Rising From The Ashes

From the time we were children, we were conditioned that our priesthood leaders were there to guide us & had authority over us. We were taught the value of our free agency and personal revelation, but only if it fit within the confines of the church & its priesthood leaders revelation & guidance  they received for us. This left us feeling disempowered, confused and disconnected from our own innate, inner knowing and personal power. Eventually the confusion and heartache was too much to bear. Our own intuitive guidance was not lining up with our priesthood leaders beliefs, doctrines & personal revelation about our personal life . Our priesthood leaders felt justified in their belief & actions in their authority & stewardship over us. Asking us to “align with the brethren & stop sharing messages from deceased loved ones” among several other things they disapproved of. This led to our faith crisis, then our faith expansion beyond The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We each went through the daunting yet liberating process of unraveling a lifelong belief system! 
When our own inner compass was saying one thing and the church leaders were saying another, which did we choose to follow? For us, the choice was finally clear!
