Nous reviendrons sur l’histoire de la mobilisation des écoliers au Québec, un objet souvent délaissé par la science politique, longtemps considéré comme une période pré-politique. De fait, les grèves et les mobilisations des élèves est un sujet peu abordé et analysé. Cependant, à l’automne 2020, des anciens et des élèves actuels de l’école secondaire Henri Bourassa, située à Montréal Nord, se sont mobilisé.e.s afin de dénoncer un enseignant aux propos racistes homophobes, misogynes. Ce groupe hétérogène constitué de plusieurs générations d’élèves se nomme les Béliers Solidaires. Trois des membres de ce groupe : Abir, Hiba et Cathy ont accepté notre invitation et ont généreusement partagé avec nous leurs expériences de mobilisation.
Francis Dupuis-Déri s'intéresse quant à lui aux mobilisations des élèves et a publié plusieurs articles scientifiques mais aussi des articles de vulgarisation sur la question,
Dans cet épisode, nous parlerons des mobilisations d’écolier.ère.s qui se sont levé.e.s face aux injustices et à la discrimination raciale, de racisme systémique et de la manière dont il se reproduit au sein de l’institution scolaire et les conséquences que cela peut avoir dans les répertoires de mobilisations.
