Every time I launch an episode,a solo episode, I should say,
it's inspired by a topic thatI'm just passionate about in the
moment or perhaps something thatI've overcome and I have found

some ways to like overcome and Ishare with you all just the
concept or the principle andgive you the tips and tools and
how to, overcome whatever it is.
And I struggled for a littlebit, for this.
episode because I just did notfeel the hit of inspiration.
And that is why this podcast iscalled Heart to Talk because One

thing that I committed to, whenI started this podcast is that
every episode will literallycome from my heart or will come
from the heart of whoever Ibring on.
So the heart is the epicenter ofour souls, inspiration.
are the consciousness, it'sauthenticity, and it's where we

(02:00):
all can connect from just heartpower is extremely powerful.
And I believe just magic.
And, and so I like to reallyoperate from that place.
And so finally this morning,while I was on my run, it came
to me, the topic and it'shappiness.
Right.

(02:20):
We all want happiness.
There's a pursuit of happinessthat we're all on.
And in my own journey, and justespecially recently, I had
realized I just had allowedcircumstances to steal my joy,
steal happiness from me and inone particular area, and so if

(02:45):
you are listening and youcurrently are maybe struggling
with joy and happiness, or maybeyou have happiness in one area,
but not all areas.
It doesn't matter where you are,like on the happiness spectrum.
I do feel like this episode willgive you some value.
And so I will claim that I, Iwill say that I generally am a

(03:08):
totally happy person.
That's just the kind of like mypersonality is I put on the
smile, you know, but underneath,right, I might struggle with
some deep rooted beliefs orpressures or allow just the
outside world to pull the rugfrom the potential of happiness
that I.

(03:28):
Can have and live out.
Right.
And so I want to start with justdefining happiness.
So when you hear the wordhappiness, what does it mean to
you?
What does happiness mean?
Now, I believe that there is theinternal happiness and then we

(03:49):
have the external.
And I want to start with justinternal.
So like, for me, I would defineit as just peace.
Being in my power and havingjust full energy to just show up
every day, feeling positiveabout where I am and at peace

(04:09):
with my choices.
I feel happiness as being inalignment with like my values
and what's important to me.
And I noticed that when I don'tfeel happiness, The internal
piece, it's usually one of thosehave been compromised, right?
And for the external happinessis, Oh my gosh, like my kids,

(04:32):
number one, when they thrive,that makes my internal happiness
literally go to like the nextlevel that is like, number one,
seeing my kids.
You know, happy, externalhappiness.
When my business is doing good,when I have a breakthrough, when
these alignments are happening,that gives me just extreme

(04:53):
happiness and joy.
When I get to be invited tothese incredible experiences,
events, you know, opportunitiesthat brings me happiness.
When my work, the nine to five,which I have in addition to the
brand and business that I'mbuilding.
That I like to say funds whatI'm building, but also has been

(05:15):
a source of great opportunity inlessons being learned and giving
me really the tools to help mereally show up in my business in
life because I have theopportunity to practice
leadership, and just so manydifferent, things that really
has helped me in my business.

(05:36):
So I know I'm supposed to bethere for now.
But when all of those areas aredoing really well, that
definitely indicates the levelof happiness I have.
But what happens to all of usand myself, right, is when those
external happinesses, right,like love, like relationships,
the job, finances, or justanything outside of us isn't

(06:01):
going well, it definitely canpull us out of that happy state.
And so recently, I had had justa circumstance, where, Oh my
gosh, it was so draining and towhere it became my focus.
So what happens is when weallow.

(06:21):
The obstacle, the contrast inlife, because that's always, no
matter what is going to alwaysbe there, right?
When we allow that to dictate.
Our happiness.
That's when we get into troubleI love the way Deepak Chopra
stated this.
He says, be happy for no reason,like a child.

(06:41):
If you're happy for a reason,you're in trouble because that
reason can be taken from you.
And so I have to remember that.
And that's literally kind of howI got back into my power and
back in alignment with internalhappiness is where I'm not going
to be happy for a reason, butI'm going to be happy.
Because I know that I haveeverything I need.

(07:04):
I have peace and that I'm in mypower and those are most
important, right?
That I protect my energy.
And from that source, it doesn'tmatter what happens outside of
me because I know that myinternal happiness is protected,
grounded.
And, one thing I will tell youis happiness is a choice.

(07:28):
And so if you're waking up andyou're like not happy and you're
frustrated over and over, andit's okay, like we're human.
Sometimes you're going to getknocked out.
You got to honor that littlefeeling, but pull yourself back
and realize, wow, I am notchoosing happiness.
And not only that, but like,it's one thing to choose it.
But the second piece to that isfeeling actually deserving and

(07:53):
worthy of that happiness.
And so what happens is a lot ofus never get to feel fully
happy.
Like within, right?
We just fully rely on thatexternal happiness and things
outside of us to bring us joy,which can be taken away.
And it's a very competing energybecause if you are like, I want

(08:19):
to be happy, but you don'tbelieve you deserve happiness
and love.
You're never going to get it.
You're going to always attractlike toxic dynamic and
relationships because you'rebelieving that you don't get to
fully be happy in love.
Same thing with the job.
If you don't feel like youdeserve a job that pays you
really well and that you get tobe happy and you believe that

(08:41):
you have to suffer, you're goingto continuously get that.
But now it's really important torealize though, if you are
unhappy with a relationship, ajob, a situation, you don't
ignore what your intuition istelling you, because I do
believe you should, focus on thegood, turn things in your favor
as often as you can, because alot of times the way to finding

(09:04):
happiness is having a positivemindset, but in that same
Discomfort is also A message foryou when you're unhappy
somewhere, it's a sign.
So it's either a sign for you tochange your mindset around it or
change the situation.

(09:25):
And, it's up to you to realize,Oh, you know what?
I'm repeatedly not happy in thisjob and so this is my intuition
saying, I've got to pivot in mypower.
And what does that look like orin a relationship?
I don't believe that you shouldstay in something, just because
you feel stuck, because stuck issuch a low vibe.

(09:45):
energy and no one is ever stuck.
You choose to feel stuck.
You choose where you are.
But back to happiness.
Happiness is a choice and youwake up every day and you get to
decide.
I choose happiness in thisrelationship.

(10:07):
I choose happiness in my job andin my life.
And if you don't feel that way,I'm going to tell you the two
powerful things to do.
And the first one is invitegratitude, practice gratitude.
Now people say it all the time,but I'm going to give you some
ways to kind of think ofgratitude and a fun, different,

(10:28):
unique, approach to practicingit.
And this is what I do formyself.
So for example, I've had for mypersonal, kind of happiness
being compromised in my world,I've, been pulled back out of
happiness in some respectbecause I started to focus on
the things in this particulararea of my life.

(10:51):
that were draining.
And then I started to fixate onhow can I get myself out of
this?
I hate it.
I resented it.
And it really started to expand.
So like what you focus on willgrow, right?
Even if it's not what you want,but if you're really putting
your energy of like.
Your debt or the shittyrelationship or the job you hate
and you start fixating on thateven though it may be valid

(11:14):
Maybe it is a bad relationshipor a job.
That is not like where you needto be anymore But that is not
the solution on how to pivot andhow to find joy and how to get
to a new level Or place and sowhat I started to do was in this
specific area Was write fivethings that I am grateful for

(11:35):
for this specific area And eventhough at that moment, at the
beginning of when you start thispractice, you don't see it at
one point, the thing that you'reupset about, or that's in your
reality was something you onceprayed for.
And that's what I had torealize, like this one thing, at
one time was something that wasa source of joy and was

(11:58):
something I prayed for.
So coming back to that energyand being like, wow, these are
the amazing things that thisgives to me and I wrote it out
and it was so powerful.
And the second thing was,resentment I had for a
particular person that wrongedme but I'm like, I allowed
myself to get in the energy ofbecoming a victim of I see it.

(12:19):
I see that I've allowed myselfto feel, feel victimized and I
see this pain and you know,honor it, but pull yourself back
and elevate your energy and Whatwas the, the gratitude in there?
What did this one personactually do for me?
Once upon a time, that wasincredible.

(12:40):
And so I started to focus onthis person and really recount
with my heart.
Like, wow, I remember howgrateful at this, he did this or
this happened.
And, and wow, it just shiftedthat energy and healed.
And I was able to reclaim myhappiness that I have in these,
one area and in that.

(13:01):
And in healing and letting goand, because in order to really
get to like that next level ofyour joy, your happiness or
peace, it's so important to notbe trapped or victimized by,
anything from your past.
And gratitude is a powerful wayto pivot So when you can change

(13:22):
the way you think and feel abouta person or situation, you
immediately attract from thatperson or situation that new
energy.
And second thing is write down,before going to bed, what was
the best thing that happenedthat day?
And sometimes I set my, alarm,on my phone to go off at three
o'clock and I'm like, Oh,midday, best thing that
happened.
And then I will be like, okay,what happened so far?

(13:44):
That was amazing.
And it's incredible because itfocuses your mind on what's good
and you instantly vibrate higherand you instantly become happy.
And that's what gratitude does.
Just, it focuses on what isgood, what is available, what is
showing up for you versus whatis lacking.
And not being happy really isthe opposite.

(14:07):
When we're not happy is usuallywhen we're focused on what we're
lacking versus on what's workingout for us, what is good in our
lives.
And the next powerful practiceis affirmations.
We're constantly affirmingthings, every word, every
thought we are sayingaffirmations essentially, right?

(14:29):
But not all of them are positiveor empowering.
We as humans, I want to say 70,000 thoughts that come into our
mind throughout a day.
And so that's why it's reallypowerful to notice what are your
automatic thoughts and not onlywhat your thoughts are, but then
what are you like saying outloud?

(14:50):
every thought creates an emotionand every emotion creates an
outcome of some sort.
From that energy of the emotion.
We draw that into our reality,right?
So if I'm thinking, today isgoing to be like the worst day
ever.
I am so tired.
You get that emotion thatmatches that thought, and then

(15:11):
you get the outcome that matchesthat emotion.
I believe affirmations are themost powerful tool to shift any
situation, So with happiness,choose it.
And, I've got some powerfulaffirmations that you can use.
I choose to be happy no matterwhat.

(15:32):
I deserve happiness no matterwhat.
I will do what it takes tocultivate happiness.
I am responsible for myhappiness.
And it's so important to claimit.
Like literally, becausesometimes it's just not
automatic.
And that's how we operate.
life doesn't necessarily comefrom what you choose every day.

(15:53):
It comes from those automatichabits and thoughts and
responses that are at thesubconscious level.
And that's why affirmations areso powerful so if you currently
don't like, what you'reexperiencing every day, what
you're attracting, look at whatyou're thinking about.
Look at where you're focused.
Right.

(16:14):
And if you just start with thatand changing one area, you will
start to experience thingsdifferently.
Using positive affirmations isthe, I am, I will, they're the
declarative in the present tensestatements that will help you
just choose your thoughts,consciously choose them every

(16:37):
day so that you can literallyRewire your brain as a computer
and you can program What youwant in it.
And if you don't like yourcurrent program, again, invite
those positive affirmations.

I'm going to put in the link formy free everyday affirmations
ebook.
I have over 80 affirmations bycategory.
So like positive day, love,prosperity and in start there
and literally repeat them.
And first thing in the morning,just decide, I choose happiness.

(17:20):
I will think and speakpositivity.
I will focus on the good.
And you just tell yoursubconscious mind that that's
what you'll do.
So that'll be your automaticresponses.
And then you match.
what you're claiming, match thehabits that go with it, surround
yourself with anything andeverything that's going to

(17:41):
support what you're deciding youwant to claim in this reality
and today.
In addition to practicinggratitude and affirmations is
you want to take care of yourbasic needs.
Now it sounds just so basic, butfor me, like there was a point
too, during this whole cycle ofwhen I was becoming drained and

(18:04):
not feeling as happy in certainspaces, Areas of life and I'd
realized I wasn't taking care ofmy basic needs and for me that
was I wasn't drinking enoughwater And I wasn't taking my
iron supplement.
I have like I'm like extremelyanemic and Even like eating like
we're not robots, we are humans.
As you, set yourself up everyday towards the pursuit of, true

(18:28):
happiness is taking care of yourbasic needs.
And then the final is bring joyeverywhere.
Have fun everywhere.
All the time.
Have fun doing the mundane, likehouse chores, have fun paying
your bills.
Those are the things we gottado, must get done.
And a lot of times the energy ofbeing resentful for the bill or

(18:54):
having to clean your house, go,to the doctor's appointment, but
like turn the whole thing.
With around the energy of itwith gratitude, And your
positive affirmations.
Like, I am so grateful for themortgage I have in the rent
because this house provides forme the space to raise my family,

(19:17):
a space of belonging, shelter,safety, your car payments, like
this car gets me to all theplaces I need to get to and want
to get to, Happiness isn't adestination.
It's not anything that's outsideof us and it's not even a
constant state, but rather apractice and something we

(19:39):
cultivate.
It's a way of experiencing life.
It's found in small moments ofjoy and having a positive
mindset.
The connections we nurture andin the gratitude we cultivate.
Before you close your eyestonight.
Reflect on the best thing thathas happened today.
Focusing on the good not onlyenhances your happiness, but
also prepares you for a positivetomorrow.

(20:01):
And remember, each morning is anew opportunity.
So use those powerfulaffirmations to set the tone for
your day, to set up your goals,to manage your emotions and
elevate your energy.
Affirmations are more than justwords.
They are powerful declarationsthat shape your reality.
As Buddha wisely said, what youthink you become, what you feel

(20:24):
you attract, what you imagineyou create.
Make it a daily practice toaffirm your worth, your dreams,
your vision, your potential andcapacity for happiness.
