Carolina and I met last year at a Wellness Summit, and I had the absolute privilege of experiencing her work firsthand — a transformative blend of music, dance, and radical human connection. What she’s created with Be You Disco isn’t just an event — it’s a sanctuary for authenticity, a space where people are invited to lay down the pressure to perform, to please, or to “pass” — and instead, to simply belong.

This message is especially vital at the moment for those of us in the LGBTQ+ community. So many of us grew up being taught how to fit in — to shrink ourselves, hide parts of who we are, or seek conditional acceptance ... and now, once agin we are being attacked by the current administration in an effort to erase our very existence.  But as Carolina shares in our conversation, fitting in is not the same as belonging — and that distinction rocked me to my core. It touched a wound I know many of us carry, and are sadly reliving once again … and our conversation offered a healing truth in return.

Carolina’s story — from being the driven child who always aimed to exceed expectations, to feeling unfulfilled in corporate sales, to launching her coaching practice in 2015 and eventually Be You Disco in 2020 — is a beautiful journey of self-discovery, freedom, and bold reinvention.

She is deeply committed to helping people break free from the roles and restraints that keep us small — and instead live lives that are expansive, purposeful, and joy-filled.
