Speaker 1 (00:05):
hello, my friend, and
welcome back to the podcast.
So this is our last podcast of2024 and I sat down, hit record
and just looked at the time andthe the time is 111.
I absolutely love that so much.
(00:30):
I can't get over that.
So today we're really going towrap things up.
I want to talk about thispodcast title New Year, same Me.
It's actually been a conceptthat I have held the past two
years.
(00:50):
You could go back into thearchives of my YouTube channel
and find a video, I think acouple years ago, titled Same
Thing New Year, same Me.
And this is the conversationthat I love having around our
traditional calendar, new Year.
Even though I personallywelcome in the New Year, that I
(01:14):
feel fits more of the seasonswhen we welcome in the New Year
towards the spring and Ariesseason, towards the spring and
Aries season.
But for the purpose of thetraditional new year and having
this conversation, I'm going topost this podcast for the end of
December, to ring in 2025.
(01:38):
So new year, same me.
What is this concept?
It was something that I thoughtof.
We always think, obviously, newYear knew me and we think of
all of the things that we needto change about ourselves.
Traditionally, the New Year is atime to set New Year's
(01:59):
intentions and set goals, andit's kind of this reset time of
letting go of where I've been inthe past and what worked in the
last year.
What didn't work and how do Iwant to change.
What do I want to change in thenew year?
And this concept of biting offmore than you can chew.
(02:26):
Honestly, one of the biggestissues that I have with New
Year's resolutions and I'm surethat you can relate to this is
setting them, maybe sticking tothem for a week, a month, maybe
two months, and then falling offright, like going to the gym,
(02:46):
eating healthy, creating thisreally structured routine in
your day to get more done, showing up differently in your
parenting or your business oryour relationships, and there's
so much at this point.
Hopefully you have heardsomewhere along the line all of
(03:07):
the research on how to set agoal and create and form a habit
, and there's so much sciencebehind why this doesn't work
Setting multiple goals at a time, having all of these New Year's
resolutions we typically don'tjust set one, we set a bunch and
(03:28):
we try to literally turn ourentire lives 180 degrees and
then, when we're not able toquote, stay consistent or keep
up with it.
We shame and judge and guiltourselves and send so much
hatred towards ourselves, askingor thinking something's wrong
(03:49):
with us or thinking that we'rejust not able to stay consistent
, that we're not motivatedenough, and there really is this
whole downward spiral.
So many examples like losingweight A lot of times in the new
year right, that's one of ourgoals and losing you know, maybe
(04:11):
we lose the 10 pounds, but thenwithin the subsequent months we
end up gaining back 20 poundsbecause we're not really
focusing on sustainable growth.
And so here's the concept thatI really want to chat about with
New Year's Same Me is openingourselves up to the question of
(04:38):
who am I really?
Maybe it's not changing all ofthese things about myself.
Maybe it's letting go of allthese layers of myself that
aren't even really me, thataren't authentic, that don't
feel aligned.
Maybe it's letting go of thesebarriers and these boundaries
(05:02):
and this armor that we've put onto protect ourselves from parts
of ourselves, to protect theseparts of ourselves that at one
point in our lives maybe someoneshamed and guilted us for or
judged us for being too funny, being too loud, being too quirky
, being too weird, being tootall, being too short?
(05:24):
I don't know.
It's the shadow parts of us,right?
The parts of us that we hide inin the shadows because we feel
that they're not worthy enough, that we won't be accepted if we
show this part of ourselves.
That makes us not enough.
So that's my invitation thisNew Year's is to look at the
(05:54):
question of who am I?
Who am I?
One of the reasons that I usehuman design as a tool and I
talk so much about human designis because it's this blueprint,
it's this cheat sheet of ourunique design, and it's not
(06:17):
telling us these things to putus in a box.
It's not telling us thesethings to label us.
It's honestly.
It's this invitation to betruly seen, to be authentically
seen, to be witnessed, to beacknowledged.
If you are someone that'ssetting New Year's intentions,
(06:40):
new Year's goals, I'm not sayingdon't do that.
I think that it's really greatto set goals and set intentions,
but the thing that we never, orwe seldom, ask ourselves is why
, why am I setting thisintention?
What is the reasoning behindthis goal of working out more,
(07:02):
or this goal of increasing mysales by 10% each month, of
eating healthier?
Whatever your goal is, why, why, what is the reason behind that
?
And one of the things that wecan do when we look at human
design from a businessperspective.
We look at human design from abusiness perspective.
(07:23):
Look at our unique design inbusiness or in a life
perspective or a relationshipperspective.
You know me, I focus mostly onthe business, but our life is a
reflection of our business andour business is a reflection of
our life and relationships.
But what we can do is look atthese pieces of ourselves that
(07:46):
are going to maybe point us inthe right direction, of
answering that question why?
Or answering the question ofhow we can tweak our goal a
little bit, a little bit, tobetter support ourselves, better
support our alignment, becausewhen we are aligned, we are
(08:11):
sustainable.
One of the reasons that we can'tstick with our New Year's
resolutions is because, honestly, they're out of alignment with
our unique design, how we werecreated.
I'm sorry to be the one toshare this with you if you
(08:33):
haven't already figured it out,but you are not created to work
out at the gym doing reallyheavy workouts or HIIT training
every single day, 30 days out ofthe month, seven days out of
the week, 24-7.
You're not.
That's where we pull in cyclealignment.
(08:55):
Our energy as women and this isspeaking to women our energy is
cyclical.
We don't have the same capacityevery single day and that is
our fucking superpower.
You might think that it's adrawback, but it's actually your
(09:16):
superpower.
That's what makes women sopowerful.
But you're not created to workout at the gym seven days a week
.
You're not created to performthe exact same way in your
business every single day.
You have different powers ineach of the four phases of your
(09:39):
cycle.
You have different powersdepending on your energy type in
human design, depending on whatdefined centers you have in
your human design body graphchart, depending on where your
environment is.
Putting yourselves in differentenvironments evokes different
energy, can allow for morecreative energy to flow, can
(10:03):
allow for more driven andmotivated energy to flow.
So, instead of looking at thisnew year, I don't.
(10:35):
I like structure, I likedetails, I like having
consistency in my life and, because I'm a pretty, I also
have a defined ego center.
I have a defined G center.
So finding motivation for me isnot super difficult, especially
(10:58):
when I'm doing things that arealigned.
But when I was setting these NewYear's goals and intentions a
few years ago probably aboutfour or five years ago now, I
would be so overwhelmed and sofrustrated with myself when I
couldn't stick with them andthere's that word frustrated as
(11:19):
a manifesting generator.
That's our, not self theme isfrustration.
I would get so frustrated withmyself and I would shame myself
and judge myself for not beingable to stick with these and
judge myself for not being ableto stick with these.
What I didn't realize at thetime were unrealistic and super
(11:42):
misaligned goals.
So the problem is not thatwe're setting goals and
unmotivated to stick with themor unable to stick with them.
The problem is that we aresetting misaligned goals.
And how do we set aligned goals?
(12:04):
Very simply, very, very simply.
If you don't want to even startwith human design cycle
alignment, you can just askyourself the question why, why
is this my goal?
Also, where did this goal comefrom is a great starting point.
If you can't really answer thequestion why?
Or you feel like you're notreally getting anywhere.
Oftentimes we have goals thatare cultivated from others.
(12:28):
Maybe we have this goal to callin a certain amount of clients
each month because one of ourbusiness mentors or someone that
we really look up to saysthat's what they call in each
month.
Maybe that works for them, maybe that's how their energy
flows, maybe it's not how yourenergy flows.
(12:49):
Right, I mean, maybe they arecharging I don't know a grand
per new client, and so they needto call in five new clients a
month to make their goal of 5000.
Well, maybe you charge 2500 perclient, so?
(13:19):
But you need to figure that outyourself.
Where are you getting yourgoals from?
Where are you getting the ideaof your goal from?
We set these goals blindlybecause someone, somewhere, told
us this is what you set to besuccessful.
There's another question foryou what does success mean to me
(13:42):
?
Not, what does success mean tome?
Not only that, what does itlook like to me?
And, more importantly, especially for my non-specific
manifestors, what does successfeel like to me?
What does success feel like inmy body?
(14:02):
Also, my projectors.
Success is your self theme as aprojector.
What does that feel like in mybody?
Actually, I'm sorry, success isthe.
Now I'm misspeaking, now I'mgetting too excited.
(14:23):
Success is the theme for um,wait, what are we even doing?
Yeah, success is a theme forprojector.
Sometimes I second guess myselfwhen I start overthinking
things.
What does success feel like tome.
(14:43):
What does it look like?
We can, we can dive into if youwant to, if you want a place to
jump off of in human design.
We can dive into our selfthemes.
I call them how we know thatwe're living in alignment or how
we know that our goal is inalignment.
Our New Year's resolution is inalignment.
(15:04):
You can look at your self theme, which would be satisfaction for
generators, manifestinggenerators, success, peace for
manifestors.
What does peace feel like in mybody?
What does peace look like?
What is being at peace?
What is my business?
Being at peace, feel and looklike as a manifester.
(15:26):
What does satisfaction feellike in my body?
What does it feel like to cometo the end of the day, climb
into bed and feel satisfied, feel satisfied in my business,
feel satisfied in myrelationship, in my life.
What sensations come up in mybody when I feel satisfied?
(15:50):
What sensations come up?
Sensations come up, whatemotions come up when I feel
satisfied, or at peace, orsuccessful.
(16:22):
What if there's not one thing tochange about you, to morph
yourself into this new versionof yourself?
Are there up levels?
Absolutely.
Are there alignments?
Absolutely.
But there's not a new you.
It's removing all of the piecesof you that were hiding the
real you, that were hiding thealigned you.
It's removing these pieces ofarmor that have been shadowing
(16:49):
these parts of you.
So that's your invitation forthis new year, for 2025, when
we're stepping into AquariusPluto's in Aquarius right, we're
really stepping into thisAquarian season for the next
(17:09):
however many years.
What is it?
20 years or so, 18 years?
I think we're stepping into anew era of alignment, of
authenticity, of reallyrediscovering ourselves,
rediscovering what makes usspecial, what makes us unique
(17:31):
and welcoming, and celebratingthose gifts that we have,
celebrating our differences,celebrating our vulnerabilities.
Let's step into ourauthenticity.
Let's step into our originalversion of ourselves, the one
(17:51):
without all of the masks, all ofthe armor, all of the
distractions, all of thepressure, all of the armor, all
of the distractions, all of thepressure, all of the people
pleasing it's time to let allthat shit go.
It's time to let it go.
So, if you are listening to thisand you are ready to do the new
(18:14):
year differently, if you'relistening to this in real time,

title Very original.

(18:35):
doing somatic breathwork.
One thing that I talk a lotabout on this podcast is somatic
breathwork.
It's a beautiful opportunity toclear out that armor.
It's a really beautifulinvitation to slow down, to
quiet the brain, quiet the mind, quiet the body, so then we can
(18:55):
even witness what is asking tobe released.
Sometimes we're moving soquickly we don't even know where
our misalignment is coming from.
Breathwork is a way to recenter, to remember, to reclaim who we
truly are.
(19:16):
And we're going to be talkingabout human design.
We're going to be diving intoparts of your human design chart
that you can start with lookingat to set your New Year's
resolutions, to align yourbusiness, to really set a really
strong foundation for 2025.

It's going to be a lot ofinformation very easily
(20:00):
digestible.
The whole takeaway.
The one and only takeaway, isalignment.

align in our authenticity.
It's going to be recorded soyou can come back to it and
