Etched in pour collective minds and souls, both tracks managed to traverse INXS’ recording career at starkly different times. Listen like Thieves, the last ever single released that was a full band songwriting compilation and Elegantly Wasted, recorded uniquely in Ireland at a time post a Michael & Andrew night out on the town with Bono from U2. Either way, both songs serve as a signpost of INXS’ incredible versatility in musicianship and songwriting.
