Charise Liggins-Walker is the Founder of SassyChicGeek – a platform that celebrates and advances women and girls who dare to have a voice (sassy); express themselves by their own rules (chic); and use their brainpower as their ultimate power (geek). Charise has over 20 years of experience working in corporations, nonprofits and government in areas of marketing, small business and economic development, and program management.
She began her career as a marketing professional for Nature magazine where she was responsible for managing marketing campaigns to drive subscriptions. She eventually transitioned into the public sector where she worked for organizations like PENCIL, NYC Small Business Services, Empire State Development Corporation, City of Greenbelt, City of Laurel, and the World Trade Center Institute in various program and project management roles.
She believes that people have to show up, first, as full human beings before going out into the world to achieve their goals and do amazing things.
