ワシントン州日米協会、Small Business Bitesの第93回は、「アメリカの中流階級の収入基準とシアトルで快適に暮らすための理想の給与」です。
3月21日にCNBCが紹介した調査によると、国勢調査の2023年データをもとにSmartAssetが分析したところ、アメリカ全州で“中流階級”の上限は10万ドル超え、つまり“6 figures（6桁）”が当たり前になってるんですね。
📍ワシントン州はどうなの？ワシントン州もやっぱり高めで、全体の中でも上位。生活コストの高さが背景にあるようです。

シアトルで「経済的に満足して暮らすには、年収169,000ドル以上必要」と紹介されました。これはもう、中流というより上位中流って感じですね。
💭うつ病との関係は？実はシアトル、うつ病率が高い街としても知られています。その背景には：
- 日照時間が短い
- 人間関係が冷たい（シアトル・フリーズ）
- 生活コストが高い
- キャリア競争のストレス（完璧でなければならない）
こういった要素が複雑に絡んでるみたいです。
