(00:31):
That's no small thing.
But here's the truth about HTMAfter a few years the shine can
wear off.
It can start to feel like HTMisn't good to you anymore.
But the deeper truth it's notthat HTM stopped being good to

(00:55):
you.
It's that somewhere along theline you stopped being good to
HTM.
See, in this industry and inlife you only get out what you
put in.
If you give HTM half-heartedeffort, don't expect more than a

(01:17):
half-hearted blessing.
That's the deal.
But here's the kicker deal.
But here's the kicker.
You can pour 20 strong yearsinto this field and still feel
like someone else who put inhalf the time, with half the
effort ending up ahead of you.

(01:38):
That's when the comparison trapshows up.
You look at someone else'sjourney and start asking why
them?
Why not me?
I've been there.
I was that younger tech askingwhy won't anybody give me a shot
?
Why does nobody have my back?

(02:02):
It took me decades to realizesomething powerful You've got to
have your own back.
You can't wait for HTM to handyou everything.
You bring your best, day afterday and you let the industry
return to you what you've trulyearned.

(02:24):
You let the industry return toyou what you've truly earned.
And let's be honest Sometimeswhat you think you deserve isn't
what you actually need.
So you can get that promotionand the so-called dream job, but
it might turn into the worstjob ever.
With more responsibility comesmore accountability.

(02:46):
Leadership isn't just abouttitles.
It's about people.
Do you pour into yourcolleagues?
Do you help them succeed?
Because if you don't, how canyou really say you're ready to
lead?
Leadership isn't telling peoplewhat to do.
It's nurturing careers.

(03:08):
It's not just pointing out whatthey're doing wrong.
It's showing them how to do itright, then cheering them on
when they succeed.
That's leadership.
See, you might want thatpromotion, the recognition, the

(03:30):
raise right now, but timingmatters, family matters,
capacity matters.
You might not be ready for whatyou think you're ready for.
You might not be ready for whatyou think you're ready for, and

(03:52):
sometimes the blessing is thatyou didn't get what you wanted
in that moment because life wasprotecting you from something
you couldn't yet handle.
So here's the real truth aboutHTM.
This industry isn't perfect, but it will give back to you
when you give your best to it.
Stop comparing your path tosomeone else's and start

(04:15):
doubling down on your own.
Remember what you go through, you grow through.
If you're feeling overlooked, underappreciated, are stuck,
don't give up.
Don't lose heart.
If you're feeling overlooked,underappreciated or stuck, don't
give up.
Don't lose heart.
Keep showing up with fulleffort, because HTM still needs

(04:37):
people like you.
And when you stay faithful tothe process, you'll discover
that HTM has been faithful toyou all along.
