And welcome to another strange and unusual episode of KEEP IT WEIRD! Each week we get to hang out and chat about some of the weirdest things we know.

This week Ashley starts us off teaching us about the CARRINGTON EVENT! An electromagnetic storm that took place in 1859 that sent the US and parts of Europe into the dark(er) ages.  What are the chances of it happening again?  And what will happen to us when it does?

Then Lauren dives into one of the strangest unsolved mysteries we've ever heard-- The Tromp Family road trip.  A seemingly normal family in Australia up and vanishes and slowly return one by one... and no one... can say WHY?!  What is going ON with these Tromps?!

And finally we take a trip to the open ocean as we find out the freaking KRAKEN IS REAL!  Ok, maybe not, but in 1978 a US NAVY destroyer was rocked by a squid that is calculated to be over three times bigger than any we've ever found...
