Ever found yourself drowning in online business courses that promise the world but leave you with more questions than answers? That's exactly where we were before discovering Business by Design.

As two neurodivergent mums who transformed our content creation skills into a six-figure business in under 12 months, we're pulling back the curtain on the program that made it possible. James Wedmore's Business by Design isn't just another digital course—it's a comprehensive system that actually delivers on its promises.

What makes BBD different? It truly is the "LEGO manual" for digital entrepreneurs that James describes. While many programs leave critical gaps in knowledge, BBD walks you through every single step needed to create, launch, and scale digital products. From messaging and customer psychology to funnel creation and launch strategies, nothing is left to chance. The best part? You purchase it once and have lifetime access, allowing you to implement at your own pace and revisit modules as your business evolves.

We particularly love how James balances practical business tactics with mindset work, blending "woo-woo" concepts like manifestation with data-driven marketing strategies. For entrepreneurs who sense there's more to success than just tactics, this approach is revolutionary. The BBD community surrounds you with fellow business owners committed to sustainable growth rather than quick wins, creating an environment where long-term success becomes inevitable.

Whether you're a UGC creator looking to develop your first digital product, or you already have a course that's not performing as expected, the principles inside BBD provide the roadmap you need. Even if you're not ready to invest, we strongly encourage participating in James's free three-day launch event—the value provided even in this free training will transform how you think about your online business.

Ready to turn your content creation skills into serious income? Follow us as we share more insights from our BBD journey, and discover why this program continues to be our north star for business growth.

introduction.
What's up, mia?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I nailed it again.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Just pre-record that part too'd think that I would,
but there's something about theenergy that comes out when you
just say it every single week.
It kind of gets you in the zone.
It's like putting a new coat ofarmor.
It's kind of like all right,yeah we're here we're ready I'm
ready to go, I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You know who else is ready.
What, who?
Who we're going to talk abouttoday?
He's ready, and I see where youdid it slip on in what are we
going to talk about today?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
He's ready.
I see where you did there.
Slip on in.
What are we talking about?
We are going to have aconversation today about one of
our favorite products that wehave purchased.
It's not a digital course, it'sa program, it's a lifestyle,
it's BBD, which is business bydesign, with our mentor, james
Wedmore.
Now, for those of you that arenew to the podcast, welcome.
What's up?

(02:12):
If you haven't heard aboutJames Wedmore, then I highly.
We will put some links into theshow notes so that you can go
and check out his podcast.
We want to have a discussionabout it because we are
affiliates of his and affiliatesof Business by Design, which is
his program, and it hasabsolutely changed our life,
changed my life.
I'm talking for myself, but nowMia and I are deep in how
incredible this program is andwhat an inspiration James and

(02:35):
his team are to certainly ouronline journey.
And we figured we'd just talkabout it today because if you're
curious about what he does, like we said, we're affiliates
for him.
He is about to launch hisprogram that he only opens once
a year that is called Businessby Design, and he does a
three-day launch.
All the links will be in thisshow notes and we'll probably

(02:55):
put them in here on our emailsfor the future.
So obviously, if you dopurchase through that, we are
affiliates.
So we like to make that veryclear, as you should if you are
an affiliate.
If you are an affiliate start.
If you are an affiliate foranybody, for anybody's programs,
and you've got a link of theirs, you do need to disclose that.
So if you didn't know that, then there's a little fun fact

(03:17):
for you.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Always disclose everything.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, but the reason that you know what's really
interesting about this, Isuppose, is before, when I first
purchased Business by Design, before I was an affiliate, I
still spoke about it with suchhigh regard because it is
something that the teachings, the learnings, the community is
next level.
It's absolutely incredible andwe are forever going back to it.

(03:42):
Going back to the teachingsinside.
It's something that youpurchase once and then you've
got it for life.
That's why we have a lifetimewith our community, because we
feel so strongly about you as anentrepreneur.
There are times when you dip in,you dip out.
Life gets busy, life getshectic and you kind of can't put
your thoughts to the learningsall the time, and so with
Business by Design, that'sbasically the same thing, as you

(04:04):
can dip out and dip in wheneveryou want.
So, yeah, we absolutely love it.
So we're going to talk to you alittle bit about what it is,
because we'll probably share itover the next coming times as
they lead into launching it, andwe highly, highly recommend
even if you don't have aninkling to purchase it, go to
the live stuff.
It is absolutely incredible.
You'll have your moments justbecause you went to the live

(04:25):
free event.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
His free content is so, so valuable.
Um, so, whether or not, yeah, you purchase his program or not,
that three days is.
You just open your eyes and youwill learn heaps on that three
days and that's free.
But since you introduced me toJames Kristen, I just couldn't

(04:48):
believe how knowledgeable thisguy was and how I could relate
to him, because he does a lot ofthe woo-woo stuff as well as
the business side.
But his advice and his programis just so straightforward.
It works every time we stick toit.
We keep going back and back andback.
Without BBD perhaps we wouldn'tbe where we are right now.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah, and it's one of those things that I suppose
it's why we love this podcast somuch and why Mia and I listen
to lots of different podcasts.
What you may find in yourjourney as well is you start to
listen to a podcast and all of asudden you are so involved in
that person's world and you, youget to understand the way they
think, the way they feel you.

(05:33):
It gets quite personal.
I suppose and I think that'swhat happened is originally when
I first um joined.
When did I join BBD in?
Maybe 2022, but I will recheckthat and do a little fact check
for the podcast.
But when I joined, I had heardabout him, I think through a
Facebook group, maybe.

(05:54):
No, it was another podcast.
Actually, it was JasmineStarr's podcast.
I heard about him and then AmyPorterfield was talking about
him as well and maybe I did AmyPorterfield in 2021 and James in
2022.
That might've been whathappened for my progression, but
I'll fact check it.
But I heard about him on theirpodcast and then I went
searching and then I startedlistening and I was in hook line

(06:14):
and sinker because, like yousaid me, it's that woo-woo meets
business and I'm someone that'sbeen like in the woo-woo closet
, that just kind of didn't feellike I could let the woo-woo out
, because I wholeheartedlybelieve that things happen for a
reason and manifestation.
I don't practice as much as I'dlike, but I am very intrigued at
its power over your mindset inbusiness and I was always

(06:37):
curious about how that affectedbusiness.
But until I heard James talkingabout it, I was a closet
woo-wooer and now I love how hewholeheartedly embraces the
power of that and how he bringsthat into his messaging and into
his course and so if we kind ofbacktrack a bit, it's not a
course.
So basically what he does is heis for digital entrepreneurs

(07:00):
and digital CEOs is his bigthing.
So that could be anybody thatis making a digital product or a
digital course and selling thatonline.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
So, kristen, can you explain to everyone sort of what
is BBD like, what's inside?

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Absolutely For me.
Well, so, first of all, bbdinside there, james calls it.
It's kind of like a Lego manualor a Lego, if you will, but I
like to say Lego manual which isbasically how to build an
online business that's going tosustain you for your future.
That's going to be scalable, step by step by step by step.

(07:36):
That's a manual and I didn'trealize that until I actually
got in there, that it really islike I've been into a few
courses that are fantastic butthere are steps missing, or, um,
it's not as in depth as youthink it would be, or whatever.
But when James says it's a legomanual of step by step by step,

(07:58):
it really is and it steps ateverything he's got.
I think he's been online for 15or 17 years.
He's made I think I heard theother day $12 million, like the
guy knows his stuff.
Yeah, oh yeah.
And you, oh yeah, sorry, a year.
And that's where, again, like Isaid before, getting in and

(08:19):
listening to somebody's podcastis what is the magic of this
stuff.
And you as a creator, if youare somebody that is looking to
grow your brand online andlooking to build your business.
Yes, there's lots of podcasts, but I think it's just one form
of medium that gets you intosomebody's subconscious, shows
them that you're the expert andbuilds trust like never before.

(08:42):
And so, basically, in BBD and Ijump all over the place because
I love it.
And it's just sharing it in away that you guys can understand
what it is.
But it basically, if you're adigital entrepreneur and you're
somebody that wants to create adigital course, a digital
product, this is the program foryou.

(09:03):
And it's and we say thatbecause we prepare our students
and we share with them ourknowledge and we kind of get you
started, get the ball rollingand go yeah, you can absolutely
do this.
But then we're not I don't wantto say embarrassed, we're not
kind of I don't know what thewording is but to say to you
okay, we can get you this far,but if you want to take it to

(09:24):
the fucking moon, then BBD isyour thing.
Like, get in there, getsurrounded by these
entrepreneurs that are makingincredible leaps and bounds, do
the work, get the process inplace.
They take his emails and youknow there's video work in there
, there's messaging work.
There's one section in therethat, um, you go through
messaging and your idealcustomer and, um, you know the

(09:48):
domino, belief and stuff likethat.
I, before I met mia, wentthrough that god knows how many
times.
Like, I'd like to see on theback end of bbd how many times
I've been through it and thenhow we've been through it.
Now we stop, we watch ittogether, we dissect everything,
we pull it apart because theresources are always there and
they're amazing.
And then when you listen to thepodcast, that compliment and we

(10:08):
all evolve as entrepreneurs.
So when you hear the evolutionof where his mind and his people
and his community are going andthen you compliment it with
what's inside business by design, it really does match up and it
just keeps you as anentrepreneur and as a digital
CEO.
I suppose, if nothing else, ithas helped me and helped us know
that what we're doing is theright thing.

(10:29):
We just got to keep going and Ithink that's been the most
powerful thing for us to do thatand to be surrounded by people
that are in it for the long haul.
This is not a quick win.
Do not think for a second.
This is a quick win, but if youdo the work and you know,
hopefully one day we'll be onJames' podcast, that's like our

(10:50):
dream, that's our manifestation.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
We're in the making.
It is in under 12 months.
You know going through whatJames teaches, implementing the
funnels and the webinars, andyou know taking that on.
So, yeah, and I think when Ilisten to James' podcast, I love
how he brings on like he's gota lot of proof that what he does
works right.
So it gets lots of peopleobviously lots of his students

(11:16):
on the web on the podcast, sorry, and they speak about their
journey and you can relate to it.
You're like, oh yes, theystarted exactly where I am.
I'm kind of midway throughtheir story and I can see.
I can see what they're doingnow and you sort of get to
really know his students andrelate to their process and
their journey.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
And what's cool me is a couple of times we've
listened to a few episodes andthen messaged each other and be
like like that's what we've done, like we've made six figures
under 12 months, like we'rethere now, Like we've made it
that far and for us, you know, certainly for me I can't speak
for Mia, but for me personallyand the journey I've had to get

(11:55):
here.
Sometimes I don't actuallybelieve that that is my story,
because I've been working sohard to get there and put all
these pieces together and do allthe courses and all of a sudden
, in under 12 months, mir and Iachieved that by going through
this together and maybe I neededthat compadre, maybe I needed
that somebody to help put allthese pieces together and make
this puzzle work, to go, ah, itdoes work and now we can see why

(12:19):
it works because we've beenthrough it and that's been the
coolest process to actually havegone through and done the work
and got the results.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah, and if you're thinking about creating a course
, maybe you're a UGC creator nowand you're thinking about that
next step.
Okay, I would like to sell adigital product or whatnot.
Or maybe you have a coursealready and it's just not moving
.
Perhaps the messaging is off oryou know there's lots of things
that can go wrong, but James'sprogram is something that you

(12:52):
will use in this online spacefor years and years and years.
You'll keep going back to it.
It doesn't matter what you sell.
Your system works and it getsyou to build a machine, so that
machine is always ticking foryou.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, and I think that's what's really powerful
about it.
And one thing that I've noticedis, even though we're members
of the community, I still goback and watch the free launch
every single year, one for myown resource.
And the other thing that'sincredible about it is, by being
an affiliate, we're also takenbehind the scenes of the
affiliate process.
Now we have an affiliatemembership community where you,

(13:26):
if you join us there's, you canearn 40% commission on as being
an affiliate for us.
So being able to go behind thescenes and he's so transparent
with what he will offer you toeducate you, that you know like
we hope we are for our students.
We will give you everything sothat you don't have to go
through all the hard stuff wedid.
You get to you know.
That's why we've got the fasttrack method to get into landing

(13:47):
your first brand deal andbecoming a UGC creator, cause we
want you to get money, likemake some money and get paid
fast, so that you can chill out, relax, enjoy the next part of
your journey.
And I think that's what'sreally cool is you get that
behind the scenes stuff.
And one thing that I havenoticed by turning up to these
live events every single year, and I will be there again this
year, for sure we might evenhold a little cheeky party.

(14:10):
It is in the US, so y'all gotto get up at like 4am here in
Australia, but I'm here for it.
I do do it at like 4am here inAustralia, but I'm here for it.
I do do it.
But what is interesting andwhat I see every single year and
I did a little bit, but Iprobably jumped in quicker than
some is there's some people thatwill come and say I bought BBD
last year or the year before andI haven't really got into it
yet, but I'm ready this year, and that is something that I

(14:33):
suppose there's a lot of quickwins when it comes to this space
and certainly with Masterisarights in the last kind of year
it kind of blew up this digitalmarketing space to make people
think this is so easy and it'sjust a quick win and bam, bam,
bam, we'll get going when.
What's nice about BBD in thecommunity and what certainly
we've built and what we'rebuilding, we hope, with our

(14:53):
community is the hard work paysoff.
It takes a bit more time butit's going to be worthwhile.
Because you want to be here forthe long-term.
You don't want to be here?
Well, that's not fair to say.
You might want to be here forthe quick win Yay, that's
amazing.
But if you want to be here forthe long-term, our community and
James's program is the perfectmatch made in heaven, because

(15:14):
you may not be ready for it justyet, but you're curious or you
may be ready for it, and thenyou get in there and you go, oh,
it's too much right now.
It's okay because you've got it.
It's never a waste and I thinkthat's what I've actually loved
to see is some and I think he'shad people come on to his
podcast before and tell thestories of they bought it and
then were like, oh, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
And then, all of a sudden, there's just a moment
where something clicks and yougo oh, now I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
And I know for us that was I think, when, probably
, I introduced you to James andwe kind of went through his
stuff.
For me it clicked that I waslike, oh shit, this works Okay.
And now every time we go tomake a decision or a pivot or
something, nine times out of tenwe'll turn back to one of his
lessons and be like, hang on,what was in that thing?
Like let's just go back, let'sjust double check, let's have a

(16:01):
look, and so that for me, yes,it's been a really incredible
journey and that's why I have nofear in sharing it with people,
because even if I wasn't anaffiliate, I'd be telling you
get your ass on a seat to thatlive, because it could
potentially change your life, asit has.
Mine.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
And now me is like it's incredible, yeah he's
definitely a thought leader andbbd can plug any business.
If you decide to pivot, ifyou've got a course now and you
get into his stuff and yourealize some things and it
pivots, it doesn't matter, youjust plug it into the new one
and it goes.
So yeah, highly, highly highlyrecommend BBD and James's

(16:43):
podcast too.
It's such a wealth of knowledgeand he's just got proof after
proof after proof that what hedoes works.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, absolutely, and so that's probably what we want
to touch on it today.
But we'll be bringing moreepisodes around this, certainly
as he leads into his launch.
And often as he leads into hislaunch, I kind of look at his
runway now and I'm like, oh,those episodes have started
again.
Oh, okay, now he's leading upto this.
So it also invigorates me and Iknow it does for me too because
we share like, oh, did you hearthis week's podcast?

(17:12):
It invigorates us to sharethese stories again.
So you're probably going tohear more about that in the
podcast and the socials andthings like that.
But if you are curious abouthim and his process, what BBD is
, then we're going to drop linkson our socials and in the
podcast.
So go grab those.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
But yeah, that's just a little introduction If you
haven't heard before thenwelcome to the party because it
is fun, you can get on the BBB,bbb, bbb train, bbb, bbb, bbb
train We've got a few memberswho have bought BBB last year
through his launch.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah, last year through his launch, um, yeah,
yeah, yeah, I think like wemight even do a little cheeky um
bbd kind of party, a bit of asession for anybody that's
curious and stuff like that, tokind of get the ball rolling and
if there's any questions andcurious and stuff like that, so
keep keep hanging around theplace, follow us on socials and
at hive hub collective and we'llshare all the good bits right
there.
This week's, would you rather,is a little business related one
, but I kind of like it becauseit got me thinking.
All right.

(18:11):
So, mia, would you rather wakeup one morning and you are a
multi-millionaire through yourbusiness, right?
Your business has made amulti-millionaire overnight, but
you have no idea how it gotthere and you don't have the
steps to continue it.
You just woke up and yourbusiness is fucking booming,
right?
Or would you rather know thereis a guarantee that your

(18:33):
business will make multi-milliondollars?
You don't know when, butthere's a guarantee it will.
Would you rather have that?
But you build the steps to getthere One day.
You're there and it just keepsgoing and going.
So would you rather either wakeup with that money but have no
idea how to continue it, how togrow it, how to do anything with
it?
Or would you rather know thatit's going to work, but you're
putting in the hard work to getit there and then one day it's

(18:55):
going to go?

Speaker 2 (18:56):
boom, yeah, and it stays there because I've gone
through all the steps to get itthere.
How, how long are these stepsgoing to take me to get there?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Don't know, but you're guaranteed it's going to
take me to get there.
You don't know, but you'reguaranteed it's going to work.
There is absolutely no fail, like no matter what it will work
.
Don't know when, but it's goingto work.
And so then when you get there, you know you can only continue
where the other option is likemultimillionaire could lose
everything or you could figureit out, but maybe not.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
See, I think this one would really depend on your age
, because if you're a bityounger and you've got the time
to do all the steps, you woulddo that.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
But you know, Okay well, 40-year-old Mia, next year
, on your 40th birthday, youwake up.
It's either that or it's theother one.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
I mean, if I spend the next 20 years doing all the
steps to get to a millionaire, you know you're going to be
pretty old before you get there, but then you could wake up with
a million dollars tomorrowmorning.
Don't know how it got there, but sure you'd be smart enough
to invest it and kind of make itgrow, or something.
You might not, though.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
You might not.
Yeah, no guarantees where ifyou've built it and you're
building it and then it justpops off, one day it might be
tomorrow that it pops off.
But you've done all this workand now you're like boom, I'm
just going to keep this bad boyrunning.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Well, that's what we're doing now, isn't it I?

Speaker 1 (20:12):
know.
And it's funny, because I waslike, oh, I want that one.
But I'm like, is that?
Because I'm in it now and Iknow what I've learned?
So I'm like, obviously I'mgoing to go with that one,
because if I can make bad boyover, because the other way is
like that, it's kind of likewinning a million dollars or

(20:32):
more, but then you've got no way, of no way of knowing how to
recreate, like you're basicallybrain wiped it's like when
people go viral and they don'tknow how to go viral again
because it just happened and solike, well, I can't replicate
that.
Yeah so what are you going tochoose?
What's it gonna be well?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
obviously at my age, and you know I've got some time
to play with I'll definitelytake all the steps, because then
you could actually replicate it.
And you know, keep going.
Um, yeah, would be nice to wakeup tomorrow with a million
bucks, though hey look, we mightmate.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Don't you worry about that.
Don't you worry about that, I'mgonna take the steps too, only
because, like there's part of methat's like I think it's that I
don't know the manifestinggenerator that determined
something.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
A little sucker in me , that's like I'm going to do
this, you've got to enjoy thejourney too, otherwise it sucks,
yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
So anyway, let us know in the comments what you
would do.
Love to hear about it.
Um other than that, also, yougot to follow along.
