Get ready for a spine-tingling journey through the haunted Helgroathe Mine in the Land of Eem TTRPG, published by Exalted Funeral! Join Ben Costa and James Parks, authors of the graphic novel series Rickety Stitch and the Gelatinous Goo and Dungeoneer Adventures, alongside their lead playtester and longtime friend George Higgins, as they bring this mysterious adventure to life.

This episode dives into dark secrets and daring battles as Galen Dundoogle and Rylee Springle risk everything to uncover the truth. Guided by Old Noggin, a homeless man with cryptic tales, they unravel rumors of deception and destruction tied to the infamous Lord Orfong. Inside the eerie mine, they face falling rocks, engage in combat with skeletons, and unearth clues hinting at a catastrophic collapse—all while encountering a protective skeleton with a mysterious purpose.

With their wits and charm, the duo navigates puzzles, finding cufflinks that could hold the key to the mine’s dark history. But the journey doesn’t end there. Seeking justice for Old Noggin and plotting to expose Lord Orfong’s sinister plans, our heroes debate their next move: hiring a lawyer or infiltrating Orfong’s lair. Along the way, they add new tasks to their quest list, including visiting the Last Tree in the Used T’Be Forest and investigating a mysterious sketchbook.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, hey, hey, happy Saturday.
You know what I mean, rikitty.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Stitch.
And gelatinous Saturday Allright, welcome back to the land
of EAM RPG stream.
Yes, indeed, this is session 15.
Not trying to rhyme 15.
Yeah it's our keen senyera.

(00:30):
It's been a long time and let'skind of recap, bring people up
to date on what happened.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Previously on Land of EAM.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Last time you journeyed across the realm, over
the used to be forest until youcame upon the hell growth mine.
You heard some rumors about it,both from your friend.
What's his name?
Oh yeah.
He's from the Akadankihibidu.

(01:09):
He's an old noggin, he initiallytold you.
And then you met some bogglesEveryone's saying you know it's
a dangerous place.
Then you went over there andyou talked to old noggin, old
noggin.
And then there's a man who iskind of living a homeless life
outside of the mine.
He looks like pretty bad shape,he's a mace and he doesn't

(01:32):
remember his name, but peoplecall him old noggin and he said
that he's sure that subterraneanpits and layers was behind the
destruction of this mine, specifically Lord Warfong, he
thinks did it, the mysteriousfounder of subterranean pits and

(01:53):
layers.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Exactly, warfong did it and we're going to see if
it's true.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Okay, you told me you get the mine, go in, find proof
, any type of proof.
He's gone in there the lastyears and just could not find
anything.
It's haunted.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
He's also insane.
He's a little crackers.
He's like not all there, but Iguess if you're going into a
haunted mine every day for 40years, you're probably.
He's got so much negativecourage that he just existed.
A constant negative, he's likefilled with dread all the time.
Yep, hopefully we can take careof Innes and find out the truth

(02:40):
.
Little TCB, if you please, butyeah, first I think we were
going to just do a quickleveling.
Yeah, we're going to level ourcharacters.
We are actually level four now,for any of you that are just
joining us, we're playing theLand of Eem RPG and we are on

(03:04):
our 15th adventure and we'reabout to level our characters to
five, and that's cool andexciting, and I've got the book
up right here.
What are you thinking, georgie?
I'm trying to let go of theinner munchkin in me.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
It's a strong force inside of George.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
It's a wolf I continually feed because I want
to pump my numbers.
But what I love about the Landof Eem is that I have creative
abilities.
So when we level up I'm goingto gain both abilities at level
five and I have to give up oneof my level four abilities.
So I'm looking over here atMarshall prowess, which

(03:50):
increases my dread dye to D12,so I do more damage and if I
master it I gain a D6 couragehit points, which is pretty
valuable.
But having my faithful steed, being able to attack once per
session and do tricky maneuvers,is really good.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
So I think I might keep that.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
It has actually bailed us out a couple of times.
Yeah, it's true, two moredamage potential on a dread dice
is not as valuable as that, butthe courage I mean.
Maybe I wouldn't get knockedout every time, but at least
this next level I'm going to getsweeping strike, which is cool,

(04:29):
can attack multiple adversarieswithin close range.
And then I'm excited aboutworldwide, as I can start making
up terrible things aboutcultures, factions or groups of
people.
Terrible things, yeah, thingswill instantly get us in trouble
.
Yeah, all boggards have a thirdleg.

(04:51):
You can't see, it's just behindtheir neck.
It's a mutation that wasbrought on by being over by the
spill in Fleetback County.
Are you leveling up, james?
I am leveling up.
I've decided that I'm going tokeep the jack of all trades
because that has been super fun.
That's the power twice persession, name a specific

(05:13):
activity or proficiency that youconveniently have, and the rest
of the session you can gainadvantage when performing that
type of action.
So I've done that a bunchalready.
I've been like a pole vultureand I've like been a gymnast,
and I've been you know this outof the other usually nimbleness
related, because I am weak inthe middle.
This, although I finally got toplus one.
So life is life is good.

(05:35):
I am nimble for the first time, and then I'm excited about
these level five powers.
Pep talk is great.
I can give quest pointsimmediately, I can give you the
ability to roll with advantage,I can heal us, so it's like
really useful unsung heroes.
Also pretty cool because in aone encounter per session that

(05:58):
we play, I can make the triggerfive instead of a six for things
, which just could be like greatto use when encountering a
serious NPC or like seriousdanger.
So I'm excited to try theseboth out and then I will choose
the direction of Riley Springle.

(06:19):
Yes, yes, I was forgetting.
That's really all there is toleveling up, right, unless it,
we yeah, because you can spendXP on skills at any point you
want, you don't have to wait forlevel and you don't gain HP.
So yeah, all right, we're good, and I've still got some XP.

(06:41):
I'm like kind of hoarding XPjust in case I get a little
early.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Okay, let's, let's jump in, All right into the hell
.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Growth mine adventure begin.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
All right, you guys are outside of the mine.
You can definitely feel coldwaft of air kind of hit your
face and just feels like bridges, a natural and scary little
spooky in here.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Spooky in here.
Sony and Buck Redstone.
This is the first time I havefelt fear, this of all the stuff
we've been through.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
What do you do?
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I tell you what we do .
We search for traps beforeentering.
Is there any like I figure, atthe entrance or the entrance way
?
What does it look like at theentrance way, then, besides the
waft of cold?

Speaker 2 (07:49):
It's dilapidated.
It's a dilapidated mineentrance Kind of.
You can see broken beams likesnapping, just caverns already
starting to happen.
Rocks, oh man, everywhere.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, does it look?
Can we kind of assess thesafety of it?
I guess we want to make surethere's nothing trapped when we
walk in.
You know, trip wires oranything like that.
Do a search, check maybe.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, go for it.
Hey, Laina, you are new to ourchannel.
Just want to let us know thatyou read both of our books, and
one is our next book coming out, rigidy Stitch.
Book 3 is coming out in April, april 27th, I believe, is the
exact drop date.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
So it's on the way and I think you can even find it
on Amazon.
I think it's listed there.
Pre-order now.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah, thanks for reading and welcome to the
channel.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah, thanks, bernard , you got it correct.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Oh yes, yep, you can pre-order it on Amazon right now
, nice.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
So go ahead and make that search check.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Yeah, it's going to be.
Forgive me, everything is D12,right, my brain is DND.
Search check is zero.
I have no idea, like it's justcrazy.
Two, I think everything iscompletely safe.
I look around and I say I kindof like hit some of the beams.

(09:23):
Yeah, yeah, this is sturdy.
Nothing could go wrong as wewalk in here.
I believe him because Gailin'smy best buddy and nobody can
check for traps better than him.
Yes, yes, definitely is in myjob description.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Make nibbleness checks.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Oh, alright, I talked a big game about nibbleness
Immediately.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Let's go as you're walking in.
It really doesn't appear to betrapped, but it's just so
unstable.
Yeah, like the first 30 feetthat you walk in, it's like
things are already starting tojar loose.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
I might get hit by something.
Yeah, yeah, I rolled a 12.
You're very nibble.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
You dart through as the ceiling starts to cave and
rocks start falling.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Can I lend a?
Hand you take five dread.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Oh man, Bad day, bad day, badday.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I guess if you wanted to lend a hand.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I was going to use, lend a hand if possible.
Although these, I guess we dohave the temporary hit points
from Earth.
This isn't a combat, but I'mnot that makes me worry less.
You know what I mean, becausewe'll go if we're getting into
combat.
We have some temporary hitpoints, so it shouldn't be too
bad.
I would save it.
I'll save it, gailin, I thoughtthere were no more than any

(11:08):
traps.
Oh, we're in here now.
Map change.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Map change.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Let me zoom out, because it's probably there.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
I just, I'm still oh, okay.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
I'm going to zoom all the way in and this is
revealing things.
The Fodge of War, the Fodge ofWar.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Okay, you've entered.
You come around this cornerbehind you.
It hasn't fully caved in, butit's partially caved.
You have to crawl back throughrocks to get out of here.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Okay, Okay, so do we?
I assume we have like a torch,Do we?
We can see.
You assume I have no torch orlantern.
I have a flint and tinder.
I could technically make atorch, Could I?
Could I like use tinker andcobble together a torch?

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Nice yeah especially with you know, if you use a
material, you'll have a legittorch.
How about this?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
I have a raggedy stuffed animal you can use in
lieu of the material.
It will burn super well.
I roll a 13.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Wow, it's like having a floodlight.
Yeah, you light up the area andit looks like you go three
different ways.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Left, right or, you know, east, west or south.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
What do you say?
You want to try east?
Yeah, definitely.
I'm going to say left in honorof Darren Corb.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
No no west, diane west.
Are you saying east or west?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I think we want to go this way.
Okay, all right.
Wait, wait, wait.
Did you say east or west?
I assumed you said west.
I said east because I justexpected you to say we go left
like Darren Corb.
I see it's all relative, because left as we're looking at

(13:38):
it or left as our character seeit, that's where I would get
confused.
Yeah, that's deep role playing.
Regardless, we went this way, Iguess.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, that's committed role playing.
Yeah, I mean, you really shouldjust look at the map.
I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
I'm sitting here on my bog roll legs, hold my breath
for five minutes at a time.
Stroke on my throat, pouch.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
All right, you head this way and then you see over
in a pocket of a mine area likea bunch of old tools, like
pickaxes and whatnot Tools, andthen you see a skeleton picking
away.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Whoa, I mean, we've encountered skeletons picking
away before.
It's kind of reminiscent of ourtime in the.
What was it the sinkhole?
Was that this campaign?
Was that this campaign?
Yeah, when we were down there,we had to secure a gold claim.
Sorry, we had to secure a goldclaim, so we had that video like

(14:57):
four or something.
Oh, we got chased, right, yeah.
We got chased through town.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
We immediately started Slurp 1.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I think that was a different campaign yeah.
Was it really?
I was right?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
No, oh my gosh, we ended up going to the same
location, that's what it wasOkay, got it Okay, and then we
got to where it just goes aboutas business.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
It's head rotate full 180 while it continues to pick.
No, it's not what it's showingit looks at you, and then it
looks back at its work, it'snever ending work.
Maybe that's what the hauntedis Like.
The clinking obviously is askeleton.
Yeah, but if it's not botheringanybody, maybe we could go past

(15:44):
it.
Yeah, yeah, does it look to bein good repair that we can
salvage for usefulness later?

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Yeah, yeah, it looks decent.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
I hunt around.
I pick up a pickaxe.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
The skeleton turns towards you and raises its
pickaxe.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
At me, or yeah, like, oh, I start mining in the wall.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
It wants to attack you, dang it.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I'd draw my sword.
I'm sorry, my greed knows nobounds.
I just thought you know, if Istart mining in the mine, he's
going to be okay with it Allright.
He's not on board.
No.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Yeah, this is a conflict.
You can't, you can't parlaywith skeletons.
That's their downfall, yourdownfall, our downfall.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, all right.
Well yeah, I too draw my.
What am I wielding these days?
Yep, my magnificent sword.
Still, how about the?
We immediately go into combatin the first room that we enter
in mine.
My serial initiative mymagnificent short sword is quick

(17:13):
, so I attack first.
Perfect, nice, come on D12.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Oh, savvy to levy.
What was it?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Perception, ben it is yeah, sorry, it's sixth yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
So, riley, you go and Go and strike at this thing,
but it just kind of like grazesits bones.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
We can't kill.
It's already dead.
We got to go here.
We got away Right away.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
George, you're up.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Okay, I attack.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
D12 plus doors.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
I believe in you.
Oh snap, but it's so sad.
My, my dread is less.
Now it's sixth dread, thoughit's decent.
Seeing James is or Riley'ssword kind of clank off the
bones.
I rotate mine so the flat ofthe blade hits him and turns

(18:34):
into a cudgel and I smash intohis bones as best I can.
Night air it all the way.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
It's what I do, okay, the six dread shatters this
skeleton into.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yes, nice shot, good shot man.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Good shot.
Red 2.
There's a big clamor and youyou hear Clamor is never good.
You hear kind of moaning fromdeeper into the mine.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Oh man, a weird ghostly moan Ben, was this guy
wearing a uniform?
No, are there any like miningcarts or anything around that we
get hide in?

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, this area has like mining carts and equipment.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Did you want to hide until the moaning ceases?
Is that your thought?
Are they?
Are they like coming into theroom or is it just in the
distance?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
You just hear in the distance.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Okay, the sounds of combat have alarmed them.
Yes, maybe we should go theother way and it'll dissipate.
Yeah, and then we can circleback.
Was there anything else left inthis room, ben, or this area
that we can perceive?

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Just all the equipment, just the mining
equipment.
Okay.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
I'd like to examine them, I know there's nothing
stopping you.
Is there, like any machinery orany like bigger equipment that
we can't really move, that Icould examine to see if it's
been tampered with, or anythinglike that?
Oh yeah, yeah, we're lookingfor like use, tinker or
mechanics.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
There's nothing.
This stuff is probably decadesago, so it's plausible that that
technology wasn't evenwidespread like the big shrimp
boring machines.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, that's like what I was thinking of, like the
rickety stitch book too.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Yeah, that probably didn't exist yet.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Okay, cool, all right .
Then I say, like a mining cart,it's like fill it with treasure
and push it around.
Yeah, we should just load it upwith, like the tools and stuff.
It's like become a scavengerrun, right, anything.
We can come out with 40 miningpicks, 30 shovels.

(21:11):
Yeah, maybe we should load somestuff into a mining cart.
Just push along with us.
Yeah, we'll follow the railsdeeper into the mine.
I assume there's rails deeperinto the mine.
Then Is that fair statement?
Yeah, all right, do you want togo towards the moaning and like

(21:35):
, maybe sneak in and investigate?
Like maybe it's not what wethink it is or something, but
I'm still terrified.
It's just the wind.
It's the wind in this windlessplace.
Yes, although there was a cold, wafting entrance Like a ghost,
a ghost fart.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Deeper and deeper into the mine.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
We're going deeper and deeper into the mine.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
A torch of light, a flame.
When we hold the torch aloft,do we see any minerals
glistening in the walls?
Dude, can we tell what kind ofmine this was?

Speaker 2 (22:25):
It was a coal mine.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
We see inky blackness in the walls.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Got it you come to a collapsed tunnel.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Small enough for a shrimp to wiggle through.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Let's just think of that.
It looks like not even a bogglecould squeeze through.
You'd have to clear the waysomehow.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Can we use some of those picks and start hacking at
it?
See how thick the collapse isLike?
Maybe we can get through.
Yeah, see if we can makeprogress yeah.
Sure, I pick a little bit.
I'm going to make a mic check.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, make a mic check.
You know, mic check, mic check.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
One, two, one, two, Wow, no-transcript.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
So you guys, are able to clear this like fairly
quickly.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
We both just like target the same point and
alternate picks.
Yeah, Rylee's been doing a lotof crossfit between adventure
games.
I just see her flipping tiresall day and she doesn't stop
talking about it.
Yeah, at least really tryflipping this tire.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
So you efficiently just kind of bore a little hole
that you both can fit through.
It's not like a huge entrance.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
For a moment we feel like we missed our calling as
miners, just for a fleetingmoment.
Should go back to Sinkhole andget a claim.
Yeah, all right, I will likewriggle through to see if I can
get a good idea of what's on theother side, if we want to

(24:31):
pursue that way or not.
Yeah, I'll kind of clamberbehind when Rylee motions me up.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
You hear another ghostly moan.
It's definitely coming fromhere and it's louder, much
louder now.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
I want to like try to get my eyes on whatever is
moaning without it finding outI'm there so we can run away.
It's horrible.
Yeah, if you're trying to sneak, I'm going to stay back because
my armor gives medisadvantageous dee.
Okay, I will attempt to sneak.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Are you leaving the torch behind?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Oh yeah, I got to leave the torch behind as Noodle
sneaks by Got him.
Okay, I'll hand Galen the torchand I don't know what to do
with it.
I hold it upside down for myhand.
Put it out.
Oh, you want me to?
No, and I'm going to continuestraight in like hugging the

(25:51):
wall, trying to bend behind likeboulders or anything that's
like away so I can try to see,and then, if it gets too dark,
I'll just come back for thetorch.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Okay, you notice you have two ways to go Left or
right.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I vote the rule of Darren and guy go left.
This time I guess I got a newapproach.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Okay, On the ground you find a sketch pad.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Examine it.
Tram you like one of your blog.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Real girls the paper is like brittle and old but you
see faint sketches of likemining equipment, the type of
stuff that you're hoping to find, like maybe prototype drawings
of this sort of equipment, likegiant boring machines and oh,

(26:58):
got it.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Is it too brittle to like roll it up or fold it and
pocket it?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
It's not too real, is just you'd have to be delicate
with it.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Okay, I'm going to keep it and I'll go get George
and bring him over to this side.
I refuse, nope, went far enough.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I'm not going any further.
This place is creepy.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
I'm out of here Getting a little drafty, you
know, I think I left somethingon the stove outside.
Yeah, no, I definitely will belike okay, all right, let's go.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Okay, At this point you can hear that the moaning is
coming from the east.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Okay, let's check it out, man.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah, we got to see what's not facing.
But when you come to this area, kind of circle around, there's
like, basically what you'reseeing is just like entrances
and offshoots that have justbeen collapsed, okay, and then

(28:25):
as you're walking through likeit becomes unstable again as it
was in the entrance.
So you'll need to makenimbleness checks again.
All right, Nimbleness 11.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
We're all in pretty good this time.
We're all in pretty good.
I think I got, I'm thinkingBernard, because he gave us good
luck like right before westarted.
I'm feeling it right now.
I'm like this is he?

Speaker 2 (28:53):
used to do that every time now.
Yeah, thank you I hope you hearthis.
It's helping.
It's helping.
Yeah, both of you squeezethrough this passage as a giant
rock just fooms, blocking it.
You cannot return this way.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Okay, well, we're going deeper, no matter what.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
You follow the sound of the moaning.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Is that correct?
Let's follow and figure outwhat's going on All right.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
You get to this area and you see a ghost.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
I don't even know how to deal with that.
What do we do?

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Like full roaming vapor.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Class seven.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
No, but it's not like a full ghost of a person, it's
like a bottom half, it's fulltorso.
Full torso, repeater.
And it does not pay attentionto you when you walk in.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Oh interesting, I'll say hello to the ghosts, hello.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
It slowly turns towards you.
Why have you come?

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Well, we've, we're just investigating, we're trying
to try to figure out if thisplace was sabotaged.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Dead Everyone.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
And we're trying to be a hand of justice here and
get to the bottom of this sothat these crimes against asmose
employees can be dealt with andthe proper authorities can
arrest those involved.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Make a charm check.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
I'm not charming.
Actually, I am charming.
I mean, let me, let me Seven.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Seven.
Um, it Regards you and thenjust points that way behind it.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Okay, I'm going to walk by but I'm going to like
give it a wide berth.
It's like always facing itThings are good, nice day and
see if I could like go towardswhat they're pointing at and
investigate it.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Right Leads you All the way down.
Looks like a dead end here.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Like a proper dead end or another cave in cave in.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Yeah, like a cave in, but it looks impassable.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Not even do you think a A kind of strength might be
able to make it passable.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
No, it's just like a ton of green materials Like
Debris.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Debris and it's just totally a dead end there's like
nothing.
Yeah yeah, I wonder if we canlike search.
Yeah, I'm going to searchbecause we can't go back the
other way, so we're going tolook at the next step.
Right, she's got to be pointingto something.

(33:09):
Yeah, yeah, I will search andsee.
If there's any kind of likeloose stones or something we can
get through, I'll enter thespot.
Dammit, oh, there we go Awesome12.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Thank you, bernard.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Right, you find cufflinks.
Cufflinks Shining in thetorchlight.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Ooh, I bet I know who those cufflinks belong to.
Oh snap, Does it say like L01?

Speaker 2 (33:41):
It says T or Fung oh snap or T, maybe that.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
T's first name yes, Thaddeus, or Fung.
So or Fung is responsible.
There's evidence here this isamazing.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
How do we get out of here?
Yeah let's bring back the goats.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
I don't know, this is like not necessarily hard proof
, though, right, or is thisproof enough?

Speaker 2 (34:12):
It's something.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
You know why does this cufflinks here.
It's evidence.
We'll just chalk it up asevidence.
We put it in like a clearplastic bag.
We seal it with a taggingPreserve the chain of custody.
That's too funny.
Yeah, so that's amazing.
Anything else here, ben?

(34:35):
I mean, this is a big find.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
I know what more do you want?
I mean come on.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
A magnificent hoard man.
Come on, we've been spoiled byfinding this, so let's go back
to the ghost, because we clearlycan't leave from over here.
Yeah, we should bring it backto the ghost.
We hold up the baggie.
Yeah, I've hold the person.
Is this evidence?

(35:03):
T Orphong, they're responsiblefor the cave ins.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
It just.
It looks transfixed by thecufflinks.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Okay, okay.
It says yes, yes, Okay, Allright.
Well, do you know a way out ofhere?
We've are kind of trapped inhere from a cave in.
Is there any possible way forus to get to another part of the
mine so that we can you knowexact justice?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Make a metal check oh boy, that's a four.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
That's a four.
My brain liquefies.
Start speaking in tongues.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
The ghost possesses you.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Oh no, oh boy, okay, what skills do I have to pay the
bills?
Oh yes, okay, go on, ben.
Sorry, I have an idea.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
You can feel it, riley, but you can't like say
anything and you just startwalking.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Okay, out, walking out in some direction, like
that's you start walking thisway.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Oh, got it.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
So this is a this whole area is a complete dead
end.
Now, right, so we're justcircling back to where it worked
.
Oh, I thought we were trappedin here.
I think we just couldn't comeback this way.
No, yeah, I know, I was likesearching for like ways to get
out of here.
I thought we were like going torun an auction, it was.

(37:07):
I was freaking out.
It's still possible.
So there's that, yeah, allright, so I guess I'll follow.
I'll follow to make sure thatnothing untoward happens to
Riley at the moment besidesbeing possessed.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
As you guys, you'll need to pass through that area
cleared out.
Okay, lainis has to blow upeverything with TNT.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
That's a good idea.
I'm a fan of that.
Next search, check TNT.
I know might.
What is the ghost making, riley?
Actually, can I try to talk tothe ghost?

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
Unhand, my friend, there's a robot.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
I do, I am leading you out.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Okay, I mean that seems pretty reasonable, nice
enough, kind of an invasive andterrifying way to do it.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah, we would have followed you.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
I don't have to possess her, but thank you for
your assistance.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
When you get back to this area, there is a group of
skeletons that is gathered.
It's blocking the way.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
I turned to the ghost and I said are these your
workers?
No, no.
Are these people from SPL?

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Riley, you're just walking, and then you start
running towards them.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
Oh my gosh, let's see how do I battle for my own mind
.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
They will pay for their crimes.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
So it's obvious this ghost wants to kill all these
SPL workers likely.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Seems that way, okay.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
I'm going to, so Riley's charging them.
I'm charging them.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
Make another metal check, I will.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Before, don't roll it yet, let me inspire you.
Yeah, sorry, I keep rolling toofast.
No, no, no, I'm also too slowon my inspiration.
T12.
Okay, before I can say anything, you just bolt and you're out
of your shot, like Riley does a,and I just hustle after you.
All right, I use my loyal charmmetal.

(39:50):
Oh, you rolled a.
D10.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
Oh, I did.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Yay, 11.
11.
Okay.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
You stop just short of like plowing into them.
You realize that you're holdingyour weapon.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
I'm like what?

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Oh my goodness, there's five of them.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Oh, that's it.
Oh, okay, we made it.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
We made.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
there's 10 of them those Suddenly more bones rise
out of the ground.
I'll say Gailin, what's goingon?
You're possessed.

(40:41):
These guys are from SPL andthey probably want to kill us.
There's no parlaying withskeletons.
Can I keep running at fullspeed and slide through the legs
of one of them and get behindthem?
You can use your pole baldingthing too.

(41:03):
I don't have that.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Okay, yeah, that will be your action.
You'll have to make anibbleness check.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Okay, we'll do, and I'll just continue to charge up
to engage in combat.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
I'll make my perception to see if I go before
or after them.
I go before, I do not.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
What is your total, James?
My six.
It's a success with a twist.
I think it means that you getthrough, but some are focused on
you.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Yeah, I can deal with that.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
All right, Gailin.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Skellies man, I'm going to attack using sweeping
strike 1d4 plus 1.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Right, I said oh.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
Okay, I was like whoa , whoa, we make me pump my
brakes.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
That's my ability that's whyI'm doing it.
It is a new ability, exciting.
I'm excited.
So Ben does it.
It says, once per combat attack, 1d4 plus 1 adversaries within
close range.
Now do I roll to attack and ifI hit, then we roll to see how

(42:41):
many it hits.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
I mean either way.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
Okay, I'm going to roll.
Because you're rolling oneattack Nice, nice, nice.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Come on, Georgie.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
Let's see how many people I hit.
I hit four of them.
That's good.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, that'sa crit.
That's 20 damage to four ofthem.
That's over-roll, holy cow.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
I just run up and I yell.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
Riley took.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Yeah, you just slash through four of these things and
they are incinerated by yourblade.
Yeah, that's possible.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Blaming justice, Gaelan holy cat.
I retire this character becausehe would never do anything
better than that.
That was the best thing ever hecould possibly do.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
That is good.
The one you did not hit hadgone for Riley.
Of course Attacks Riley.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
It actually was thrown off balance by the
massive force of me.
Yeah, this sudden force oferosive-ness that came out of
Gaelan.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
It's lost, it's true, yeah, it just it trips up and
falls over.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Riley is just like take that and that and that and
that, I'm just going to stab iton the ground.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
It's next round, yep.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Roll initiative.
I go before it.
I have not used the short swordto attack first.
Right now it's on the ground.
I can't do it.
It's actually too easy of atarget.
You weren't anticipating it.

(44:54):
This sword goes right throughits ribs.
I miss it entirely no contact.
It looks down and looks up atyou.
I never forget how creepy thatwas.
I sleep and see it in my mind.
It's a six.
It'll be able to counterattackme if I don't kill it.

(45:14):
Ten, I do six damage.
Beautiful, it attacks you.
Oh, it's getting revenge forits friends.
I'm not sure if Tens can evenhave friends.
I don't think that's the thingthey do.
Sixth Stret we have five hitpoints because of our armor.

(45:35):
I take one damage Down to tenout of sixteen.
Courage Next.
That was its counterattack.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
It gets to attack again.
It gets up and hacks at you.
Galen, it's a hit with acounterattack.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Finish from you, this one guy, this guy over here,
that's a ten.
Come on, I'm surprised.
I look down and I'm bleeding myown blood.
Nobody makes me bleed my ownblood.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
You hack off one of its arms, but it still has its
pick arm.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Riley get over behind .

Speaker 2 (46:31):
I'll try.
Next round, yeah, next round,go for it Sudden, oh we both go
first.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Yeah, go ahead, riley .
All right, I attack.
Wait, I rolled seven initiative.
Mm-hmm, oh, I'm going to go forit Again.
Right through the ribs.
I dropped my sword, I put itright through.
It clatters through like adisarmament with ribcage.

(47:05):
Is it?
Magnificent though it is, butit's not.
Oh, no, that's trustee.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Yeah, that's trustee, that's right, it's quick, it's
quick.
Yeah, I think it's like stuckin its ribcage.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
It's going to just like pick up a shovel and just
beat it.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
I want to die.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
I'm so incensed by it making me bleed that I credit
for 18 damage.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
I don't do it.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
It's going to just.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yeah, you've taken care of these skeletons.
The ghost says bring us justice, all of us.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
Whatever you say, we're on the case.
I give him a knowing nod.
Riley and Galen amateurdetectives.
I'm wondering if we shouldsearch the rest of the mind for
any more Evidence, yeah,evidence.
Can we ask the ghost?

(48:17):
Is there more in the mind thatcan help incriminate Lord Arfong
?

Speaker 2 (48:29):
I do not know we're right at the entrance.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
We could take it to Noggin and show him yeah, I
would do it, can pop out, cancamp real quick, get some
courage back.
I mean, if we want to come backin, we can come back in or not,
doesn't matter to me.
Either way, let's talk toNoggin before we get ourselves
into more shenanigans as onedoes.

(48:55):
Hey, noggin, we found someevidence that supports your
claim that sub-training pits andlayers, specifically Warfong,
sabotaged your company.
Oh, check these out, like showthem the cufflinks with T Orfong

(49:18):
written on them.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Torfong.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
I was going to say it , but you beat me to it.
Is it Torfong?
Are we wrong?
Is this somebody else's?

Speaker 2 (49:32):
Oh, orfong, lord Orfong, yeah, that's, him.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
And would he have any business being in the mind at
all?

Speaker 2 (49:45):
No, this belonged to Asimuth.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Hmm, All right so.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Torfong was here.
I say Bernard, thank you forsticking around.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Thanks, Bernard, we're like you're just about
your good luck charm.
Oh man, our roles are going tosuck, but thanks, you got us
through this unscathed.
Have a great weekend, have agreat weekend.
So where should we take these?
To prove your case, dunk, Iimagine.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
right Take them to Dunk.
I guess you could find a lawyerin Dunk.
What if we went to SPLourselves?

Speaker 1 (50:35):
Or did what?
Burn it down.
Yes I say, don't you thinkthey're just going to make us
disappear?

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Well, we sneak in.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
And do what Kill Lord Orfong.
I don't know if that's possible.
What's your plan, old noggin?

Speaker 2 (51:00):
What if they got records or something?

Speaker 1 (51:04):
Yeah, if we could find records, then we could
match it up and then note ontheir up.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
Can I show this?

Speaker 1 (51:58):
the schematics to Noggin that I found and say hey,
what do you make of theseschematics?
Oh, Schematic.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
These were old plans.
Some guy, some guy, some guy.
I could see his face.
I can't remember his name.
It was he.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Can I hold a mirror up to Noggin and be like is this
his face?

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Who's that?

Speaker 1 (52:31):
This is you.
Is that him, that's?

Speaker 2 (52:36):
so old?
What have I become?
What have I become?
I'm old.

Speaker 1 (52:44):
That's what you've become.
Old Time will do that to you.
You kind of lost control there.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I mean, when you're looking at this sketchbook, you
see that there's a name.
What is the name?
Regal Mundubal.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
Is your name?
Regal Mundugal.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Regal Mundubal.
No, no, that was my friend, regal Mundubal.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
And what happened to your friend Were they lost in
the mine or I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Everyone was killed.
I barely made it out.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Where is SPL's headquarters?
Because we need more evidencethan Orphanus cufflinks.
It's next to Wally's.
Oh, oh, it is that.
Okay, got it, got it, got it.
Wally's Waffenslin works, weworks.
This is right over here.
It's not super far, and then wecan get a lawyer in Dunk.

(53:59):
Yeah, I don't know why.
Like having a troll lawyer inDunk because of all the lawyer
paperwork that we need for thetroll bridge.
It's like oh well, while you'reat it, we'd like to take you as
a retainer, and sure we canbuild a case against one of the
biggest engineering out there.
Oh my God, I love it.
We need attorney, okay, soHarvey Birdman, that's.

(54:25):
I mean, that's some travel time, but it's not super far.
Yeah, and everything seems tobe going okay at the crack with
a spin.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Yeah, it's up to you how you want to do it.
If you don't want to go to SPL,then gosh.
I'm curious, I'm very tempted.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Yeah, I'm curious about getting justice for Noggin
, getting justice for that andthe schematics look like they
might be valuable, like there'ssomething to those.
Yeah, the prototypes yeah, I'mintrigued, I think.

(55:09):
I mean, why not?
Let's, just let's.
This is the beauty of thesandbox, so maybe we can, we can
get going on our journey andthen sort of find a way to sneak
into SPL for the next weekend.
So this is the things thatwe've added to our quest.

(55:29):
Now we've added SPL and we alsostill have to check out this
tree.
Oh, yeah, the tree.
Yes, oh, ben, they can't seethat.
You'll have to switch over toyour stream.
They can, I can see it.
No, they can see this.

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Oh, really, oh, okay, okay okay, got it, got it, got
it.
They can see this.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
So yeah, these are the quests.
Visit the last tree in the usedto be forest.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Find proof that Lorda Warfong of SPL sabotage to hell
growth mine, I updated it.
You know what I mean.
Look at that.
Look at this guy.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
Classic hoops micosta over here.
You know what I mean I do?

Speaker 2 (56:10):
I know I got my eye on you guys, you know.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
I got my eye on your burgers and fries.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Yes, how do you want to proceed?
Old noggin was saying he'sgoing to come with you Whatever
you do.
Wait, wait.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
No, that's perfect, because that is perfect.
Zona inbox is like and then weinherited this old noggin and
old noggin's like what's that?
Mushroom animal was writingabout.
He was sitting there scribblingall day.
He's making funny stupid jokesfrom me.
He like wakes up in the middleof the night.
He put a spore in my nose.
I could feel him growing in mylungs.

(56:48):
He's setting root.
He's trying to take over mymind, because he never sleeps.
He never sleeps and he keeps usup all night complaining about
something.
Hey, you guys, you ever feellike your knees don't exist
anymore.
So I do.
What do you think of this?
What if we checked out the lasttree?

(57:09):
Yeah, I was thinking that too.
The tree first, because maybeSPL is doing something.
Yeah, like they're the onesthat chop down the rest of the
forest, right?
So if we go to the tree, thenwe can.
You read my mind.
I was absolutely thinking thattoo we can hang a West and then
maybe had to go Fort Bullwarkbecause that seems like a safe
haven, allegedly, allegedly.

(57:31):
Yeah, I'm game.
I think that's great.
Okay, so how do you want to dothis?
We've already been, we'vealready streamed an adventure.
Do you want to head that way?
Or do you want to cut it nowand then begin the next arc of
the adventure next Saturday?
I feel like we should beginnext Saturday, simply because

(57:52):
