Falconry was something I had only heard of but never really looked into as far as a way of hunting game. Until meeting Britt Perry, I really didn't know it was a legit and very proficient way of hunting game. Britt's introduction into the sport is probably not what one would expect, but through seeing a post from a friend of a friend of a friend on social one day, she got interested in it and started looking into what it would take to get started. And that was all it took! 5 years later, she is a dedicated falconer and successfully capturing birds in the wild and guiding/training them to associate her with food rewards and in turn doing what all raptors do best. HUNT! This was a really fun episode to record, and I learned a lot about this side of the hunting world. So be sure to listen in as we discuss all things falconry from getting started to where she is today, and all the great conservation work Britt is currently doing as a biologist for the National Wild Turkey Federation over in Louisiana.
