Jason Connell (00:01):
Whoa, just Welcome to Just curious media.
This is let's talk Cobra Kai.
I'm Jason Connell.

Sal Rodriguez (00:11):
And I'm Sal Rodriguez.

Jason Connell (00:12):
All right, so we are back for another episode.

Sal Rodriguez (00:17):
Yes, a special I say special special because a
lot of our episodes are special.
This is even more special thanspecial. Very special. Very
special.

Jason Connell (00:26):
Yes, because we are out of nowhere having
another discussion aboutsomething. It's part two. It's
the Karate Kid and Cobra Kaicollectables, volume two. Yeah,
no sound when we had Volume One,which was super excited. I loved
the episode. It's great. It justrecently came out. But I

(00:47):
thought, well, that'd be it.
We'll revisit this later. Butout of nowhere, something
happened today on my end andyesterday on urine, which put
this in motion. So please, whydon't you explain what that is?

Sal Rodriguez (01:03):
Yes, that is we had a special delivery there.
See, there's more specialspecial delivery from our
friends over at icon heroestoymakers. They make a number of
toys and collectibles and actionfigures. And for our purposes,
namely, karate kid when I saythat, I mean, specifically
Karate Kid, because some makerswill make Cobra Kai action
figures. Or they'll do thesehybrids. In this instance, these

(01:25):
are specifically Karate Kidaction figures. And in the past,
they did Cobra Kai actionfigures. So these are indeed
Karate Kid action figures madeby icon heroes delivered for our
show to us, for us to talk aboutand discuss and maybe have a
promo code for our listeners.

Jason Connell (01:42):
Yeah, super exciting, because I'm not a toy
collector as a child. And theyouth, my youth, I love toys,
Star Wars figures, GI Joefigures, but I beat him up and I
wasn't keeping in box and allthat. But I respect things. And
I like collectibles, you know, different things from movies or
shows. So when you told me Hey,what's your address, they're
gonna send you so I was like, hey, that's kind of cool.

(02:04):
Because yeah, we could do anunpacking, if you will. Not that
we're going to do a full ToyReview, because I don't really
do those. But we can talk aboutthem, present them to our
listeners audio, if the audiolisteners would be as
descriptive as we can be. Andvideo you can watch along. But
also because hey, I made I don'tknow what these are. I don't
know much about these. Butwhatever they are, I may film

(02:25):
something like I could do littlefun things like you do and you
know, helping promote the brand.
Let's talk Cobra Kai and justJust curious me as a whole. So
that that was really cool. Sothanks for thinking of me. And,
and they and they showed upbecause I was like, Well, I'm in
Rhode Island, it's gonna take awhile it just took one more day.
So they were here today, just intime to do this fun unveiling.
I've never done one of these onthe show, or we've never done

(02:48):
one of these on the show. So andyou do this all the time, you're
a pro. I mean, this is yourwheelhouse, like all those toys
behind you, you unpacked all of

Sal Rodriguez (02:57):
its I did. But just to be clear, though, Jason,
you know, there are various waysto do an official toy revoke.
One of those ways is you beingon camera, the host being on
camera themselves. The other wayis just the toy collectible
being on camera, which isactually a little easier.
Because then you're just yourhands, maybe you're focused on
the item, you just do thenarration, it's a little bit

(03:18):
easier as far as logistics. Nowyou and I talking to each other
to Talking Heads. Now we have tointroduce the variable of a
small collectible. So it gets alittle interesting logistically.
So we have to consider wherewe're going to hold these
figures in relationship to thecameras, right? And in
relationship to our own faces.
Yeah,

Jason Connell (03:34):
and I have a small crew over here on mine. I
don't know if

Sal Rodriguez (03:38):
I was standing I'll be bringing the standard
and

Jason Connell (03:40):
now let's be clear, though, this is not a
review. We don't need to get inthe weeds are just gonna have
you know, broad strokes.

Sal Rodriguez (03:47):
It's not it's not an official. Well, as I
mentioned, the Jason before westarted recording, the word
review is open forinterpretation. It's up for
review we reviewed. Yeah, exactly. It's like I've seen and
done reviews in every shape andform. So the fact that you and I
are going to unbox an actionfigure and even talk about it
for that review is indeed areview. Okay. Yeah, it's not

(04:08):
believe me. I got some friendson YouTube. They review stuff
for like an hour. Wow. an hour.
That's a long time. Hey, that'snot let's talk Cobra Kai, that
we're gonna be a little moreYeah,

Jason Connell (04:17):
I didn't call this episode this unboxing
although it's exciting, so I'llput it in the notes. But yeah,
and last week, I've got to saythe last episode, I should say.
It is great. And we do broadstrokes. We talked about the
industry, past, present andfuture how it relates to the
Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, youdid show some collectibles. It
was cool to see how oh, thesehave claws and these have more

(04:39):
points of articulation and thesehave less and I saw a brand that
I didn't really you know, Iwasn't too fond of but I can't
here was just one of the ones Iliked as like hey, they look
good. And in fact it's the onethat we did our You had me do
some voiceover for for a coupleof videos on the cellar door
Rodriguez YouTube page, but it'scorrect

Sal Rodriguez (04:57):
on the Salvador Los Angeles. Sorry,

Jason Connell (04:58):
what'd I say?
Your other channel Yeah.
Salvador Los Angeles correctThank you.

Sal Rodriguez (05:04):
If you go to the Salvador Los Angeles YouTube
channel you will see contentrelated to Cobra Kai and karate
kid you will see action figuresCobra Kai karate Kim and namely
yeah I've made two short filmscalled The Adventures of Daniel
and Johnny Volume One and VolumeTwo Volume One had figures by
neck of volume to add figures byicon heroes so now here we are
today we've come full circlewith more figures by icon heroes

(05:25):
this time not Daniel and JohnnyYes, but Daniel I don't know I
don't know yeah. Oh

Jason Connell (05:31):
yeah. Oh,

Sal Rodriguez (05:32):
don't you know you know

Jason Connell (05:33):
I did? Well, we don't know. Okay, without
further ado, the packaging goesa long way I took it out of the
box not been started to be clearthe outside box not the ship not
the packaging. I got it to thislevel. So let's show people the
really nice packaging. Nofigures yet. So you can see
pretty snazzy there Miyagi doughkarate. That's the

Sal Rodriguez (05:57):
front and then the band the son in the bone
side.

Jason Connell (06:00):
The Banzai trade it's the logo from the original
film it's the back of the gheeand I'll spin it around ever so
slowly I guess you can see thatwell, we'll come back the back
there it is damn practicing meMiyagi and Daniel and it says
I'll go ahead and read what itsays for us.

Sal Rodriguez (06:19):
It says The Karate Kid Mr. Miyagi and Daniel
convention exclusive now whattoy make lane that they will
make? Yeah, convert. I had tolearn this myself. toymakers
will make a version for aconvention like Comic Con. So
this could have been a previousexclusive OR Toy Fair. Probably
not Comic Con but one of therecent because that because this

(06:40):
is recent. Yes. So either theone to come. In fact, I wonder
if it's upcoming Comic Con. Idon't know if it's gonna be
Comic Con. But yeah, this was aconvention exclusive. Just not
certain which convention Yeah,

Jason Connell (06:49):
so let's talk Cobra Kai convention. No one
knows about it yet. So on thesides though, I also like this
yes, there's the crane Daniel'spracticing the crane on the on
the beach on the pole. Says theKarate Kid once again, Mr.
Miyagi and Daniel icon heroes.
There's our logo really slick.
Looks like a video game logolike that. And same on both

(07:11):
sides. And so of course, there'sa warning on the bottom sell.
What? Not a toy. Keep that inmind. So not for persons under
10 years old. And so just FYI,there.

Sal Rodriguez (07:23):
No, wait a second. If a person is under 18
years old. Oh, you're fine. No,but that's interesting. Not for
persons under 18.

Jason Connell (07:32):
I was 10. I suppose. There's a way it can be
18 interest is an

Sal Rodriguez (07:36):
18 and over toys.
That sounds weird. That is verysuccessfully. Okay, so here we
go. Hang on. Hang on. Jason.
There is one more warning. Sincewe're talking about toys hear
something about toys, andparticularly plastic is the
fragility of it. And you have tobe careful. There's even a
warning here in colder climates, the plastic materials tend to
tighten more than normal, causing the joints to be
tighter. If you are experiencingthis issue. Simply dip the heads

(07:57):
and hands in hot water forapproximately 30 seconds and the
joints should loosen up,allowing you to pose the figure
and interchange the heads andhands more easily. So I just
want to warn everybody. I havehad a lot of experience breaking
figures. So please be carefulout there. Anybody opening up a
collectible action figure.
Please be careful. Don't treatthem like toys, unfortunately.
And when it comes to heating,it's often recommended to use

(08:19):
hot water. I use a hairdryer. Ihit him with a hairdryer because
hey, I don't need it. I don'tneed the hairdryer. So I hit the
figures with the hairdryer andthat usually warms up hopefully
we don't have any problemstoday.

Jason Connell (08:29):
That's interesting. That toys deal with
shrinkage too. So I didn't iHey, oh. Okay, here we go. Let's
bust him out. I didn't know thisis gonna open up right away. So

Sal Rodriguez (08:38):
yeah, there's Velcro little Velcro things
there. And that opens up thewindow we got I think I call it
window box pack. I've

Jason Connell (08:45):
got one. Oh, I

Sal Rodriguez (08:46):
see Daniel.
Daniel.

Jason Connell (08:48):
Oh my oh my god, this looks cool. Look at this,
folks. Wow. It's Daniel Miyagi, with like 1000 different hands
to choose from looking at 1000I'm over exaggerating here. But
this is really impressive. Itsays Oh, breathe in. Breathe

(09:09):
out. And what's the right side?
Say? So?

Sal Rodriguez (09:12):
Wax on. wax off.
netwars

Jason Connell (09:15):
right circle.
This is really amazing. How

Sal Rodriguez (09:20):
about beginner luck? Yeah, so

Jason Connell (09:23):
you see me argue there on the left Daniel on the
right. Yeah, and then why don'tyou explain what we're looking
at in the middle. I'll see if Ican open mine up while you

Sal Rodriguez (09:31):
sure we have we have Miyagi in his tan shirt. We
have Daniel in a similar shirt.
In fact, I don't remember Danielhaving a similar shirt to
Miyagi. Maybe I'm forgettingbecause of my cinnamon Asia. But
Daniel has his headband on. Hehas a similar shirt to Miyagi or
the tan work shirt. They're bothwearing pants. They're both
wearing shoes and in the middle.
Yep, we have a number of hands.
Not only different handpositions but hands on the

(09:53):
Sanders hands with a paintbrushup hands with chops sticks hands
with sponges for washing thecar. This is I believe this is
indeed labeled the MiyagiLORUSSO training set like this
is when dad was originally beingtrained by Miyagi. And by the
way, I just just to be clear, wehave talked about a number of

(10:16):
collectibles on the let's talkCobra Kai podcast at this moment
in time, I've yet to see anofficial Daniel and Miyagi
training. Action Figure Set hasnot existed before this very
long. Yeah,

Jason Connell (10:28):
this is really impressive. So and a lot of
little pieces. Maybe that's whythey don't want someone to young
although 18 is a bit excessive.
This is like the all Valley, weshould definitely make it like
under five or whatever. I don'tknow the toy industry. And so
yeah, the more you

Sal Rodriguez (10:44):
look at the toy industry, it's an interesting
industry because they followcertain rules and guidelines.
And I don't even know why theydo it. But speaking of, Oh, I'm
just pulling them out. Yeah. AndI'm pulling them out.

Jason Connell (10:53):
I'm trying to get this thing off. This is why I
really do need a staff. Becausedid you cut it? Or did you just
unwind it? I took it out. I havethis I have this out. So now I
see all the hands all the thingsall the both figures?

Sal Rodriguez (11:06):
Well, Jason, I mean, I just say and I say
unfortunately, figures like thisadult collectible toys aren't
really meant, quote, unquote, tobe taken out of the packaging.
Yeah, you know, the Star Warsschedule. They're like, awesome,
keep it in the box course a lotof collectors are like that. A
lot of adult collectors keepstuff in the box. They're called
mminton, box collectors, mint oncard collectors. I am not one of

(11:29):
them. As you can see by lookingbehind the boxes, I have a few.
I'm like an 8020 80% of mycollection out of the box 20%
inbox. But my point is, theseare made to be kept in the box.
Therefore they're hard to getout of the box. Because not only
is every hand had its own littlepiece of plastic cradle, but the
figures themselves are in therewith a twisty tie that you may

(11:51):
just have to end up cutting. Itwist this by the time I

Jason Connell (11:53):
did have Daniel free. So you take out you take
out Miyagi.

Sal Rodriguez (11:59):
I'll take that's a good that's a good one. I'll
take out Miyagi you take outdead Yeah, exactly.

Jason Connell (12:03):
So here he is.
This is a perturbed Daniel anxnot happy with all the work and
the chores. You know, theyshould all like even the toes
like you could do some specialkicks here. With the moveable
toes. Yeah, this is reallyimpressive. So I have not really
played with or held a toy sincemy youth when I had my Star Wars
and GI Joe but a little stiff inthe joints a little stiff in the

(12:27):
joints. This guy needs carefulMSM Be careful.

Sal Rodriguez (12:31):
Yeah, he needs some blow dryer. or hot water.
Okay, take your pick. Oh,

Jason Connell (12:37):
well hand fell off at the hands
interchangeable.

Sal Rodriguez (12:40):
Hang on, though, did the handbrake No,

Jason Connell (12:41):
no, it just popped off.

Sal Rodriguez (12:42):
Oh, thank God really I'm telling you I've
developed PTSD when it comes tothese because recently on the
Salvatore Los Angeles YouTubechannel I've had two fingers
break on me recently, theKessler werewolf from where I
took his head off to get theother head and then the neck
joint broke. Right on camera. Itwas terrible. It was absolute
terrible. So I'm like so PTSDwith fingers, especially when
we're recording live. I'm like,careful, careful, careful, so I

(13:05):
won't even sometimes articulatethem or even swap heads. Now
there's no additional heads withthis.

Jason Connell (13:09):
Yeah, I was gonna say no, comes off. So the head
comes off. There's a problem.

Sal Rodriguez (13:13):
Well, if the head comes off, you hope it goes back
on. Yeah, that's what you hopeExactly. While we're at it,
Jason just real quick. These arethe other two figures that we
received by icon heroes and theywere featured in The Adventures
of Daniel and John Volume Twothat we did the voices for. And
that is of course JohnnyLawrence and Daniel Russo and I
believe this could be consideredtheir tournament look right.
Would you say yeah, this wasthere at Trinity for all Valley.

(13:36):
Okay, at for all valley look,Daniel and Gianni. Check out
that video on my YouTubechannel. So let's then compare.

Jason Connell (13:43):
Yeah, so no logo so the attire that Daniels
wearing is just a beigenondescript shirt, he does have
on the classic headband, becausehe does put it on in the movie
the 10 points. But beyond that, and the great hair in the
likeness this is a really goodrepresentation of a young Ralph
macho Daniel LORUSSO, but beyondthat, it's kind of like yeah,

(14:04):
there's no logo there's noMiyagi dough outfit that he's he
can't Don that as well becausethese aren't cloth these are
plastic right? So you have somefigures that have a cloth and
probably could change outfitsmore easily.

Sal Rodriguez (14:16):
Yeah, as a matter of fact, I recently did take
another Daniel and Johnny I wasa couple years ago I took Daniel
and Johnny cloth figures tookoff the clothes put an elf Will
Ferrell elfa Johnny and put aSanta outfit on on Daniel and
made them Santa and elf and thatwas great Christmas.

Jason Connell (14:32):
Merry Christmas.

Sal Rodriguez (14:34):
That was for a merry Christmas

Jason Connell (14:36):
every year and celebrates Merry Christmas.

Sal Rodriguez (14:41):
Well I'll tell you guys you know this has been
sort of an all roads lead tothis type of thing for me
because I've been a toycollector for many years been
doing toy videos on YouTube formany years now. Then get
involved with Jason for thelet's talk Cobra Kai podcast.
Then they come out with a CobraKai figures then they come out
with Karate Kid figures. So it'slike the whole thing comes full
circle for me. So this isdefinitely me. I guess I hate to
say meat eking out live and inperson and that's

Jason Connell (15:03):
like wherever I live I'm by some sort of
location from the Karate Kidfrom Los Angeles to Miracle Mile
to move into the Boston area byThe Next Karate Kid so yeah, we
both have our run and you knowrough Matsuo coming to Tulsa
when I was a kid making theoutsiders so many parallels. So
I have Miyagi free now to bothnights are free and I can see so

(15:27):
for those who can see thisDaniels a little taller, maybe

Sal Rodriguez (15:32):
close we should be taller but he's not taller by
much not on these

Jason Connell (15:36):
Miyagi let me get a good look at him. Looks pretty
wise. Looks pretty good. Yaknow, he's got his outfit on.
Interesting way they do thewaist. That's a high waist,
you're moving up here below thechest cavity, but you're also
moving out the way so it's likea lot of how many points of
articulation is a sound, this isa lot.

Sal Rodriguez (15:57):
Well, if you count each one, we got the neck,
we got the shoulder we got theupper arm slice, that's then 123
Then we got a double jointedelbow. That's four and five.
Then we got a wrist, that's sixand then times two. And then we
have the 10 so that makes it 11And then two at the waist 1213
Each one at the hip 1415 Doublejointed knee 1617 1819 And then

(16:20):
the ankle 2021 And then the thetoes 2223. So I'm counting 23
but may have missed one or two, that's believable. That's more
than you articulation that thefingers can articulate more than
I can. That's absolutely true.
And since we're here since we'rehere, let's just have a look at
the NECA Mr. Miyagi and now theicon heroes Mr. Miyagi, I would

(16:40):
say that the icon here is alittle more flattering a little
slimmer. Yep, a little bit of aslimmer look.

Jason Connell (16:48):
Yeah, well I almost think these aren't they
can only go so close with thistype of toy, but it's maybe more
durable the points ofarticulation you talked about
the other one you just held updefinitely has more of a
resemblance to Mr. Miyagi Iwould say yeah, yeah that one
there but he might not be ableto do as much I mean this

Sal Rodriguez (17:06):
well you have a bigger head when you have a
bigger head you can do more youfill the frame more. That's
yeah, there you go. You have alarger surface these figures by
icon heroes I will saydefinitively would probably be
the stop motion. Yes. Filmmakerschoice. Yeah, in fact, I would
say that the best stop motionfilm on YouTube made for Toy
collectors for stop motion wasfeaturing the icon heroes Daniel

(17:30):
and Johnny are very talentedstop motion artists. He did a
great fight sequence. It'sfantastic. So yeah, if you want
to do anything stop motion, you're probably going to go icon
heroes. But meanwhile, you know, the other ones are great too.
But people call you know, peoplecall these these kind of
figures, adults. And a lot oftoy collectors I've asked not a
doll. It's an action figure. Butit looks like a doll but it has
closed so you know, it's allopen for intermediate action

(17:52):
figures. These are definitivelyin fact I would probably if
somebody called the NECA Miyagia doll I probably would not
argue much but if you were tocall the icon heroes figures
dolls, I would probably put upan argument Yeah, I would
probably would. Let's call theseare definitively action figures
just

Jason Connell (18:09):
because I'm not going to take all these guys out
but just looking at this reallyquickly before we move on. So
there's also the buckets that heworks with. There's the paint
bucket there's the Sanders asyou said, is that a mop bucket?
And it's tough to see what thereflection so you kind of got to
angle it but you know there's apaintbrush everything both
Sanders right left like you saidthere's a fist punching What's

Sal Rodriguez (18:32):
the thing on the on the lowest left lower left?

Jason Connell (18:34):
I thought that was one of the Sanders but I'm
not ignore the Sanders are onthe hill. I know. I thought that
was like a loose one. I'm notexactly sure

Sal Rodriguez (18:41):
what that is.
It's something I can't tell whatit is. Oh, car wax, Turtle

Jason Connell (18:44):
Wax Turtle Wax.
There we go. So he also has afist. So you know, eventually he
has that moment of clarity. LikeJason Bourne is like, Oh, I know
all of this now, you know, wonderful moments. So I think
you could go through that andyou're going to see Sal,
probably some good stopanimation, stop motion animation
on YouTube with these figures.
How long have these figures beenout? Is this relatively new

(19:07):
release for icon heroes?

Sal Rodriguez (19:08):
That I do not know. I just found out about
them. Within the last few weeks,I contacted icon heroes, my
friend, new friend Pat Wang, asa patent remember me? Let's talk
Cobra Kai membro you gave us theother figures. Remember, we met
I showed him links. I wanted torefresh his memory of who we
were. I didn't get that. Andhe's like, yeah, right away. He
was like, absolutely. I go hey,you want us to have a look at

(19:29):
the Miyagi Lusa Tupac? He said, absolutely. I said, Here's my
address. Here's Jason's address.
And here we go. So yeah, they'vebeen very kind to us. This is a
great set lots of accessories.
This will be the choice for stopmotion filmmakers. Absolutely. A
wonderful rendition and homage Ialways like that word, homage,
wonderful homage tip of the hatto LORUSSO and Miyagi and

(19:50):
especially to our dearlydeparted friend. Pat Marini is a
beautiful rendition and speaking

Jason Connell (19:55):
of that, because we talked about likeness on
volume one, you know, no mentionof their real names. on anything
it's character names becausethey don't own it, you know, we
know who they're representing orwho the actors were, but no
mention so I'm assuming mostlikely in all likelihood it's
not George Lucas. We're talkingabout here. No royalties going
down to patent Raiders family orRoth match or you just don't

(20:17):
know you have no idea of thebreakdown.

Sal Rodriguez (20:20):
I don't know how that works. I do know that
licensing is a big thing in toymaking. Absolutely. So it's like
who owns the rights like forrecently for you toy collectors
out there. You know how hard itwas to get a decent Bela Lugosi
Dracula action Friday, becauseapparently the Lugosi est was
like really tight they didn'twant to let out the likeness and
so you literally couldn't for awhile get a Bela Lugosi figure

(20:42):
recently they opened up thelicensing and you get some good
Bela Lugosi stuff now sosimilarly, who knows what it's
like whoever owns the rights tothe marina estate Yeah. And how
that factors into His likenessas it relates to Mr. Miyagi.
Because you have these thingshow would like the WWE, you know
that those names in the WWE likeHulk Hogan, like I don't think
Hulk Hogan can go around in hisoutfit and be Hulkamania that's

(21:04):
like copyrighted to

Jason Connell (21:05):
go back one second. You did meet the widow
of Pat Merida.

Sal Rodriguez (21:10):
I did. I did me I forgot about that. Yeah, I did.
I was working at a newspaper atthe time. And we would do these
fictitious business namestatements doing business as
listings you have to put that inthe newspaper or at least you
did have to at one time, and shewalked in, and I noticed her
last name was Maria, I think youand I had already been doing the
podcast already. Okay. Yeah. AndI think I said to her and I
wasn't expecting a yes, but Isaid hey, are you related to pet

(21:32):
Marina? And I told her about thepodcast she's like, absolutely.
I am. I'm one of his ex wives. Iguess he had maybe a couple I
haven't kept track of his of hismarriages but yeah, I and I
researched afterwards I do I didwant to prove that was indeed
Pat marinas ex wife that I metYeah,

Jason Connell (21:46):
well next time you see her ask her if she gets
any kickbacks royalties on thesales of the merchandise or the

Sal Rodriguez (21:54):
assumed or the I would I would never I don't know
I would know my what I mean is Iwould never assume that the that
the state gets royalties. Do youknow about the Bob Ross remember
that guy that would paint halfwell he didn't they made
merchandise. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Okay, so there's a big
thing in the toy world becauseapparently none of the toys that
have the Bob Ross likeness goesto the Bob Ross family or estate

(22:16):
it goes to like the managementcompany or something. So a lot
of like boycotting actualboycotting of toys because like
listen, I don't want to supportthem and all that so I hope I
hope that nothing like that goeson in the Karate Kid or Cobra
Kai world.

Jason Connell (22:28):
Well, let's give a shout out to my icon heroes
and let's please share thiswonderful gift discount code
that they want to bestow uponour listeners and fans. So Sal,
why don't you once you do theplug because you have the
relationship with them?

Sal Rodriguez (22:44):
Yes, thank you icon heroes has been very
generous with our show giving usaction figures that we've used
in our content. And now here weare reviewing it on one of our
shows. All of our listeners allof our fans welcome to go to
icon heroes.com Look for theMiyagi LORUSSO training. action
figure two pack when you makeyour purchase put in Miyagi 35

(23:04):
That's all capitals Miyagi 35and receive I couldn't believe
this receive 35% off the priceof the Miyagi La Russa Tupac
that's a great offer. I wassurprised at the generosity of
that offered off so thank youicon heroes. And thank you, Pat
look forward to talking again.

Jason Connell (23:21):
Yes. And for those exclusive fans. Type in
Miyagi. 100 for 100% off, okay, this is the one time deal. No,
don't

Sal Rodriguez (23:32):
be like a gift that never any gift card that I
have. Just punch in whateveramount you want. I want 75% off.
There we go.

Jason Connell (23:39):
Yeah, that's really really cool. Thank you
icon heroes a pleasure to havethis in my small but growing toy
collection. And we can use theseto who knows there could be some
fun stop motion stills videos.
I'm sure you'll come up withsome insights in your
wheelhouse. I just think it'scool. It was fun to come on here
and talk about. I also wanted toplug one thing off. Yeah, toys

(24:01):
and collectibles for just onesecond, something new on the
just curious Media website. Andthat is on all of our shows.
Now. You can go on there if youwanted to pull a quote or hear
what we said or like see what wesaid, because sometimes it's
like, oh, man, we have so manyepisodes now. But all of our
transcripts are on the website.

(24:26):
They're linkable. Very cool. Atsome point, I'm probably going
to put them into the show notes.
But this is a whole new thing.
And our transcripts are moreinteractive. And Sal why don't
you explain that and I'll saywho they're powered by but
please your interpretationbecause I saw you looked at him
the other day and really likedhim.

Sal Rodriguez (24:42):
Yeah, did you sent me a note saying Hey, check
this out. And I hadn't seen itbefore I checked it out. And it
was so cool and interesting toread our show. Exactly where you
and I I was reading us. It wasit was very cool. And even where
there were AI errors hilarious.
Yeah. Hilarious. I actually gota kick reading our stuff. So
believe me, anybody out therethat wants to read our stuff?

(25:04):
Maybe people who are hearingimpaired possibly want to read
the shows that Yes. Hey, pleaseeverybody. I think it's a
wonderful resource. And as Isaid to Jason before it meets
the It's the intersection ofcool and practical, because I
like cool things that areuseful. Yeah. And practical,
like action figures like thesethings. Yeah, like dolt. Yeah.
So

Jason Connell (25:25):
it is powered by otter AI, I was going to do real
transcripts of every episode.
And I realized, wow, it's veryexpensive time and deuces and we
have a lot of episodes. And nowI'm doing X amount of weeks. So
I spent the time and did otterAI on every single transcript.
And then you had to think howyou're going to do this. So I
linked them. And so if you go toour website, just curious

(25:47):
media.com and go down to eachshow individual, it'll say
transcripts, just click thatbutton, and it takes you to a
special page that I've made thathouses each Show, episode by
episode, they're inchronological order, but it is
all the way down. You click onit, you don't just see and read
us what's cool sounds, you clicka button. And it also plays

(26:08):
along. And that is such a coolfact. Wow. So you will see typos
because it's about 80 85%accurate. I knew that going in,
but you can click it. And theyhave embedded. It's not as high
quality as our stuff because youknow, they're processing it. And
the mp3 is a little bit lowerprofile. But it's meant there

(26:28):
just to be a tool. So you canread it, and you see it going
along and you hear it if youwant to do it. When you say Hear
it. You mean hearing our showhere you can hear and read at
the same time. It's okay, not an

Sal Rodriguez (26:40):
AI voice. I thought you meant an AI. Oh, no,
it's us.

Jason Connell (26:43):
Sorry. It's us.
And it's really cool. I likethat angle. And it's like, you
know what, that's cool. And ifthere was a real bad typo, which
really neat, I can go in thereand correct it. Or if I play a
video or clip, it gets confused.
So I have to go there and sayno, that's media. That's not us.
But you can go in there, I canmake a change in the link stays
the same. So I really liked theflexibility. Like you said

(27:05):
practical mates. What was itcool? Yeah, it is cool. It's
hip. It's cool. So every one ofour shows has that it's kind of
like a blog. And so even for us,it's like oh man, did I say that
in season four, episode three?
Well, I'd have to scrub thewhole you know, actual file to
maybe find it well now you and Ican be like oh no, we can pull

(27:26):
quotes from ourselves or theother shows let's talk movies.
That's a crime Doggone it helpswith SEO and thanks so I just
think it's neat. Anybody wantsto quote us or pool something go
there go to just curiousmedia.com Go down to
transcripts. And also if you'reon YouTube Live click the closed
caption button and it'sautomatically you know, creates

(27:46):
closed caption which I also loveI've kind of gotten used to
watching things online you likeand seeing it and it can be
really cool if it's integratednicely so kudos there a lot of
fun had to do that blog. Andthat's really all I got. So it
was a lot of fun having yetanother The Karate Kid and Cobra
Kai collectibles, Volume Twotons of fun and thank you again

(28:10):
to let me hold them up. Iconheroes.
