Speaker 1 (00:00):
What if, guys, you are your own biggest obstacle?
According to research from theUniversity of Scranton, 92% of
people don't achieve their goals.
So how can you be part of that8% who do?

(00:20):
Hi guys, my name is Fabio fromJourney to Success, and welcome.
Like many of you, I facenumerous, numerous setbacks, but
how many times have you feltdown or frustrated after failing
?
Today, we're going to breakthat cycle.
Okay, we're going to explorehow to become one of the

(00:45):
successful individuals whoconsistently and exceptionally
achieve their goals.
But before to go forward, asalways, please subscribe.
So I know this is the rightdirection to drive you, to lead
you, to guide you towards yourjourney to success.
And let's get started.

(01:12):
So, first of all, we havealready discussed this topic.
It is important to set specificgoals, while having a clear
vision of your overall projectand understanding what you want
to achieve in life is absolutelyessential.
It's even more crucial to breakyour projects down into

(01:33):
manageable, achievable pieces tohelp you succeed.
The clearer and morechallenging your goals are, the
more motivated you will be toachieve them.
Okay, you rarely hear aboutpeople who succeed with vague
goals.
So you have to be clear, allright, but let's talk about the

(01:58):
elephant in the room.
So how can you stop limitingyour belief?
Because, at the end of thestory, guys we're talking about
this you don't believe inyourself enough to achieve your
dreams.
I know it is hard to hear, Iknow that, but that's the truth.

(02:21):
Don't get me wrong, guys.
Yeah, it's not black and whitehere.
Of course, you believe enoughto think you can achieve
something, but you don't believeenough yourself to understand
how you can commit it.
Okay, even if it looks like wewalk on the line with this

(02:43):
concept, the truth is that thereis a huge difference there,
huge 100%.
So let's introduce the conceptof self-limiting belief and how
you can level up your personalgrowth and success.
First of all, what is limitingbelief?

(03:04):
First of all, what is limitingbelief?
A limiting belief is a mindsetor belief about yourself that
restricts your potential in someway.
Everyone experiences limitingbeliefs.
All right, but learning toidentify them can help you
prevent these beliefs fromholding you back.

(03:24):
Okay, in simple terms, limitingbeliefs are false assumptions
you make about yourself that canlead to various negative
outcomes.
For example, when you say I'mnot good enough, it can
translate.
Translate to I'm not goodenough to manage this project if

(03:48):
you are a project manager.
In a similar way, when youthink like I don't have enough
time, it might mean I don't haveenough time to invest in myself
.
Okay, let's be honest, wealways have time.
All right, guys, it's just amatter of knowing how to

(04:08):
prioritize this time and whereto focus our energy.
Anyway, that's a discussion foranother episode, so I don't want
to go too much out the topic.
So, anyway, what are the causesof limiting beliefs?
Well, it can be a lot of things, like fear, imposter syndrome,
past experiences, anxiety, if wetalk about a more deep social

(04:30):
aspect, and so on.
But generally, it's when yourbrain's desire just wants to
protect you from some futurepain.
That's it.
Why that, anyway.
What is the reason?
Because we like to becomfortable.
That's it.
Why that anyway?
What is the reason?
Because we like to becomfortable.
That's it.
Our brain likes to becomfortable and at the same time

(04:51):
, it wants to protect you fromfuture pain.
But let's be honest, the truthis that we like our comfort zone
.
We navigate well inside thiscomfort zone.
Don't get me wrong.
In a certain sense, I like tobe comfortable as well, at an
extra level.

(05:11):
But to be comfortable like Iwish to be.
First, I need to work for it.
Okay, I need to achieve mygoals.
And to achieve my goals, I needto think that I'm better than
what my self-consciousnesssometimes is trying to whisper
in my ear.

(05:32):
So how can you overcome limitingbeliefs?
First, it is important torecognize that limiting beliefs
don't always present themselvesstrongly, and often people are
too afraid to voice them, sothey are more like whispers,
similar to the sound of a snakeguys, so creeping into your

(05:53):
thoughts and poisoning yourmindset, and when they strike,
you may feel like a small rabbit, and then you become hesitant
to pursue your goals or becomewho you truly want to be.
So how do you combat thesebeliefs?
Well, first of all, theyapproach you in silence.

(06:18):
But since they approach you insilence, then it means you can
respond to them in silence.
Okay, so start by taking anotebook and writing down your
fears.
So we're talking about thoughtsthat cause you to doubt your
ability to achieve your dreamsand purpose.

(06:38):
Okay, once you wrote down thesefears, it's time to confront
them more bravely.
But how?
Stand in front of a mirror andverbalize the opposite of what
you have written.
For example, if you wrote I'mnot good enough to manage this

(06:59):
project.
Say out loud in front of themirror I'm great and can become
the best project manager in mycompany.
It is normal to feel like youare lying when you say this.
Yeah, I know that, but thatfeeling is just another form of
a limiting belief.
Let's be honest when youexpress negative thoughts about

(07:22):
yourself, it often doesn't feellike a lie because you have
convinced yourself so much thatthis negative reality is true
that at the end, you end up tobelieve it.
You know, however, thesebeliefs are simply the
repetitive thoughts you toldyourself, which eventually lead

(07:46):
you to accept them as a fact, but remember, they're not true,
they're just lies.
Lead you to accept them as afact, but remember, they're not
the truth, they're just lies.
It's just what you consistentlyput on your brain.
Okay, and then you start tobelieve whatever you hear from
them is the truth.

(08:09):
Next, analyze the limitingbeliefs that stay in your mind.
So what are they?
Perhaps something happened inyour past that you haven't fully
overcome and this experienceshaped the form of self-belief.
It could also originate from agenetic or physical impediment

(08:30):
that makes you think you cannotbecome who you want to be.
Anyway, by dissecting thesephrases word by word, you can
begin to find a solution, like adetective, you know, trying to
solve a case.
And lastly, let's talk aboutthe don't give up concept,
because you're not alone, guys.
Everyone has limiting beliefsabout something, even your

(08:54):
favorite YouTuber.
So about the give up concept, Iwould like to make an example,
a personal example.
When I was younger, I often feltthat I wasn't good enough.
It's common in school, you know, to see others excelling and to

(09:16):
feel like you're not good likethem.
At the time, I truly believed Iwas just different.
I faced so many failures andstruggles to achieve my goals,
so many, but at the end Ieventually realized that I
needed to be persistent andstudy harder.

(09:38):
That's it.
I had a knowledge gap.
I knew that I had a knowledgegap.
I knew that.
I acknowledged that.
I acknowledged that I had aknowledge gap, but that's
something everyone can overcome,you know.
So I didn't give up and,especially as I grew older, I

(10:01):
also understood that my successwas connected to my passions and
what I wanted to do in life.
You know, there are people whocan certainly achieve a kind of
everything their life, even ifthey don't like it, you know.
But there are people like me,like you, who achieve only if

(10:29):
you're really passionate.
You start to achieve importantthings only if you are really
passionate about that thing.
That was my case.
This is my case.
So I discovered what I likedand what I didn't, and I learned
what actions I needed to taketo reach my goals, and sometimes

(10:55):
I needed to reach my goals withthings where I didn't always
enjoy you know.
So when you learn, anyway, whatlies behind the scenes of your
thoughts, you'll find thatlimiting beliefs can become just
distant memories at the end ofthe story.

(11:17):
All right, guys, so let's recapeverything we have covered today
.
The truth is, you could be yourown biggest obstacle.
You probably felt frustrated, discouraged or even doubted
yourself many times, and that'scompletely normal.
So, according to research bythe University of Scranton, 92%

(11:40):
of people don't achieve theirgoals.
But here's the thing you can bepart of the 8%.
It's all about breaking thecycle and understanding what
holds you back, especially whenit's your own limiting beliefs.
We also talk about theimportance of setting specific

(12:02):
and small, realistic goalsinstead of aiming for the
impossible.
Yes, having the big vision isimportant.
It's always important, you know, to look at your big mountain,
but breaking down intomanageable steps is what keeps

(12:23):
the motivation hike and the pathclearer.
It's not about vague dreams.
It's about actionable goalsthat bring us closer to success.
Then we delve into limitingbeliefs, those voices in your
head telling you that you arenot good enough or that you

(12:45):
don't have enough time.
But that's just the part of usthat fear stepping out of our
comfort zone.
Okay, so here's the thing.
Those beliefs are falseaccusations.
We've learned to learnourselves, and they don't have
the power to stop you unless youlet them.

(13:05):
We also explore how to fightback against these limiting
beliefs.
First, you have to identifythem, write them down, face them
, then challenge them.
So stand in front of the mirrorand say the opposite of what
you believe is true.
It may feel uncomfortable inthe beginning, yes, but that's

(13:27):
exactly how you're going tostart to break in free.
You know, like I said, thenegative thoughts you have been
feeding yourself aren't true.
They're just beliefs youconvince yourself are real.
Now I would love to hear fromyou what is the biggest limiting

(13:49):
belief you have had overcome.
Share it in the comments orsend me a message, and let's
keep this conversation going.
So if you found this episodehelpful, please share it with
someone who needs to hear thismessage.
Your support means a lot for meand I would love for this
podcast to be part of yourjourney to success.

(14:12):
Remember, success is a journey, not a destination, and it is
all about breaking free fromthose limiting beliefs at the
end of the story.
Keep pushing, keep growing andI'll see you in the next episode
.
Cheers.
