Josh and Pierre are joined in the quarantine studios by attorney Riley Ross. Riley is a partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Mincey, Fitzpatrick, Ross.  He focuses his practice on civil rights and criminal defense.  Riley is also an African-American, married, father of two small children, Riley shares his thoughts about the killing of George Floyd and how he has responded to his young children’s questions about racism in society and the police. Riley and the guys also talk about systemic problems of bias that exist in many police departments today and the reforms that are being demanded.  Also, what does it mean to say, “defunding the police”? Riley explains what “defund” means and why the messaging on this issue needs to be changed. Defunding does NOT mean disbanding the police, rather it means looking at how the police funding is used and how it might be better spent on alternative resources. Plus, what legislation is being discussed locally and nationally to address police reform?  A frank and open discussion on race and policing in Philadelphia and America.  All this PLUS a QUIZZO that will UNITE US ALL! Eagles fans this is a must listen!!
