Have you ever stopped to marvel at how dramatically different your life is from those who lived just a few centuries ago? Drawing from recent explorations into historical literature and media, this episode reveals the extraordinary power of human imagination that shapes our everyday reality.

Picture this: ancestors trudging to wells for water while we enjoy hot showers at the touch of a button. The wealthy of yesteryear laboriously filling bathtubs with heated buckets while modern plumbing gives us instant comfort. These transformations didn't happen by accident—they began as ideas in someone's mind.

What we casually call "manifesting" today is actually conscious creation stemming from our uniquely human capacity to imagine possibilities that don't yet exist. From running water to air conditioning, from pillows to skyscrapers, everything beneficial in our modern world began as someone's "crazy idea." No other species possesses this extraordinary ability to envision and then bring into being.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Lately and this hasn't beenintentional, but lately I've
been spending time with books,tv shows, literature that's
based hundreds or thousands ofyears ago.

(00:23):
Watching the Chosen, which isJesus's story.
I'm reading a book that wasbased in the 1700s in Maine.
I'm reading historical.
I know that varies a lot intimeframe, but I'm reading stuff
and paying attention to stuff.
House of David, also thousandsof years ago.
I'm paying attention to thedetails in these stories

(00:46):
historically, that reveal to mehow good our lives are today.
People used to have to go to awell to get water.
You couldn't just turn on thetap and have a hot bath.
This was until recently, right1700s, 1800s, Maine people had
to bring hot buckets from thekettle to fill a bathtub and

(01:07):
this was really reserved forpeople of great wealth, meaning
we live better than royalty evenlived not so long ago in the
history of our evolution.
And what's really stuck out tome, as I've been kind of
immersed in this, is thisImagination rules the world.

(01:28):
It's not even manifesting right.
We use the word manifesting alot in our society now
Manifesting, manifesting.
I want to manifest this.
I manifested him, I manifestedthat it's actually creating,
actively creating.
This is what I call consciousmanifesting.
Think about it.
Our imaginations are powerful.

(01:50):
Someone had to think aboutrunning water, someone had to
think about flying a plane, someone had to think about air
conditioning, someone had tocreate pillows, someone had to
create homes with warmth, withinsulation.
My friends, yes, it is amanifestation in the real world,
meaning it came into physicalform, but first it was an idea.

(02:14):
And this is what is incredibleabout being alive human
ingenuity.
No other species can do this.
No one else has the prefrontalcortex that can imagine, imagine
what can be before anythingcame to be.
I look at a skyline here inmiami.
I know that every business, every building, every hotel was

(02:36):
once an idea.
First, it's wonderful, uh,contrasted to the beautiful
ocean, which is just eternal andpowerful and stunning.
But you see both together andreally that's us, isn't it?
We are nature and we are hereto create.
So whatever those crazy ideasare that you have, remember that

(02:57):
almost everything was a crazyidea.
Once People didn't imagine amoving car.
They're going by horse, right?
There's that old joke If youask oh, henry Ford said this If
you ask someone in you know Xamount of years ago, what would
have been amazing.
They would have said a fasterhorse.
My friends, what is it that youare imagining?

(03:19):
What are your ideas?
Everything, great Everythingthat benefits our lives, all of
our modern conveniences.
I'm not even talking abouttechnology yet.
It's incredible to see where AIwill be in 30 years.
Oh my gosh, isn't it thrillinghow lucky we are to be alive now
.
I have really two takeaways forthis, as I ponder imagination,

(03:41):
ideas, creation.
The first is this don't ignoreyour ideas.
Everything was an idea, first, and there is not a single
exception to that.
And then, secondly, I think tomyself in this age to be alive
now.
How lucky we are, how blessedwe are, how many opportunities

(04:03):
we have that our ancestors couldonly have dreamt of.
It's like they're cheering uson, cheering us on in their
spirit.
Oh my gosh, you have telephones.
Oh my gosh, you can go up anddown a building in an elevator.
Oh my gosh, you can go toAustralia via an airplane.
My friends, I love this quotefrom Seth Godin.

(04:24):
He said how dare you beordinary when the world has made
it so easy for you to beextraordinary?
Where can your imagination, your ideas, your human
uniqueness lead you?
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and ease.

(04:46):
