If you’ve ever found yourself doubting your next move or second-guessing every decision, this episode will feel like a breath of relief.

So many creative women entrepreneurs are living in a constant tug-of-war between wanting to grow and fearing what might happen if they do.

But what if uncertainty wasn’t a red flag… what if it was an invitation to rise?

In this powerful conversation, Nikisha, opens up about what it really means to trust yourself in business when everything around you feels shaky. She talk about the hidden power inside moments of doubt and how those very moments are often proof that you’re expanding, not failing.

She shares the exact mindset and systems that helped her rebuild her confidence when things felt unclear because self-trust isn’t just a feeling, it’s a structure you can create.

We’ll unpack what it means to build that internal muscle through reflection, structure, and compassion and how to stop giving your confidence away to everyone else’s opinion.

This episode is your reminder that growth doesn’t always feel good but it always leads you somewhere greater.

Takeaways:

  • Uncertainty isn’t failure — it’s evolution.
  • Self-trust grows through evidence. Keep a record of your wins, lessons, and breakthroughs.
  • Systems create safety. Structure your workflow to support your creativity, not suffocate it.
  • Failure is data. Every setback is just another step toward mastery.

doing this all alone, you, myfriend, are in the right place.

(00:23):
Now let's dive in for steps totake back your time and see.
Simplify your workflow.
All right, Nikisha, take it away.
There are moments in life andbusiness where everything feels uncertain.
The client slows down, theplan shift, the confidence wavers,

(00:49):
and suddenly you start askingyourself, do I really know what I'm
doing?
If you've ever felt like this,my love, I want you to take a deep
breath with me.
Because uncertainty isn'tproof that you're feeling.
It's proof that you are growing.

(01:10):
Welcome to the Iconic CEOpodcast, where free spirits like
you fall in love with systems.
I am your host, Nikisha King, the disruptive system sales and systems
coach.
And this place is forcreatives and women entrepreneurs
who build something biggerthan themselves, AKA empires.

(01:32):
You're ready to stop secondguessing and start leading with belief,
with structure.
And so you are in the right place.
So today, what we're talkingabout on the Iconic CEO podcast is
something that every CEO, nomatter what gender you are, but especially
women, face at some point inher journey.

(01:54):
Trusting yourself wheneverything feels uncertain.
Because here's the truth.
We're not here to question whowe are, but we're here to discover
who we are.
And in that discovery, thereare seasons where your voice feels
quieted, your choices feelquestioned, and your power feels

(02:19):
distance.
You may have been conditionedto minimize yourself, to hand over
your confidence to others whoknew better than you.
But if they truly knew betterthan you, wouldn't you have been
the one who benefited fromtheir knowledge?
And the truth is, you'vealways had the answers within you.

(02:44):
You just needed the space, thestillness, and the courage to trust
them.
To trust you.
I remember a season in my journey.
Maybe you'll be able to relate.
When I trusted everyone except me.
I trusted the tech guys whobuilt my e commerce store that never
went public.

(03:05):
I trusted the partner orspouse that always told me, price
low.
I. I trusted the well meaningfriends who told me what my business
should look like.
I trusted the voices thatsaid, you need a niche down this
way.
You should discount yourprices to make more money.
You have to post like her toget a lot more followers.

(03:28):
And I'm going to be honest.
For a while, I listenedbecause deep down, I was scared of
feeling.
Yes, I was scared of feelinglike so many of us, scared of getting
it wrong.
Scared that if I trustedmyself and it didn't work, I would
hear I told you so.

(03:50):
Scared it would confirm thefear that maybe I wasn't cut out
to be a successful iconic CEO.
But what I learned, painfullybeautifully, is that failure isn't
the enemy.
Failure is my teacher, myphenomenal teacher.
Every misstep taught mesomething about who I was, what I

(04:12):
wanted, how I was meant to lead.
Every decision that didn'twork out was refining me, not rejecting
me.
And as a perfectionist, rejection always felt heavy.
When I began to listen to myintuition and.
And pair that with structure, that's when my business started to

(04:34):
shift in ways I didn't knowwas possible.
That's when I stopped reactingand started designing.
That's when I stopped askingwhat should I do?
And I started asking whatfeels aligned.
Because that's what an iconicCEO does.
She leads with both intentionand intuition.

(04:57):
She honors her flow and buildsher framework.
Now, what is the lesson here,my love?
So I want you.
And what I've learned throughall of this is self trust is a system.
It's an immaculate system.
It's built throughconsistency, through decision making,

(05:19):
and through following throughon what you said you'll do, even
when no one is watching you.
The more you honor your word, the more your word starts to carry
weight.
And that's how you rebuildbelief, not overnight, but through

(05:39):
practice.
Because trusting yourselfdoesn't mean you never doubt yourself
again.
Now, my love, it means youlearn to keep going even when doubt
shows up.
And that's the muscle we buildas women in business, the muscle
of belief.

(06:00):
When everything feelsuncertain, belief becomes your anchor.
It's not loud, it's not flashy.
It's quiet, steady and rooted.
It, my love, is called thequiet storm.
And that's the kind of powerthat sustains you when motivation
fades.

(06:21):
That's the power we all need.
So let's talk about the iconicmoves that you are going to take
down from today's podcast soyou can implement easily into your
life.
These three iconic moves willhelp you rebuild a trust in yourself
when everything around youfeels uncertain.
Number one, I want you to keepa proof of your power.

(06:43):
It's a list.
Every time you make a powermove, a decision that turns out well,
write it down or pull out yourphone and record it as a memo.
Then I want you to take thislist and I want you to read it every
morning and if you can, everynight, add it to your routine so

(07:04):
you can build that muscle of belief.
So when doubts start coming, you have these answers.
The evidence that you've donehard things before.
And you do them again andagain until they become easy.
Number two, give yourselfpermission to fail forward and fail
fast.

(07:25):
You don't need to get it rightto grow.
You need to move.
Every wrong decision simplyreveals a better one.
Think about it.
Every wrong one is an openingto a better one, a better action.
So instead of asking, what ifit doesn't work?
Ask what will I learn if itdoesn't work?

(07:49):
Oh, my God, that one was sucha hit for me.
And number three, buildsystems that support your confidence.
Yes, mindset matters, butsystems make it sustainable.
Because confidence fades whenchaos leads.
Create routines, structure, and workflows that make it easy to

(08:10):
follow through.
Systems are the bridge betweenyour belief and your results.
When you put structure behindyour intuition, your success stops
being random.
It becomes repeatable.
It becomes consistent.
So as you move through thisweek, I want you to remember this.

(08:32):
You, my friend, are not brokenin any way.
You are becoming.
You are not lost.
You are learning.
And you don't need anyone's permission.
Not your spouse, not your mom,not your dad, not your best friend,
not your siblings or anyone,to trust your own brilliance.

(08:56):
You were allowed to shine.
You are allowed to believe inyourself again.
You are allowed to play it big.
Because when you shrink, noone wins.
But when you rise, everyonerises with you.
Now, if this episode spoke toyou, I want to invite you to take

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
