Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, it's Laura and
welcome to this week's Peak of
the Week.
You know we are going to get alittle real this week because
I'm feeling a little I don'tknow, I don't want to say feisty
, confident, just excited.
Coming off the heels of theShine Brighter release party and
(00:25):
just all the momentum behind it, and I just know the place I
was at two years ago was justabsolute misery, feeling so
awful like there was no escape.
My life was just, it was awfulLike I I can't it's hard to find
the words to describe otherthan disconnected, not present
(00:50):
just I couldn't see light out ofthe tunnel.
And so this is an email that'sliterally going out to about a
thousand people tomorrow and Ifigured you know what.
You're going to hear it, you'regoing to hear it.
You're going to hear it justlike I would say it to a friend.
Forgive me, but I'm going to bedirect with this one.
(01:12):
You wouldn't drive your car formonths with the gas light on,
wondering why it keepssputtering.
You wouldn't keep using a phonethat dies at 20% battery and
call it normal.
You wouldn't live in a housewhere the electricity only
worked some of the time.
So why do some people gothrough the motions and accept a
(01:34):
life that feels drained.
Here's what I see happening inmore places than I'd like to
admit Brilliant, capable peoplewho have convinced themselves
that Sunday night, sunday nightscary Sunday night dread is
normal, that working throughevery vacation is just part of
(01:54):
success, that feelingdisconnected from their own
family at dinner is the pricethat they have to pay for
achievement.
You know what that is.
That's not success, that's highfunctioning misalignment, and
it's only going to get worseunless something changes.
I share this because I was thisand here's what I know after
(02:19):
working with hundreds of highachievers.
There are two types of peoplein this world the ones who feel
that quiet ache of misalignmentand think this is just how life
is, and the ones who feel it andsay I refuse to accept this as
my normal.
The first group say stuck inpatterns that drain them, they
(02:41):
keep hoping things willmagically get better when the
kids are older, when work slowsdown and when life gets less
complicated.
The second group they make adecision that changes everything
.
They invest in themselves, nottheir business, not their resume
, not their networking events,themselves.
(03:03):
What actually happens when youinvest in yourself?
You stop checking email duringyour daughter's soccer game, not
because you have to, becauseyou genuinely want to be there,
fully present.
You wake up Monday morningwithout that heavy feeling in
your chest, because your workfinally feels aligned with who
(03:25):
you are.
You make decisions withoutsecond-gu, second guessing
yourself for weeks, becauseyou've learned to trust your
inner compass again.
You have energy left for thepeople and the things that
matter most, not just theleftover scraps after you've
given everything to everyoneelse.
This isn't wishful thinking.
(03:46):
This is what every singleperson who's done the work tells
me.
Jennifer discovered her corevalues and strengths through the
workshop and used them tocompletely pivot her career.
Thanks to Laura's support andguidance, I am now confidently
pursuing a career that resonateswith who I am and what I love
(04:08):
to do.
Doing a career that resonateswith who I am and what I love to
do.
Carrie stayed in her currentrole but made micro moves that
transformed everything.
I started showing updifferently, my confidence
deepened and I was equipped tohave a conversation with my
employer about how to adjust myrole slightly to better use my
skills and find alignment in mylife.
(04:29):
Slightly to better use myskills and find alignment in my
life.
And Paul he realized he couldstart his own business a decade
sooner than he thought possible.
I went from feeling totaldespair about my limited role to
being in the best positionprofessionally, personally and
with my family personally andwith my family.
So here's my question for youwhat would you do if you knew I
(05:00):
mean really, really knew thatinvesting time and energy in
getting aligned would give youback more time, more energy and
more joy than anything else youcould possibly do?
And yes, roll your eyes at me,because that's exactly what
happens.
The Pursue your Purpose workshopis taking place September 11th
and 12th, two half days thatwill walk you through my four
(05:22):
A's framework, the exact processthat's helped hundreds of
people stop accepting fine astheir standard and start
creating lives and careers thatfeel extraordinary from the
inside out.
This isn't about findingyourself through some mystical
journey.
This is a practical, groundedframework that creates real
(05:44):
results.
We're talking about clarity onwhat actually matters to you,
tools for making decisions thathonor your values, a roadmap for
creating success that energizesyou instead of depleting you.
And if you're thinking, laura,I don't have time for this, then
that's exactly why you need it.
(06:04):
The people who think they don'thave time to invest in
themselves are the ones burningout on vacation, missing their
kids' bedtime stories becausethey're stuck in another urgent
meeting and wondering whysuccess doesn't feel like they
thought it would.
Plus, everyone who registersgets my 21 Days to Shine
(06:25):
Brighter online courseabsolutely free.
Online course absolutely free.
That's another $297 value thatyou'll receive right after the
workshop to keep the momentumgoing.
It took me a long time to get tothis point.
I have been teaching this fortwo years and I didn't
(06:46):
necessarily believe in myselfwhen I started, but guess what?
Hundreds of case studies later,I believe.
I believe.
I believe in this workshop, andif this workshop doesn't call
to you and something else is, doit.
Invest in yourself.
Invest in yourself.
(07:07):
Don't keep waiting for theperfect time.
You can keep telling yourselfthat things will get better.
When life slows down, you cancontinue to accept that quiet
ache as just being part of it,or you can decide that you're
done with I'm good, I'm fine.
(07:29):
I know this because I'd be likeI'm good, I'm fine, I wasn't.
No, I wasn't.
I would love for you to join me.
There is a few more spots openin September the 11th and 12th,
nine to noon.
Well, we sometimes go to 1230and we're going to be in St
(07:50):
Louis Park.
It's going to be amazing.
Every person who's everinvested in this work whether
it's one-on-one coaching with me, the purpose workshop or really
anyone who undergoes personaldevelopment says the same thing
I wish I had done this sooner.
(08:12):
Don't let your future say thatabout you.
Today, and if you can't waituntil September, you can book a
one-on-one call with me.
I would love to help you.
It is my joy, it is my honor tohelp you.
(08:36):
It is my joy, it is my honorand I just applaud you for being
here.
Way to go.
