Day three of a 365-day consistency challenge brings reflections on dental practice, patient care, and pushing through exhaustion. Despite wanting to rest after performing unscheduled extractions for someone in excruciating pain, showing up consistently means embracing imperfections and staying committed to the original goal.

• Performed emergency extractions for a patient in severe pain who couldn't sleep
• Reflected on motivations for becoming a dentist—helping people must come first, not money
• Patients become your "patience" as you see them more often than some family members
• Created a "consistency soup recipe" for maintaining daily practice
• Committed to showing up authentically through imperfections and awkwardness
• No starting over rule keeps the 365-day challenge on track
• Enjoyed career-focused questions about dentistry during the live session

Do everything with love and passion or don't do it at all. Go to Twitter @DrShonW to share what's in your consistency soup.

you out.
So they, right now, theysomewhere sleep, and that's okay
, because that's why we becomedentists.
That's the number one reasonwhy we become dentists, and it
has to be.
It can't be because the money, because sometimes the money
ain't always how you think it is.

Talk about dentistry and teetha lot of times.
I don't because I don't want tooversaturate with that, because
all my patients be like not allmy patients, but when I meet
them they say dang, I hate thedentist, I hate the dentist.
