ワシントン州日米協会、Small Business Bitesの第87回は、「アメリカのスーパーマーケットの歴史」です。
先々週、キャンディの定義などについて加奈子さんと打ち合わせをしていた時に、定義が違うと陳列が大変だなんていう話が出ていました。その際、現在の様ないわゆるモダンな形式で、自分で商品を棚から持ってくる形というのはそんなに歴史が古くないということが加奈子さんからでて、そういえば西部劇などで見たお店は、今のような形ではなかったな、と。そこで、アメリカにおけるスーパーマーケットの歴史についてお話しすることは特に私たちのような移民にとって興味深いし、ビジネスオーナーさんにとって何かヒントになることがあるかもしれないと思い、本日はこのテーマでお話ししたいと思います。
