Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello and welcome to Health Defenders Redefined.
I'm your host, anthony.
Amen and welcome to Season 5.
Guys, we made it all the wayfive years in doing this.
It's been an absolute blast.
This year, we're going to havelots of fun stuff for you.
We're going to have more rawfootage, we're going to dive
into topics even deeper, we'regoing to call people out and
we're just going to have somefun with that today.

(00:28):
That is why I decided for thisyear's first episode, we're
going to dive into differentpredictions that I personally
have for 2025.
Not predictions anything elsebesides health and fitness,
because I think this year thingsare going to change and change
rapidly.
So, without further ado, prediction number one out of the

(00:51):
four predictions we're going todive into today is RFK, the
Rosa Ringer.
This is a very broad spectrumprediction, but probably one of
the first ones to happen RFKcoming in to take over for the
health department.
There's going to be a lot ofchanges and a lot of awareness.
So where to start?
First thing is we're onchemicals, and I think this is

(01:14):
finally coming to the limelight.
I know you guys know on ourshow, just to reiterate, a lot
of ultra-processed foods areactually owned by the old
tobacco companies.
Ultra-processed foods areactually owned by the old
tobacco companies.
So those same foods you'readdicted to, like those Lay's
potato chips, are owned by thosecigarettes that we used to be
addicted to back in the 80s.
So a lot of that is starting tocome to light, with a lot more
people noticing that simpleingredients such as Red Dye 40

(01:37):
are just not as simple as theymay seem, as they may have some
harmful side effects to us, suchas increase in ADD and other
learning disabilities associatedwith kids Things we give our
kids all the time withoutrealizing it.
Hey, it's the color red.
It's in candy.
It looks good when really it'sjust some harmful chemical just

(01:59):
to get a certain color andserves no other purpose
whatsoever.
Why is it in food?
On top of that, as well asdiving into the different red
dyes, I think he's really goingto come in and try to bang right
off the get-go.
I think we're finally going toget that polyunsaturated fat ban
that's been trying to happenfor the last 10 years.
Wow, yeah, if you don't knowthe food industry by now, now

(02:23):
you understand when you look atthings like peanut butter and
you go and buy that Skippy orthat Peter Pan, which I know you
guys don't buy.
You read the back.
It says trans fat zero, butthen it says the second
ingredient, partially hydratedoils, which are trans fat,
meaning they're just changingthe serving size to make it show
zero grams.
No, it's bad for us, but theywanted to lobby to make sure it

(02:44):
took enough time to get it out.
I don't know if they know this.
They can just puree peanuts Aweird thought.
I don't know.
Anyway, so that's somethingelse.
I think that's really going totake a hold as well as school
lunches.
Now let's dive back and let's doa little history lesson for all
of you, going back to the Obamaera era.

(03:07):
Give or take whatever you thinkabout the obamas.
Michelle obama came in with allthe intentions of doing the
same thing.
Rfk did it, but she was doingit obviously in a different
position and she was trying toget the school lunches to change
.
She said we had enough.
Stop giving kids pizza.
It's not a vegetable.
Stop giving them fried chicken.

(03:27):
There's nothing healthy in acafeteria.
What is going on?
And the Pelican group came in,which owns 75% of all school
cafeteria lunches, said we servevegetables.
And they took it to court andthey won and proved that pizza
was a vegetable because there'stomatoes on it.
Oddly enough, I thoughttomatoes were fruits either way.

(03:48):
Don't really understand thelawsuit.
So then she had to change herobjective to play 60, which is
get kids out, get kids be activefor 60 minutes, and she pushed
away from the food.
So I really hope he comes in.
I really hope he opens up eyes.
It's just disgusting that westill serve our youth food that

(04:11):
is like no nutrition involved init whatsoever, like that's a
busy parent, myself included.
You don't have time to sitthere and make your kid lunch
every single day.
They're running at the doorSometimes you forget.
Just easy to build them acouple of bucks and say go get
school lunch and then then youknow they're eating.
Garbage is basically as good asgoing to mcdonald's every day
and yet the kids have to takehealth class and learn about

(04:33):
shitty information in school.
That's been disproven overyears, like I remember learning
with the food pyramid, which nowhas turned nose, turned into my
plate, which is so wrong still,it just utterly blows my mind
that schools aren't going tocatch up and I really hope that
he comes in and makes adifference in this realm for us.
That, along with some otherthings and a lot of people like

(04:56):
talking about his anti-vaxstandpoint.
But whatever you may take for it, just to be totally transparent
how I feel on this topic, vaccines in and of itself are a
good thing and I totally believethat.
But it is absolutely ridiculous, even now having a two-month
open, looking at the vaccineschedule, how many we give our
kids Don't call me on the exactnumber, it's like 45 shots they

(05:19):
end up getting.
By the time they're like 10.
Crazy.
We really have to open our eyes.
And if kobe didn't show usanything, not all vaccines are
safe, especially those that wemust give a population and then
aren't allowed to sue thecompanies if there's any side
effects, nor are they allowed toreport on it because they said

(05:42):
so and then you have to take itor you're shunned.
So I hope things really getopened up about that.
Obviously, I hope not all ofthem are taken away.
I do think we need certain ones.
For example, my grandfather isa survivor of polio and he
suffered with this entire life.
So things like that please goget.
Not against that whatsoever,but giving a zero-year-old,

(06:06):
one-year-old, two-year-old COVIDvaccine when none of them have
died from COVID probably not agood idea.
I hope he really opens up thepharmaceutical industry as well
as that, and speaking ofpharmaceutical industries and
the approach on that, if you'veever gone to a pharmacy recently
, it is absolutely insane thelines at pharmacies.

(06:27):
We are that addicted tomedication.
So I really hope that 2025brings a change, an awakening
away from the overuse ofmedications not medications as a
whole, I think they're usefulbut constantly prescribing to
people being on five, 10different medications.
We need to look at what'scausing those issues as opposed

(06:48):
to just giving people band-aidsfor them.
So that's my prediction Fromthat.
I think everything startingJanuary 20th is going to go up
in the air.
He's going to come out swinging.
I really think you're going tosee a lot of peoples in
Congress's two true colors as Ipush against him and tell him
not to.
You're going to see a lot oflobbying against him.
You're going to see a lot oflawsuits against him.
I just hope he can take it andpush through and really make

(07:12):
some changes, like getting ridof these harmful dyes out of our
food.
So we'll see.
Hopefully I'm right on that.
One.
Moving on Semi-glutide hasharmful side effects.
I have said this for the lastyear, in 2024, the use of
semiglutide or Zepic for usesoutside of diabetes, for those
that just want to take it forweight loss, has skyrocketed.

(07:33):
March, april, may they justkind of was doubled every single
month and everyone knowssomeone who went on semiglutide.
I really think that we're goingto see, in like late summer,
different studies coming outabout semiglutide, giving it to
people who do not have diabetes, and saying, wow, it really
screwed up their kidneys.
It's really screwed up theirmetabolism.

(07:54):
They've lost a lot of muscle aswell as they've lost a lot of
fat, meaning their musclemetabolic rate, or how many
calories a day they burn at rest, has dropped and that's not
good.
They're getting their weightback exactly like gastric bypass
surgery, which blows my mindhow we still do that.
But you're really destroyingsomebody's insides just to get
them to lose 50 60 pounds andyou're not addressing the

(08:15):
underlying issue, which is anaddiction to food and not
understanding of what to eat,and have people personally my
family who are along this side.
They just need education.
You need to educate people howto eat and be healthy and stop
telling people that there's thisquick fix out there that they
can go get, so it's okay, theycan eat like shit seven days a
week.

(08:35):
No, let's break it down.
I really think some of my gutaiis gonna have a lot of negative
side effects and eat, potentially even pulled off the
market by the end of this year.
We'll see, we'll see.
End of this year We'll see.
We'll see, we'll see, we'll see.
Moving on to some positive news,I think the carnivore diet is
going to be big.
You've brought in the keto andobviously there's a lot of

(08:56):
issues with the keto diet.
I really think this year a lotof people are going to start
waking up to eating meat.
There was a study back in the80s that showed red meat was
harmful for you and it tookyears off your life and naughty
you for eating all of that redmeat.
And then there was a lot offlaws in the study and doctors
still push, say don't eat redmeat.

(09:17):
It's really, really, really badfor you and it's going to raise
your cholesterol and do thisand do that and cause cancer and
you're going to grow six legs.
I didn't at that part, but Ithink there's going to be a lot
of more push towards eating moremeat.
But I'm going to get morespecific on this.
I personally believe, and I'mseeing it in grocery stores, so

(09:40):
I know the trend is coming.
Quote me on this Different meatoptions are going to skyrocket
in the next year.
By the end of this year you'regoing to see more stores selling
bison, elk and other game meatthat has not necessarily been in
stores have been overtaken bycow and pig.

(10:01):
Blow away the market.
People are understanding thatthey can eat red meat and eat
leaner meats, healthier meats, things that aren't farmed like
cows that are stuffed into a penall day and just fed hay, or
chickens that are crammed by therows of hundreds that can't
even move.
They're saying, hey, we needhealthier options, we need more
sustainable options, and that'sgoing to come with eating the

(10:23):
proper kinds of meats that don'thave all those harmful
chemicals.
Really think about this for asecond.
We go to push eat veggies, right, eat more veggies, eat
more veggies.
But yet the fields are gettingsprayed with harmful pesticides.
That how many lawsuits do yousee?
Have you been exposed to thispesticide?
Call this number.

(10:43):
And then we're going to eatthat and there's no control.
Then you're gonna say, anthony,I eat organic, the organic
farms are next to the unorganicfarms and there's something
called wind, and then that windblows the pesticides into the
organic farm also.
It goes into the soil andcontaminates the soil and then
the rainwater and it itbasically doesn't matter.

(11:06):
We have destroyed our watersupply in many parts of this
country using pesticides andplants that I personally think
eating too much plants isactually more of a bad thing
than eating meat.
Why is eating meat better?
Generally speaking, animalsthat get a variety of plants

(11:26):
meaning not really so muchchickens, pigs and cows because
they're so mass-produced in farm, but more of that game meat.
They get a variety.
They walk around.
They don't eat from the samefields, right, they're going to
eat trees down the road orwhatever.
They're not force-fed hay in alittle barrel that we know is
sprayed and processed becausethe farm is trying to get it
cheap and plentiful, and theymight be eating these pesticides

(11:49):
, but their bodies are breakingit down, right, so they're
breaking it down, and then we'regetting it secondhand, meaning
we're getting less pesticidesand less harmful effects from
animal products that we aredirectly, from the fruits or
vegetables themselves.
So, yes, fruits and vegetablesare good for you.
I also believe, though, thatanimals are actually way
healthier when it comes to thepesticide aspect of things

(12:12):
because you're getting way less.
Because they are eating itright.
They eat it, they gain it, theyprocess it for you, helping you
out.
It's like a win-win Plus.
The carnivore diet tighten itwith the push for protein
finally is finally coming tolight.
A lot of podcast speakers Iknow are really harping on
protein.
Huge component of that Eat moreprotein.

(12:33):
That was my New Year'sresolution.
I want everyone to say they'regoing to eat more protein
because you're definitely noteating enough.
You can do that inside thecarnivore diet, getting complete
proteins.
Please stop telling me thatplants are complete proteins.
There's like three of them andI doubt you're eating those
three.
So please stop.
Lentils are not completeproteins.

(12:55):
Irregardless, I really reallysee a trend of the carnivore
diet.
I think people are going to doit wrong, like they get keto.
Don't get me wrong.
They're going to be like if Ijust eat meat for a week, I'm
going to lose 25 pounds.
Like, no, that's not how thatworks.
Just eat healthier meats.
Eat leaner meats.
Eat meats more frequently.
Be cautious the way you'reeating with your fruits and
veggies.
If you can grow them, evenbetter right, because you can

(13:17):
control what goes on it.
But definitely a hugeprediction carnivore diet coming
in hot.
Can't wait to see what happens.
Screw that 1980 study that saidred meat was bad for you.
I'm still waiting to have aheart attack.
I guess I haven't yet.
Just kidding all.
Moving on to one of my lastthree predictions More money
into the health and fitnessworld.

(13:38):
This is my prediction.
Tell me I'm wrong, I don't care.
The economy has boomed sinceTrump won the presidential race.
When he hops into office, I seethe economy continuing moving.
You feel it out in theatmosphere.
People are getting more loosewith their wallets, so meaning
the stock market is starting togo up, consumers are going up,

(13:58):
demand is going up andeveryone's starting to realize
one thing we need to put moremoney into our health, because
it don't matter if you make abillion dollars and then you die
by your 40 because you don'ttake care of your health right.
Your health, your fitness, isone of the most, if not the most
, important thing you should beinvesting your money into,

(14:20):
because it is your brain health, right.
We have a huge mental healthcrisis in this country and we're
seeing a turn finally at.
The biggest cure to depressionis diet and exercise Wow, crazy.
And there's no negative sideeffects.
So if we really put focus ontothat just the mental side of
things, getting people out oftheir shells I still think we're

(14:41):
recovering from COVID in theaspect that people were so
scared throughout 2020.
And you're really starting tosee people slowly come out of
their shells.
We're not there fully as apopulation yet.
I think we're like 80% fullycome out of their shells.
We're not there fully as apopulation yet.
They're like 80% I'll ask 20%.
I really see coming out thisyear, understanding the need to
start working out.
They need to put more trust inthemselves and not the

(15:07):
government and that's reallygoing to throw a lot more money
into health and fitness.
And people are under therealization they need help and
they're reaching out to peoplelike me, other trainers in this
country, other different sourcesof activities, groups, whatever
the case may be.
They're saying you know what?
I don't know everything.
What I learned was definitelywrong, especially if you went to

(15:28):
school in like the 70s and 80s.
So it's time I really reach out, get help, learn something new.
A huge push, especially with, like the osteopenia,
osteoporosis group, those thatare saying, hey, I need to
increase my bone density.
Doctors are finally starting torecommend weightlifting.
We're seeing it a lot in ourgym right now.
They're saying, hey, maybe tryweightlifting before you hop

(15:50):
onto the medication, thank God.
So things like that aredefinitely coming in.
I see the health and fitnessfield booming over the next year
two years at least you're goingto see trend jump 15 20 of
consumer spending into thisfield.
So those are my top fourpredictions I have for 2025.

(16:12):
If you agree, let me know.
If you disagree, also, let meknow.
If you disagree, also, let meknow.
If you have something elseyou'd like me to talk about,
please let me know.
I'll have you to dive into atopic a little more Besides that
.
