Deciphering the subtle language of our inner guidance system can be tricky, especially when our hearts pull us toward situations that might not serve our highest good. This revealing episode tackles a question many of us face: How do we know when that compelling urge to take action (particularly with past relationships) is divine intuition versus our ego playing tricks?

Drawing from listener questions about reconnecting with exes, I unpack the crucial differences between true inspired action and ego-driven impulses. While both can generate excitement, they lead to vastly different outcomes. True intuition guides us toward expansion despite sometimes seeming impractical or risky—"It's like God talking to us, saying 'I've got you.'" Meanwhile, ego-based urges often arise from momentary loneliness or boredom, disguising themselves as intuition while potentially leading us back to harmful situations.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Okay, my friends, I had someDMs and I need a follow-up to a
past episode that I recordedhere just a couple of weeks ago.
It was about trusting yourselfto make the right decisions

(00:23):
right.
So not just using your head, which is really there to be
logical, to be rational, tothink everything through to make
sure you're safe, but trustingand following and leading with
your heart.
The episode was called regularaction versus inspired action.
But, my friends, this doesrequire a follow-up based on

(00:45):
what I heard from you.
Now, one question stuck out tome in particular.
Someone said to me you know, Ihad this relationship with
somebody and it didn't work out,it ended.
You know we ended as friendsbut you know, for whatever
reason, their relationshipdidn't seem to be healthy.
For whatever reason, theirrelationship didn't seem to be

(01:06):
healthy.
And she said sometimes I getthis inspired feeling to reach
out, to maybe meet up to.
I don't know what she wasinterpreting.
This impulse, this urge toreconnect, to call an ex, was
coming up more than once and shewas like, is that inspired
action?
Like, how do I know?
So let's break this down for asecond, okay, before you jump

(01:35):
into the impulse, the instinct, that feeling that you have, that
you would call intuition, thatsays come this way.
That might not seem practicalto anybody else.
Intuition isn't practical, right, think about it.
Anybody else, intuition isn'tpractical, right, think about it
.
We're told to do things thatseem risky, that seem scary,
that seem different, that don'tgo with the status quo.
Intuition is amazing.

(01:55):
It's like God is talking to us,saying I've got you.
Come this way, your path isthis way.
It is sometimes easy to getthat confused with ego and
satisfying a specific need.
So when this girl reached outto me saying should I get in
touch with my ex, it feels likeinspired action.
This is, in fact, where you doneed to employ that brain of

(02:17):
yours.
Right, we are gifted theseincredible brains.
They come with our body atbirth.
Incredible brains, they comewith our body at birth.
And if you've already had, say,a negative or an unwanted
situation with someone orsomething, give it a bit of time
.
Now.
My advice is always speed.

(02:37):
I know the universe loves speed, desire loves speed.
Got an impulse, trust it,follow it, do it immediately.
Do the thing before the desirecools off.
But when it involves somethingthat has a bit of a twinge, a
bit of a question mark, a bit ofa this feels dangerous, this
feels like it might not be agood idea.
Instead of thinking, oh, thisis just fear, I should push
through, which tends to be thecase when we're expanding.

(03:00):
If we're actually going intowards a direction that will
contract us, that might have anegative outcome or result, we
can have that twinge of oh, buthmm, it actually does feel
slightly different.
It feels almost like a bit of astop sign, and so if you've
already had experience in thisarea maybe it's a person, a

(03:22):
circumstance, a situation reallythink.
Think what's the likelihood ofthis working out?
Because if two or three timesyou've been in a situation that
has hurt you, that has broughtyou stress, suffering, pain, if
you have a slight urge like, well, I want to revisit that,
that can sometimes be your egowanting to get it right this

(03:45):
time.
Or it can be your ego who'smaybe even just feeling a bit
lonely, or maybe your ego isfeeling a bit bored and there's
something exciting, there's alittle carrot over here.
Oh, I can get some momentum orsome excitement today through
this.
That is not the same thing asinspired action.
Inspired action is always goingto direct you towards your

(04:05):
highest good and the highestgood of other people.
So if you're on the fence andit's not just good old standard
issue, fear that's keeping youafraid, because it's new, it's
different, you might beuncomfortable, you have to use
your courage, but it's a feelingof ooh.
This could be interesting.
And this speaks to me today, because maybe I'm lonely, maybe

(04:28):
I'm hungry, maybe I'm tired, maybe I'm bored, and this will
create some momentary excitement.
They are different.
Both could feel exciting intheir own way.
But in situations where youknow right deep down, you know,
I actually don't.
I actually don't think this isa good idea.
Delay, give it some time Veryfew things are urgent and then

(04:53):
just check in with yourself at atime when you feel good, you
feel peaceful, when you feellike, okay, yes, I'm in one of
my wise, mature moods.
Let that version of you decide.
I hope this helps my friends.
Until tomorrow, so much loveand ease.
Hey friend, I've got somethingreally cool for you.
