where this week I wanted to do alittle something different,
because last week I had one ofthose pinch me moments can't
believe this happening.
Is this really a thing when Igot a chance to ask my coach and
mentor, james Wedmore, a fewquestions about creating digital
products and building onlinebusiness and not as any

questions.
I got to ask these questionsfor you.
So this is a brief but very,very poignant.
Is that the right word?
It's going to be right nowinterview that I think you will
enjoy.
It's for women around the world, especially if you're 40 plus
and you're ready to createsomething powerful, but you feel
stuck or scared or unseen whereto begin, and if you're younger

than 40, it totally applies toyou too.
It's just that our community,we seem to attract women 40,
women 50, 60, who are looking totake that next step, who may be
creating UGC and they'recreating incredible content, but
they're looking for somethingelse, and usually, certainly for
us, that next step, that nextprogression, was digital

products, and we've created amultiple, six-figure digital
product which we absolutely love, and we're really, really
passionate about taking you froman exceptional content creator
and you do UGC and you enjoy itand you thrive in that space.
But there sometimes comes thispoint where you're like, okay,
what's next?
How can I create another formof income, a passive income

income that I am passionateabout building communities and
generating income, that I get tobe surrounded and do what I do
every single day?
And the beauty that we loveabout it is UGC skills you as a
content creator with incrediblevideo marketing skills.
It helps you create contentthat converts.
It helps you become a magnetfor your content, and it's so

important to build a personalbrand in this space.
And what I love about thisinterview with James is I didn't
even ask him the question flatout, but he confirmed everything
I've known since 2015, when Istepped into the online space,
which is building a personalbrand and being powerful and
magnetic in who you are and whatyou stand for is going to be
what's going to make youattractive in this space, which

was really cool when he said it.
I kind of have one of those likedamn moments.
So this isn't a long interview,but I really think you should
take the time, have a listen,know that there is something out
there for you and if you arelooking to grow in this space
and you are looking to build adigital product.
It's something that Mia and Isupport our community with when
you're ready.
So what we'd like to do firstis get you set up, get you

absolutely crushing UGC, becausewhat we see with UGC is that
helps you create content thatconverts.
It helps you build yourconfidence on camera.
It helps you create contentthat continuously brings people
into your community, and whenyou start doing stuff like that
and becoming magnetic in thisspace, you'll find either brands
come to you for more paidcollabs or you go.

(03:49):
You know what?
I want something more, I wantsomething bigger, and that's
where this whole digital productpart of the puzzle unfolds.
And look, right now, james isan eight figure a year coach and
he has years of wisdom in thisspace.
So getting these insights isjust absolutely incredible, and
for me, it was a total pinch memoment.
And what we're doing right nowis, on the 29th of May, james is

hosting his live, freethree-day event.
It's called the Rise of theDigital CEO and, trust me, it's
something you do not want tomiss.
I've done this before.
I purchased Business by Design,which is his large, incredible.

I don't know what I'm going todo without this.

And the what if was far greaterto me than what if I join and I

For me, that wasn't the bigpull was what if I don't join?
And I'm still here in 12 monthstime?

And so I bit the bullet.
I joined.
I have never, ever regrettedjoining I've.
The community is insane.
Mia and I have learned so muchfrom this community, so much
from the Lego manual.
Now we're able to set up ourdigital product, so it's this
machine that churns over, andinstead of totally throwing the

baby out with the bathwater over, that very creepy saying
actually is, we've got to apoint now with our launches that
we understand what to tweak,when to tweak, looking at the
numbers, so that you know, Ispend a lot of time creating
digital products, where I createthem and I'd launch them and
they go really well, and thenI'd be like, oh, that didn't go,
maybe as well as I thought.
So I'm going to try somethingelse.

(05:35):
And if you're in our community,you know that there's some
spicy minds going on.
You know that we're a littleneuro spicy, a little just shiny
object syndrome.
What James does inside businessby design, inside this portal,
that is a, this Lego manual ofinstructions, is he gives you
the tweaks and shows you thesteps.

Well, this is very exciting.
Thank you so much for takingthe time.
You have no idea how excited Iam to speak to you.
A couple of questions that Iwanted to know about, certainly,
our community.
We have a community of womenkind of in their 40s plus,
certainly 30 plus.
They're mums, they're tired,they're overwhelmed and they
have this thought in their headthat they're too old to have a

(07:53):
digital product.
They're too old to start adigital product.
're too old to start a digitalproduct.
They don't sometimes know whereor how, but I know that there's
this overarching feeling thatthey just feel too old to start
a digital product and I'mwondering if you've got some
advice for them around that Idon't want to convince anybody
of anything.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
No, you're not old enough.
There's people older than youor there's people that are
getting started later than you.
Sure, we already know thatthere are.
Like, let's be honest, okay, Imean, a classic example is like
when did Louise Hay startwriting books and create Hay
House, like she was like in hermid sixties, okay, so there's

(08:29):
plenty of examples.
I think even the guy who'dcreated KFC was, you know,
kentucky Fried Chicken, right,the Colonel.
What you really have to do issay, by me telling this story,
this reason where I go, I wantto do this, but I feel like I'm
too old.
The train has left the station,what?

(08:50):
In what way does that storyserve me?
In what way does that storyserve me?
So we lie to ourselves all thetime.
In what way does that storymake me too old?
It's too late, there's notenough room for me.
How does that serve me?
It's not until you get honestwith yourself that real change

(09:11):
can begin, and I can kind offorce feed you the answer here a
little bit.
It's protecting you, it'skeeping you safe.
You don't want to feel failure,disappointment, you don't want
to waste time, you don't want tomake a mistake.
You don't want people to makefun of you.
What is she doing now?
I get that, but are you livingfor them or are you living for
you?
And the bottom line,no-transcript.

(09:42):
If I want to start a businesstoday, I'm going to go start a
business today.
I'm not going to have anyqualms about it.
Resistance, fears, concerns,because it's what I want to do.
So how much are you beingdriven by what's in your head
versus in your heart?
That's the real question.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
And I love that.
I think so often as women, andcertainly in our 40s, there's
just something that clicks, thatyou start to worry about what
everyone else's thinks.
So I really appreciate thatanswer and I think the other
thing that I know we get a lotof pushback from our audience
who, like I've said, they're intheir 40s, their 50s, their 60s
is this idea that a digitalproduct won't work.

(10:19):
For me, it's just not clicking.
What would you say to her?
What's she missing?

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Well, it can be any number of things, okay, so we're
going to just walk it backwards.
I'm going to share the threemain systems that every and I'm
assuming who I'm talking to is acoach, online expert, digital
product creator you need to havethese three things when we walk
back.
First is an offer.
So you're going to have anirresistible offer.
If you don't have somethingthat people want, like when you
talk about it, someone's like Ineed this and I want to give you

(10:47):
money.
Nothing else you do beyondthere will ever change a darn
thing.
Okay, you cannot sell whatpeople don't want.
I can't sell a $997 course onhow to tie your shoes.
It's never going to sell, right.
So some people have bad ideas,bad offers, right, so you got to
have the great offer first.
Number two, moving backwards,you got to have a great sales

(11:09):
system.
The sales system is what takesthe want and turns it into a
need.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, I do want to grow my YouTube following.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Yeah, I do want to lose weight.
Yeah, I do want to, and by theend of the webinar, the
challenge, the experience, thefunnel, whatever it is that we
teach it goes.
Now I need this.
This is the 80% of where peopleare messing it up.
Their messaging, their webinarand their sales system sucks.
It's bad, the content doesn'twork, it's not addressing the

(11:38):
objections, it's nothighlighting the value of the
offer and isn't compellingpeople to action.
Nothing you can do if you got abad webinar, sales system or
sales funnel.
And then the third one is reallywhat I'd say the fillet phase,
or the traffic phase, which is,let's say, you have a great
webinar, it converts to yourgreat offer, but you can't get

(11:59):
more than 20 people in thewebinar to save your life.
Well, that's going to be aproblem as well, right?
So if we don't get a system fordriving traffic, building an
audience, getting more leads,we're in big trouble too.
So all three of those systemsmust be dialed in.
So anybody who's struggling,chances are they're good at one

(12:21):
of those and they're bad at two.
That's how it usually unfolds.
Someone who's like crushing andmakes seven, eight figures.
They've nailed all three.
That's it Really good atbuilding the list, a really
great webinar sales system justgetting an example and an
irresistible offer.
The practice sells itself.
You've got to identify which ofthe one, two, maybe all three
that are underperforming for youand you've got to fix them.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Okay, that's good.
I feel a little bit called out,which I do love, because when
you talk about those threethings working, I know that we
have one, maybe two, workingreally well, but I don't think
they're all working exactlytogether.
So that was a nice little callout.
I suppose I found myselfnodding like okay, but I also

(13:02):
think that's very helpfulbecause a lot of our audience
wouldn't have all three and maynot even know where to start
with all three.
So that's something that wecertainly work with them to do
and something that I know thatBBD is such an incredible help
for us to dial those things in.
And that's where we've beenable to dial in our one, two and
three, if you will, and wherewe now can look at our numbers,

(13:22):
like you're always saying, andsee that those numbers aren't
maybe working in certain areasand how to dial them up and
change them.
So I think I think that'sreally helpful.
Thank you, so I suppose my finalquestion is there's a lot of
there could be hesitation aroundinvesting in personal
development, investing in morecourses, and a lot of our

(13:43):
community have invested incertain courses that they
haven't seen results for, and Iknow when I first went to invest
in BBD.
I'd invest in other courses thatwere incredibly helpful, that
have got me to where I've kindof started to get to, but BBD
was like that, just that anchorpoint that I knew would be the
part that would get me acrossthe line, and absolutely did.

(14:03):
I'm so thankful for everythinginside BBD and what is being
taught there.
But I suppose why is BBDdifferent from your point of
view?
I know why it's different frommy point of view.
I know I love sharing that withmy community and anybody
listening why it's changed mylife completely.
But from your point of view,why is it different?
And for anybody that's sittingon the fence thinking it won't

(14:24):
work for me?
I've tried everything before.
This is just another course.
How can you kind of share withthem what makes it different?

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I suppose you know, I think there's a couple of
things I want to say here.
It took me four and a halfyears before anything clicked
for me, and this is what Iwanted to do with my life more
than anything.
There's four and a half yearsof 10 to 12 hour days.
I got addicted to Adderall andbecame a workaholic.
I dropped down to like 142pounds.

(14:54):
I looked like a skeleton, I wasvery unhealthy and had an
unbalanced life, and I think themore it wasn't working, the
more I've just dug my heels in.
And here I am today and whatI've committed and dedicated my
life to is the obsession of likewhat what does it?
really take in this industry.

(15:14):
What is the difference?
That makes the difference, andit isn't just one thing, okay,
it's a series of things, andwhat I do see and I'm not trying
to knock anyone else's productsis they're missing one of those
things minimum.
Okay, it's a series of things,and what I do see and I'm not
trying to knock anyone else'sproducts is they're missing one
of those things minimum, okay.
And so business by design wasjust to bring the whole
enchilada.
So for some people, they've gotstrategy problem.

(15:36):
So we've we've mentioned thisbefore but if you don't have a
great audience generation ortraffic or lead generation
system, with a pair, with agreat sales system and a great
offer, nothing you're doing isgoing to ever work.
You got to have all three ofthose, so you got to have the
strategy, okay.
The next piece, of course, ispeople's work ability.

(15:57):
People work on the wrong things.
They spend too much time onthings that are not worth their
time and trying to do it allthemselves.
And so business by designdidn't just want to give a
strategy the three things I justshared but I also wanted people
to deliver the work or be moreworkable behind the scenes.

(16:18):
You know, like if I pop openthe hood to your business.
This is where outsourcingdelegation, knowing where your
time goes, is so important, soyou can get there faster without
getting burnt out.
Okay, that's a huge one.
And then the third thing isthere really is an energy
component to all of this.
The energy that you bring as apersonal brand and your content,
your webinars, all this iseverything People don't buy from

(16:43):
people that look like a deer inthe headlights, people that are
nervous and scared and full ofself-doubt.
So you can't just go throughthe motions and say I don't, I
don't get it.
I did what the person said inthe webinar.
People are like, literally,whether they're doing it
consciously or unconsciously,they're scanning you, and if
you're trying to convince themand you haven't even convinced
yourself, you don't think theydon't see that.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
So there's an energy component.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
There's a particular type of role or energy that we
need to be in to be successfulas a personal brand, and and
it's it's all of those.
So you need a great strategy,you need a great operating
system, and I'll just bracket itas like you need to great
operating system, and I'll justbracket it as like you need to
be magnetic.
You, you especially more today.

(17:29):
You need, you need to be in theperson that everyone wants to
learn from, and if that's not inplace, you're probably
repelling people uh, thank youso much for taking the time and
answering those questions.
