Theresa Cesare (00:06):
Hey guys.
Welcome to Heart to Talk thepodcast.
I am the host and creatorTheresa Cesare My intention for
this podcast is to deliver toyou wisdom, inspiration, and
consciousness.
Through solo episodes andconversations amongst insightful
people.
It is my greatest honor to bringto you talks that come from the.

(00:33):
While we are all so wrapped upin the presents we're giving to
the Gladden Hearts at Christmastime, we might pause to think of
the other side of giving thatmeans much more in every home.
The giving of ourselves, theChristmas present after all is
only a token of our feelings andmore important are the daily

(00:53):
contributions we each make tothe happiness of those near us.
House and Garden, December,1938.
Welcome to this special episodeof Heart to Talk this is my 99th
episode and with Christmas a fewdays away, I felt inspired to
explore the true magic of theseason.

(01:16):
As I've been preparing theholidays with my kids, I've just
been reflecting on.
This pressure and expectationthat continues to arise that
often just overshadows the joythat I feel like we're supposed
to feel in this season.
It's just so easy to get caughtup in the hustle of gift giving

(01:37):
for all the wrong reasons.
Instead, I wanted to reconnect.
With the holiday spirit from aplace of authenticity and peace.
And I've just been reminding mychildren of that and not trying
to sound cliche, like the realmeaning of Christmas, but like,
what is the real meaning?
What is it that we're deeplycraving and desiring as we put

(01:58):
up lights and put up the tree asearly as October?
You know, there's something thatwe're all wanting to really
cultivate, express and feel soas I had been searching just for
for my children and I, what itmeans to truly unwrap the magic
of Christmas, not just inDecember, but like every day.
So in this episode, I'm excitedto share how we can unwrap the

(02:22):
magic of Christmas throughoutthe entire year, regardless of
your faith or beliefs, there arelimitless lessons in Christmas
story that have.
Profound insights that I willshare, and we could learn from
the characters and theunderlying gifts they embody,
bringing this concept ofunwrapping the magic of
Christmas to life in a universalway.

(02:44):
I was really inspired when Iheard it pitched in a way that
I'm going to share with youthrough one of my favorite
authors, so Sarah Ban Brodick islike one of my favorite authors,
and she really just activatessuch inspiration anytime I
listen to her and has taught mehow to make everyday life a
prayer and to turn the mundaneinto magic.

(03:06):
I was listening to, One of herbooks, Simple Abundance, 365
days to a balanced and joyfullife.
And so each day has a quote andthen a powerful, message to keep
you inspired and motivated.
And of course a balanced andjoyful and so she dove into the
Christmas story and how.
There's true miracles and giftswithin the story.

(03:30):
And, I'm going to do this bysharing the characters in the
Christmas story and then thegift that they give, right?
So the first is the gift ofspirit, unconditional love, next
we have Mary, whose present tothe world was selflessness.
The surrender of ego and willneeded to bring down heaven to

(03:51):
earth.
Joseph, her fiance, gifted ustrust and faith, believing in a
divine plan amidst uncertaintyand chaos.
The child born that nightbrought forgiveness, wholeness,
second chances, and grace.
The angels delivered gifts oftidings of comfort, joy, and
peace while the shepherd boygave generosity, the innkeeper's

(04:15):
wife demonstrated the gifts ofcompassion and charity, and then
there were the three Kings fromthe East who followed the bright
star in search of a Royal birthalthough on their camels, they
carry treasures the gifts theyactually gave us was wonder,
acceptance, and courage.

(04:37):
I do believe it's.
The true essence of Christmas, when we think of in everyday
life, unconditional love isneeded.
Selflessness, trust and faith, forgiveness, wholeness, grace,
joy, comfort, peace, generosity,compassion, charity.

(04:59):
And of course, wonder, acceptance, and courage.
And those are within each andevery one of us.
We can embody those in oureveryday lives and inspire
others, and we could seek itand, and witness it in others.
And that's truly beautiful.
The magic in life that I believewe all try to capture in the

(05:22):
Christmas spirit as we put upOur beautiful lights and our
trees and wrap up these gifts aswe explore how to carry the
spirit of giving into oureveryday lives, let's remember
that the most impactful gift isthe giving of ourselves I'll
reveal seven meaningful ways wecan give priceless gifts.

The gift of your words speaklife, encouragement, positivity,
and love into the hearts ofthose all around you, everywhere

much to your loved ones.
The next is the gift of support.
Being there for someone.
Your presence can providestrength during the tough times,
the gift of silent prayers andblessings, send positive energy
and prayers and thoughts tothose who need it most.
And the gift of authenticity, betrue to yourself.

(06:51):
Your genuine self is a gift tothis world.
And last, the seventh gift isthe gift of Of experience,
create memories with loved ones, whether it's shared meal or an

And remember that the greatestgift we can offer is the gift of
ourselves.
