What’s in the Sauce? Featuring Ingrid Knight-Cohee

On this episode, guest host Kia Williams has an encouraging conversation with Fitness Class Director, Ingrid Knight-Cohee, MSc. Ingrid details her unique fitness career journey and her 2022 IDEA World session, “Format Formulas," which is directed towards managers/programmers seeking that "special sauce" to bring people back to their services post shutdowns.  

Ingrid has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry and is a sought-after leader, presenter and consultant.  At the helm of Group Fitness for the largest provider of fitness in British Columbia, Canada, she is instrumental in creating innovative group exercise experiences, leading a team of 140 instructors who deliver fitness classes for 70,000 members across the 15 locations of Fitness World. 

Recognized by IDEA as Finalist for Fitness Leader of the Year in 2021, Ingrid leverages effective leadership, creativity and collaboration to build connected and committed teams. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia in 1995 and her Master’s degree in Exercise & Health Psychology from Emporia State University in 2001. Additional accreditations include certificates in Sustainable Business Strategy, Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace, and Health Coaching, broadening Ingrid’s capacity as an effective practitioner, thought leader, contributor and consultant.
