The hilarious journey with an all-new perspective of the Middle East by Author Candace

I had an absolute blast having Candace MacPhie on my podcast! She's truly an inspiring individual, and our chat was incredibly captivating. Candace hails from Montreal, Quebec, and has spent years exploring the globe while backpacking and working. With a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA under her belt, she has amassed two decades of experience across four continents but now calls Calgary, Alberta, her home.

After getting married and starting a family, life got pretty hectic, and time flew by as her kids quickly grew up. To prioritize family, she made the bold choice to leave her job and focus on home life. During the COVID lockdown, with a bit more time on her hands, she decided to dive into writing and launched the "Back in a Year" series. Currently, she has three series: the first one is "Finding Color," the second is "Life Strikes Back," and her latest is "Hello, I Am Here." Candace's recent book, *Hello, I Am Here*, tells the story of her adventure with a ticket to travel the world, setting her sights on the Middle East. But instead of diving into her travels, she's stuck in Prague, pining for a guy who made it clear he doesn't love her. What keeps her there? It's like kryptonite holds her back. Together, they roam through the Czech Republic and Germany, indulging in way too many peanut butter sandwiches and avoiding their feelings—until they can't any longer.

When she finally boards a plane to meet up with her Australian friends, each step she takes through the scorching Middle Eastern heat brings a whole new set of challenges. Her escapades in Europe seem like a walk in the park compared to what lies ahead. This book captures her journey, showcasing the obstacles she faces and how she manages to push through against all odds.
