this one thing mess up my wholeday and my BFF was in town or
(08:16):
spending time with the Lordseeking his face about what
happened.
I chose the latter.
It was clear that I needed toreturn to when I originally
asked a question around thistopic, versus when I last asked
(08:37):
a question.
What I didn't realize until Ilook back at my journal.
I added a date to my question.
God wasn't saying no to myoriginal question.
He'd already answered andconfirmed that many times.
He was saying no to when itwould happen.
(09:02):
Just one more reason whyjournaling is important.
Y'all Praise God for journalingbut, saints, because I chose to
spend time with the Lord, heallowed my devotional reading,
bible verses and even theinspirational message I listened
(09:23):
to for that day to confirm justhow much he loved me and to not
be discouraged or dismayedbecause he's got my back.
Saints, you may be experiencingsomething similar right now,
when the Lord seemed to besaying yes, but it turned out to
(09:44):
be no, and you too are confused.
Let me encourage you watch andpray, because God never leaves
you hanging unless you aren'thanging with him.
Hanging out with Jesus isspending time with him.
You've got to hang out withJesus in the good and the bad,
(10:10):
especially when you're confusedor upset, the devil roams around
seeking whom he may devour.
When you are in a state ofconfusion and angry with God, he
jumps at the chance of bringingyou down.
That's one in the enemy'stactics.
Let's not give him a crack tosneak into our lives.
(10:31):
This is why I continued myregular morning quiet time and
listened to my inspirationalmessage for the day.
It provided clarity in the areathat could have sent me
spiraling in the wrong direction.
Do you remember the story ofJarius in Mark 5, 21 to 43?
(10:53):
Jarius was one of the rulers inthe synagogue who fell at
Jesus' feet begging that he comewith him because his little
girl was sick.
She was at the point of death,so Jesus did.
Now, doesn't that sound likeJesus is going to heal her?
(11:16):
Yeah, I would agree, but twothings stopped it from happening
.
First thing that happened isthat a lady touched Jesus'
garment who had a menstrualcycle problem that lasted for 12
years, and she was healed.
I'm sure that was confirmationto Jarius that his daughter
(11:41):
would get healed as well, wouldn't you think so?
Second, while Jesus was talkingto the lady, someone from
Jarius' house came up and toldhim that his daughter was dead.
I don't need to bother to teachanymore.
(12:05):
Y'all, I can see Jerry's heartfeeling, can't you?
This must have hit him in thegut, in his faith in Jesus was
about to spiral.
He probably despised the ladywho just got healed for
interrupting Jesus from going tohis house.
Saints, when we don't get ourway, sometimes that hurt it
(12:31):
aches.
But just like God spoke to methrough these scriptures, he
will do the same to you.
The proof is right here in awritten life of Jerry's.
Jesus overheard the conversationbetween Jerry's and the person
coming from his house.
(12:52):
You know what Jesus said Do notfear, only believe.
I know that must have beencomforting but also confusing
for Jerry's.
She's dead, but the one hetrusted before she died told him
(13:17):
to not be afraid, but onlybelieve.
Y'all Jerry's did.
He did, because they continuedto his house the amazing things
that Jerry's and his daughterreceived, a blessing that was
greater than healing.
They saw Jesus bring her backto life.
That's a blessing beyondhealing.
(13:40):
Isaiah 4319 says Behold, I willdo a new thing.
Now it springs forth.
Can you not perceive it, y'all?
Jesus was a new thing forJerry's, because all he wanted
was his daughter healed.
So many times we think thingsare dead in our lives, like
(14:04):
there's no way that it couldever happen to us, only to find
out that it wasn't it's time tohappen.
It was just sleeping awaitingfor its designated time to
blossom, especially for you tosee.
This came by prayer andbelieving with your whole heart.
(14:28):
God wants us to be.
Hold his greatness.
That is beyond what we couldever imagine, I think.
Notice that Jesus only broughtPeter James, john, jerry's and
Jerry's wife in the room when hetold the little girl to arise,
(14:51):
they believe sometimes you gotto leave the naysayers out of
the room so faith can arise.
So, saints, the next time youget your confirmation for God
all twisted up, don't be like meand ask it again and add
something to it, and don't getan attitude.
(15:14):
Stop and go hang out with him.
He always has something betterfor you than what you imagine
For me.
God gave me that scripture.
I just shared Isaiah 4319.
This is the entire scripture.
It says Behold, I am doing anew thing.
(15:36):
Now it springs forth.
Do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in thewilderness and rivers and the
desert.
It's good to ask God questions.
Just make sure you arejournaling what you heard, when,
why, where God will do the rest.
(15:56):
Do not be afraid when God saysno to something he previously
said yes.
Just check how you worded itthe last time against his
original.
Yes, I'm finding adding datesto previous questions do make a
difference.
So continue hanging out withJesus, regardless of what you
(16:17):
hear.
God's always got your bestinterest at hand.
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that Godisn't about harming you.
He has a future and a hope foryou.
So hang out with him even moreto find out what he's saying to
(16:38):
you.
By spending time with him andhis presence.
Let's pray Our Father Yahweh, the faithful one.
We have a tendency to get upsetwhen our prayers aren't answered
(17:00):
according to what we perceive.
Help us to grow to a statewhere, when you say no, we don't
get an attitude, but keepseeking your face for clarity.
Join it.
You've got us and it's eagerlyawaiting for us to receive the
(17:24):
future and hope you prepared forus when we believe in you with
a whole heart.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Thanks for listening.
