Meet Ukeme Awakessien Jeter, Innovation Lawyer, Local Elected Official, and soon to be author of her 1st book about leadership development of immigrant talent. Born and raised in Nigeria, Ukeme immigrated to the USA to study engineering where her "immigrant experience" inspired her to pivot into law and become a public servant. In this episode, Michelle and Ukeme discuss the importance of representation for BIPOC youth, particularly girls, in public office and how diversity as a result immigration strengthens communities-at-large.
