In 2008, a mother and her little girl rode an elevator to the 11th floor of a building in Yuanlin, Taiwan—left two red coats and their shoes—and stepped into a stairwell. They were never seen again. This is the cold case of Liu Huijun (劉惠君) and her daughter—often called the “Taiwanese Elisa Lam,” but stranger.
We reconstruct the final minutes inside the Yuanlin Finance/Economics Building (員林財經大樓): the elevator ride, the clothing left behind, and the turn into a camera-free stairwell that may have led to a B2 vehicle exit—and total erasure from CCTV. We break down viable theories (assisted departure vs. coercion vs. on-site fatality), why building design matters, and what records could still blow this case open.
