In today's episode, we talk about sound, vibration, healing, and sound baths Jordan Scott and Jilda Farias.

Bio: Jordan Scott, Director of the Estate of Health,

Jordan Scott is a Holistic Health Practitioner, specializing in the spiritual and energetic healing arts of Reiki, Shamanism and Vibrational Healing. She has been exploring sound as a modality of healing since her first yoga teacher training in 2012 using mantra, breath and toning to create specific effects in the body, mind and energy system. Her connection to shamanism furthered her discovery of sound and song as a powerful healing tool, and has been cultivating the power of her own voice for over a decade. She studied Holistic Resonance Healing in 2019 which expanded her understanding of the healing potential of conscious vibration. She offers public and private sound bathing sessions and integrates sound therapy into all of her treatments. She is also a Reflexologist and Holistic Health Counsellor. Jordan created Estate of Health, a holistic wellness center and yoga studio in 2019 with her mother, Heather Scott, where she has drawn together several gifted practitioners and teachers to facilitate healing and growth for the community. Connection to nature and the healing potential within all of us continues to guide her on her path of learning, sharing and loving!

Jilda Farias

Classically trained vocalist, Jilda Farias, has been a performer since birth, always putting on a show whenever and wherever encouraged. This innate interest led to many opportunities studying the performing arts throughout adolescence and early adulthood; from joining community theater groups performing musical theater classics and entertaining folks with her favourite songs in retirement communities to later on competing in music festivals and performing roles in operas in a range of different languages, her love of storytelling has only deepened with experience. Since graduating in 2012 from The Cleveland Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, her community involvement, specifically her time conducting community choirs and musical theater groups, has peaked interest in the health benefits of the vocal arts, from improving breath control, increasing vagal tone, and processing difficult emotions. It's her mission to share the amazing abilities of the human voice and help others claim their birthright to express themselves through song.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
