Ever wondered why some divine promises seem perpetually stuck on "pending" status? That uncomfortable feeling of restlessness when God's timeline doesn't match yours isn't just frustrating—it might actually be disconnecting you from the very breakthroughs you're waiting for.

This episode explores the profound connection between patience and spiritual power. Using the analogy of a power switch, we discover how impatience can effectively cut us off from experiencing God's provision—not because the power isn't available, but because we've disconnected ourselves through frustration and unbelief. With insights from Galatians 6:9, we learn that perseverance isn't just passive waiting but an active stance of courage that keeps us connected to divine possibilities.

What makes Noah's story so remarkable wasn't just the scale of his construction project, but his willingness to remain connected to God's instructions despite never having seen rain. His experience illustrates how we function as citizens of God's Kingdom while navigating the constraints of time and space. Our temporal existence creates the perfect environment for developing patience—a virtue that can only be cultivated in the gap between promise and fulfillment. Whether you're waiting for answers, breakthrough, or resolution, this message offers practical wisdom on maintaining your spiritual connection during seasons of apparent delay. The good news? The Holy Spirit produces patience as fruit in our lives, enabling us to stay plugged in until God's appointed time arrives.

Ready to transform your relationship with waiting? Listen now and discover how patience might be the missing key to unlocking God's promises in your life. Have thoughts or questions? We'd love to hear from you at lifearoundthefire@gmail.com!

Speaker 1 (00:02):
I was recently going through this kind of a review in
my mind concerning some of thethings that I had heard the Lord
speak to me about and the factthat they hadn't taken place yet
, and I want to underscore, yet.

(00:25):
But as I was thinking aboutsome of these things, that whole
aspect of patience came intoplay and I had to admit that
there were some things that Iwas impatient about, that I was

(00:46):
being, you know, feeling, beingagitated on the inside, that
impatient feeling of just it'snot happening yet and there's a
frustration and there canactually be an anger.
That's there and it's anuncomfortable feeling, and it

(01:08):
creates an uncomfortable feelingfor other people as well when
we're impatient.
And so I was looking at thatand I came upon this passage in
the book of Galatians Galatians, chapter 6, specifically verse 9

(01:34):
.
And the Apostle Paul says inhis exhortation to this group of
people he said and let us notlose heart and grow weary and
faint in acting nobly and doingright, for in due time and at

(01:59):
the appointed season, we shallreap.
If we do not loosen and relaxour courage and faint.
Wow, in due time and at theappointed season, we shall reap

(02:23):
if right, if we don't getimpatient if we don't lose our
patience and just quit and justsay, ah, forget it, and we cut
off the supply, we turn theswitch off.
It's not an issue whether ornot there's power, it's just the

(02:50):
power has been turned off byimpatience and a decision to say
forget about it.
Interesting how there could beall the power available, how
there could be all the poweravailable, but there's a need

(03:15):
for us to keep it connected andpatience is one of those points
of faith.
It is this aspect of actuallycourage to believe.
Sometimes it takes courage tobelieve in things that we're not

(03:36):
seeing take place yet, becauseit can.
To an outsider's viewpoint, itcan look foolish.
Like what are you waiting for?
Like Noah and the ark how thepeople around him were
ridiculing him because they hadnever seen rain and he was

(04:00):
talking about rain and it hadn'thappened yet.
Now Noah could have given up.
He didn't, but he could have.
And he gives us an example ofwhat it really means to
persevere and to keep thingsconnected to the power supply,

(04:24):
meaning God.
God is our power supply, hiskingdom is our power supply and
his kingdom is designed to comefrom the invisible and manifest
into the visible, To come fromthe eternal realm into the realm
of time and space that we livein, and that's really the rub

(04:48):
man.
That's really where things kindof meet, where we live in a
past, present and future way oflife, whereas in eternity
everything is now.
Everything is now, and so forus to grow in patience, this is

(05:18):
the only place that we can dothat.
Earth is the only place in timeand space is the only realm in
which we can do that.
Earth is the only place in timeand space is the only realm in
which we can actually developthese things.
Otherwise they're just thereBecause it's all now.
It really doesn't take patienceif everything happens at the

(05:42):
speed of thought, but ifeverything happens at the speed
of thought.
But when we deal with past, present and future, time
provides us delays or seemingdelays should be a real

(06:02):
challenge for all of us, any ofus, because it's part of the
experience of living in therealm of time and space.
But when we function ascitizens of the kingdom and we

(06:26):
realize that the provision hasalready taken place, it's just
how it's going to manifest inthe here and now, in the realm
of time and space, and if wedon't cut the connection off, it
will take place.

(06:48):
The word of god will accomplishwhat he said it would
accomplish.
I mean, if not through us, it'sgoing to be accomplished.
It's going to be accomplished, but if it's going to be
accomplished through us, it'sgoing to require faith, and in
faith, sometimes there's a needfor us to be patient.

(07:10):
And so, as a point ofencouragement to you, I want to
encourage you in your particularplace in life right now,
whatever it is that you might befacing, that if you're

(07:31):
challenged with something thatrequires patience I'm going to
read it again From Galatians 6,verse 9, the Apostle Paul said
and let us not lose heart andgrow weary and faint in acting
nobly and doing right, for indue time and at the appointed

(07:53):
season, we shall reap if we donot loosen and relax our courage
and faint.
Let's pray, father, I thank you,and faint, let's pray, father,
I thank you that you, by yourSpirit, give to us the fruit of

(08:15):
patience, and in love there ispatience and Holy Spirit.
I ask that you manifest withinour life the ability to be
patient and not lose heart, goweary and faint, drop our
courage, for that we would becourageous, full of faith,

(08:40):
holding on to the promises thatyou've given and saying that
they are in Jesus.
Yes and amen.
And so, in his name, we say yesand amen, amen, amen, amen,
amen.
All right, folks, I love you.
