Wayne Matthews is a Major in the Texas Rangers, he is part of the executive leadership team of the Texas Ranger Division, and manages operations in an assigned region of Texas.
The Texas Rangers date back almost 200 years.
As a Division of the Texas DPS, Rangers oversee and conduct major case investigations, field corruption allegations, perform border security operations, and collaborate with local law enforcement.
Wayne started his career in 1994 as a deputy sheriff in Uvalde Texas.
