Have you ever watched someone take dozens of photos, desperately seeking that perfect angle to create an illusion of serenity in a crowded, chaotic tourist spot? During a trip to Santorini last year, I witnessed this phenomenon at an extreme level - influencers sweating in scorching heat, meticulously adjusting every detail for the perfect shot.

This observation sparked a powerful question: Why don't we apply that same dedication to knowing our "angles" in life? While many of us have been conditioned to focus on improving our weaknesses, the most successful people throughout history weren't good at everything. They excelled in one or two specific areas. Constantly trying to shore up weaknesses only dilutes our natural talents and prevents us from making our greatest impact.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
When Heath and I were in Greecelast year, in Santorini, I
don't think I've ever seen somany influencers in one place
taking hundreds of photos.

(00:22):
It's very famous there becauseit's beautiful, the water is
stunning, the buildings arewhite, there's the blue dome, I
mean it's colorful and beautifuland in photos it looks serene.
But if you go there, especiallyin peak season, it is full of
people, it's boiling hot, it'sbustling and people are really
trying to get these angles whereit looks like it's more quiet,

(00:44):
it looks like they've got thecourtyard to themselves, it
looks like they're the onlyperson there enjoying the sunset
, the only person there lookingjust fabulous and free in the
summer.
And I have to say I know, look,we live in this culture where
it is selfies and we do takemultiple photos and we post the
best ones.
And do you remember when socialmedia was newer, we were a bit

(01:06):
more self-conscious about thisstuff, taking videos of
ourselves taking multiplepictures?
It felt kind of vain or it felta little bit self-indulgent,
but now it's utterly commonplace, right?
We just see it again and againand we expect it.
Greece, in particular, thatsummer day I remember going.
Wow, everyone is going out oftheir way like literally

(01:27):
sweating, fixing their hairperfectly to get the shot right.
This is what we would call, insimple photography, knowing your
angles and good for you.
Do like you, you do you.
If that's you, good for you.
I hope you did get that perfectshot.
I wish I had that stamina, Ihave to say.
But this gets me thinking right.

(01:49):
Sometimes we will poureverything our energy, sometimes
our money, we will use all wehave to get the perfect picture,
or many, many people do thisMaybe not you, but you've
observed it.
But what about knowing yourangles in other ways?

(02:10):
I think that sometimes we putso much of a premium on the
physical right how somethinglooks.
But what about knowing yourangles in other, perhaps more
important ways, based on whatyour goals and desires are in
your life?
For example, are you leadingwith your strengths when it
comes to your career?

(02:32):
I believe that we all know whatour strengths are, and we've
been taught that it's importantto instead boost our weaknesses,
work on those areas that wethat in our lives maybe aren't
so great or aren't so polishedor aren't so put together.
What if we ditch that the mostsuccessful people in history

(02:52):
weren't good at everything.
They were often just very goodat one thing or two things.
Now I love to do a lot ofthings as a business owner right
Podcasts, right Courses,memberships.
I love it.
But my mission is really onething being able to elevate
others and show them what can behelping you be, do and have

(03:12):
everything that you want andthat shows up in multiple forms.
I'm not sitting there reallytrying to become an Excel expert
so I can manage my bookkeepingin a way that's utterly perfect.
Luckily, I now have help withthat.
But I'm not behind the scenestrying to figure out all the
perfect equipment or apparatusto get the perfect setup for

(03:33):
something I know that goodenough is, and what matters is
my content, what comes from myheart.
I can lead with my strengths, and so many of us spend so much
of our lives diluting ourstrengths unintentionally by
trying to bolster or boost ourweaker areas.
My friends, this is theequivalent of not knowing your

(03:55):
angles, not knowing your anglesin a photo, right?
Often, some of us, we prefer acertain side, we like our hair a
certain way or we like to standa certain way.
So you know, our body looksnice, my friends.
To me that is so secondary howI look in a photo sure, nice,
cool, yes, it's a nice, have agreat photo.
But I know my angles in reallife.
I know how to pitch the media.

(04:17):
I know how to, I hope, convey amessage that can land with
people.
If someone has a block in theirlife, I know how to bust that
block so they can be, do andhave whatever they care about.
That is knowing my angle as acoach.
So are you knowing your anglesin your life?
Do you know your best pose?
Do you know where you're strong?

(04:37):
Do you know where the outcomeis going to be the best?
To me, not knowing this is acrying shame.
Imagine an influencer who isall about their physical angles,
just ditching it completely andgoing yeah, whatever, I've just
got to work on this or thatother angle to make it better.
No, you just focus on what'sgood and strong, feels good,

(04:58):
makes sense, comes naturally toyou.
Can you know your angles inways that are, in fact, more
important than what takes upoften so much time when it comes
to even just posting on socialmedia?
Let me know what your anglesare.
What are your strengths?

(05:20):
Put simply, what are they.
If you have one, it's enough.
Think about David the shepherdin the Bible, the story of David
and Goliath.
David was a shepherd, a poet,wasn't strong, didn't have
military training, but he wasgood.
With a humble slingshot thatwas enough to make him king.

(05:43):
My friends know your angles.
What are they?
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and ease.
Hey friend, I've got somethingreally cool for you.
