healing, nervous system repair, and also deep inner
transformation.

You can also join one of ourupcoming live healing events and
workshops or retreats atmetaphysicalanatomy.com.
And now let's begin yourjourney back to wholeness, one

(00:50):
breath and one breakthrough at atime.
And today's episode, we'rediving deep into healing
archetypes and a healing.
Let's start first of all withjust what is a healing
archetype?
So this is almost like a it'slike a symbolic pattern or a

(01:10):
role that reflects how younormally approach your own
healing and how you support thehealing of others.
You see, archetypes are almostlike universal themes in human
behavior, like the nurturer ormaybe the warrior.
And in the context of alsohealing, and in the context of

(01:33):
healing, they represent yourinstinctive way of dealing
perhaps with pain, growth, andalso transformation.
Let's dive into some examplesof healing archetypes.
The first one that we have isthe nurturer.
This often is an archetype thatheals through compassion, care,

(01:56):
creating safety.
And then the flip side, you'llhave the warrior.
This archetype heals throughresilience, courage, um, pushing
through challenges as well.
Then we have the seeker, andthe seeker heals through
knowledge, exploration, and alsospiritual practices.

(02:20):
Then we have the alchemist.
So the alchemist heals bytransforming pain into wisdom,
and it's almost like creatingsomething new in a positive way
from struggle.
Then we have the visionary, andthe visionary heals through

(02:41):
creativity, the big picture typeof insight that this person
would have.
And also healing throughinspiring others.
So you see, your healingarchetype is not really fixed,
it actually can evolve as yougrow.
But you usually normally haveone or two dominant ones that

(03:03):
can help you to guide you as youprocess life and also perhaps
even help other people along theline.
I myself personally I've hadseveral archetypes myself.
And I notice sometimes itdepends on the type of stress
that I am addressing, that wouldactually determine which

(03:23):
archetype would come forwardwithin me to help me to process
what I'm feeling.
So you even might find yourselfnot just having one or two, but
you might go through all ofthem in different stages.
And depending on the type ofstress or challenge that you
feel challenged with, thatyou're trying to overcome.

(03:45):
No, these archetypes, generallyspeaking, I mean, they're
positive.
It's good to have them.
However, these archetypes theycan also be wounded.
And what that would look likeis when you, for example, are a
nurturer, maybe you're great atbeing um a healing, nurturing

(04:09):
source for others.
However, it is extremely hardto be that archetype for
yourself and to hold thatnurturing space at the same time
for you to heal.
You know, when you feel thatyou're good at being the
nurturer, but you it's easier togive that to other people
rather than actually giving itto yourself.
So that is when your nurturinghealing archetype is helping

(04:34):
others.
But what about you?
Where do you fit into all ofthat?
So you see, when when ourarchetypes are based on wounded
behaviors, such as maybe beingthe nurturess now again in this
case, with the intention toreceive love, or maybe it could

(04:56):
be to feel accepted, then it canstart to almost become like a
self-fulfilling prophecy.
Because the more that you give, the more you're actually
locking yourself now into apattern and into a dynamic with
people that might never give youthe acceptance that you need.
So let's say, let's go back tothe warrior, which is one of the

(05:21):
ones that we also touched on,right?
You might be the warrior byheart, but if this warrior is
wounded, then you might actuallyhelp people fight for their
dreams, but you actuallyundermine your own at the same
time.
So you see how all thesearchetypes they are meant to
divinely just strike a balancebetween you and actually also

(05:44):
your environment and the peoplethat are also in your life.
So at the end of the day, neither of these sources should
actually cause you to feel thatyou're giving too much and that
you're not able to get back.
So when you start to findyourself in that uneven
exchange, this is where we mightpotentially be leaning more to

(06:10):
looking at, well, maybe there'sa healing archetype that is
wounded.
Because the biggest roadblockthat I see is our self-esteem
and how we relate to ourselves, how we relate to our needs,
whether it is happiness, whetherit is love, fulfillment,

(06:32):
whether it's purpose, and allthese factors that I just
mentioned is greatly influencedby, of course, our childhood.
How did we see our parentschasing maybe their dreams?
Were they even chasing theirdreams?
Which wounded archetypes wouldthey have been in?

(06:54):
And which of these archetypesdid you maybe consciously or
subconsciously copy from them?
And now applying that samestrategy in your life.
Because at the end of the day, what you give to others to
support, to help, love, nurturing, all of that, all that

(07:17):
energy, it needs to be equallycoming back to you, if not
actually more.
Because if your tank runsempty, how are you going to help
these other people?
And secondly, how are you goingto be able to do that in a way
that is not going to leave youfeeling exhausted and most
likely feeling frustrated, ifnot even resentful, and then

(07:41):
feeling trapped and start notknowing how do I get out of
these dynamics?
How do I rebalance my life now?
So it can become this unhealthyspiral at the end of the day.
And then we sit there and wethink, well, how do we break it?
How do we change it?

(08:03):
So in our healing meditationcloser to the end, we're gonna
dive a little bit more into thatand just you know, touch also a
bit on the wounded parts thatthere could be, and then start
to shift that as well.
But first of all, let's see ifwe can find your archetype.
So a great way to do that is toreflect on your journey.

(08:24):
Asking yourself, when I havegone through pain or maybe
difficulty, what helped me toheal the most?
Did I lean on knowledge?
Did I lean on connection?
Did I lean on my own innerstrength?
Did I lean on creativity?

(08:44):
Did I maybe lean on a certainmindset, such as pushing through
or finding my way through it?
Which one, for example, wouldcome forward for you?
Because another beautiful wayto look at this is to notice how

(09:05):
we support other people.
So, for example, like whenfriends or clients, when they
come to you, do you listendeeply?
Do you offer maybe solutions?
Do you encourage bravery or doyou maybe inspire hope?
You see, one thing that Ilearned is the way that we

(09:31):
inspire other people, thatnatural way of just helping
others, it actually reveals yourarchetype.
But if you are in that spacewhere you feel maybe as an
example, you are the nurturerand you feel resentful when you
feel like you always just haveto nurture everyone else, and
you're feeling like, well, whenis it my turn?

(09:54):
It's more of a clear sign thatyou are in the wounded healing
archetype.
So having said that, I want topark that there just for a
minute, but also just verybriefly, just for a few seconds,
also look at and maybe tap alittle bit more into our
strengths and our shadowsbecause every archetype it has a

(10:16):
strength.
As for example, let's go backto the nurture.
The strength could becompassion and um the
challenges, the the shadow sidecould be maybe overgiving or
neglecting yourself.
So recognizing both sides here,it really can help you to see

(10:37):
yourself a lot clearer and alsoperhaps learning to build
awareness in relationship to thesensitivity that you might
feel.
Oh wow, I feel it triggerednow.
Okay, I'm leaning more now intothe wounded side of my healing
archetype.
Maybe I need to correct this.
What step can I gently take tobring this back into alignment

(10:59):
so that I feel nurtured andother people also feel nurtured
as well.
And this requires thatconscious connection, that that,
you know, really tuning intoyour body and into your
intuition as well, like noticingwhen do I feel most aligned,
when do I feel most powerful inmy healing work, in my change

(11:21):
work, and when I help otherpeople, because often these
signals, because that oftensignals your archetype at play.
And so now when you are ready, let's start our healing
meditation, diving into anddiscovering our healing

(11:41):
archetypes.
So remember, if you're walkingor driving, now is a really good
time to press that pausebutton.
And when you are ready, you cancome back again to this episode
and complete the meditationwith us.
And if you are ready right now,I invite you to sit comfortably
or you can lie down, closingyour eyes if you wish, and

(12:04):
taking a nice deep breath.
Very good.
And now I invite you to justbring your full awareness and
focus to your breath, and noticeas you are breathing, notice

(12:38):
how your body is moving withyou.
Notice your breath as well, andhow it feels when you inhale
and exhale, feel the weight ofyour body really sinking into

(13:11):
the surface beneath you, feelingfully held, fully supported,
and notice as you have yourawareness on your breath, notice

(13:39):
how with each breath you aregently feeling yourself arriving
fully in this moment, releasingthe tension in your shoulders,

(14:12):
opening up your mouth, relaxingyour jaw just a little bit, and
noticing as you do how yourthoughts start to quiet down,
your stomach relaxes, let go ofany thoughts of feeling I need

(14:36):
to be somewhere, I need to bedoing something.
And now imagine and findingyourself growing roots from the

(14:59):
base of your spine and the solesof your feet, reaching deep
down, down, down, down, down, down into the earth, feeling

(15:20):
yourself anchored, supported, and also safe in this moment, in
this moment that you arecreating for yourself now, and

(15:50):
with each inhale, draw in calm, nourishing energy from the
earth.
With each exhale, release alltension, stories, or roles
perhaps, that just no longerserve you in this moment.

(16:15):
Just fully you, authenticallyyou in the here and now.
I invite you now, in thisspace, to imagine a gentle light

(16:45):
above your head, warm goldenlight, and as it flows down
through your body, itilluminates your heart space,

(17:13):
and in the center of your chest,I invite you to imagine like a
doorway, and seeing this as theentrance to your inner healing

(17:35):
temple, this is the place whereyour soul's wisdom resides.
And when you are ready, stepping through the doorway,

(18:05):
notice the details around you,the colors, the textures, and
the atmosphere of this sacredspace.
Now, in this space, you startto sense a presence approaching.

(18:39):
This presence is your healingarchetype.
It's that part of you thatknows how you can heal, help

(19:02):
yourself and others as well.
Notice now as well how itappears.
Does it take the form of aguide, an animal, maybe a

(19:33):
symbol?
It can also be an aspect ofyourself, allow it to show you

(19:54):
who it is, and now ask itgently.
How do I naturally bringhealing into the world?

(20:17):
What strengths do I carry on myhealing path?
What message do you have for meright now?

(20:40):
And I invite you to listen withyour heart, trusting the first
impressions, the words, or maybethe feelings that starts to

(21:07):
surface, feeling the strengthsof that archetype, and maybe you
see more than one.
Just feeling the presence ofits strengths, and knowing that

(21:32):
these strengths are a mirror ofwhat is within you, allowing
these archetypes to remind youof the beauty that is within
you, that strength that iswithin you.

(21:54):
I invite you to really take inthis space that you're in,
absorb the energy of it, thewisdom of it.

(22:19):
Because this is a space thatyou can return to at any time
when you need guidance, andwhile you're in that space,

(22:45):
let's also bring in morepositive energy through positive
affirmations, such as I trustmy body's wisdom and allow
myself to heal at my own pace.
Every breath I take fills mewith calmness, safety, and

(23:14):
renewal.
I release what no longer servesme, and I'm open to new
possibilities of peace.
My past has perhaps shaped me,but it no longer defines me.

(23:43):
I am free to create a newstory.
I'm resilient, and I risestronger from every challenge
that I face.

(24:04):
Love, compassion, and healingenergy flows through me, and it
surrounds me now.
I choose to be gentle withmyself, and I honor my emotions

(24:36):
as sacred teachers.
Each day I grow more alignedwith my highest self and
authentic path.
I am worthy of joy, health, andemotional freedom.

(25:05):
My journey is a gift, and Iembrace it with courage, and I
am thankful, and taking a nicedeep breath.

(25:28):
Very good, and now bringingyour awareness back to your
breath, back to the surface, feeling that surface beneath

(25:49):
your body, bringing your fullfocus and awareness to the
bottom of your fate, wigglingyour fingers, wiggling your

(26:10):
toes, gently returning to thepresent moment.
And when you are ready, gentlyopening your eyes, and welcome
back.
Well done, welcome back, andremember that you're not alone,

(26:38):
you are healing one step at atime, one breath at a time.
And the affirmation for todayis love, compassion, and healing
energy flow through me and itsurrounds me today.
And remember that if thisepisode touched you, then please
share it with someone who'sperhaps also on their healing

(27:00):
journey.
And as always, breathe deep, listen within, and stay gently
curious.
Thank you for joining me fortoday's episode.
Thank you for your love andyour energy.
I love you, and until nexttime, be the light that you are.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
