Have you ever noticed that pivotal moment when something long-discussed finally becomes reality? That threshold where anticipation transforms into present experience? This profound transition lies at the heart of our spiritual journey today.

Drawing from four decades of officiating weddings, I've witnessed countless couples cross this threshold—their expressions revealing everything from wonder to apprehension as theoretical commitment becomes lived reality. This same dynamic is unfolding spiritually on a global scale right now. The divine manifestation prophesied for generations isn't approaching—it has begun. We're standing in the early currents of God's unprecedented movement on Earth.

Many miss divine moments because they arrive differently than expected. When Jesus came as Messiah, religious experts overlooked him because he didn't match their preconceived notions. God is utterly original—not a duplicate of past movements—and His originality often confounds expectations. Consider the Last Supper where Jesus said, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer." This wasn't mere preparation but the fulfillment of prophecy—the moment when the new covenant was established through His blood.

What does this mean for us? We must develop spiritual discernment that transcends our expectations. The question isn't whether God is moving but whether we can recognize His movement. Will we be like those who missed the Messiah because He came differently than imagined? Or will we embrace God's present reality with open hearts? The water isn't over our heads yet, but it's rising. The time for preparation has given way to participation in what God is doing now.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
You know, over the course of the past 40 years,
I've had the real privilege ofofficiating in a lot of weddings
.
Man, I've been invited to kindof help tie the knot.
You know the will, you won'tyou do, you don't you the whole
wedding ceremony.
And really it's been an honorbecause leading up to it, I've

(00:27):
had the opportunity of spendingtime with the couple that's
going to be getting married, andthat's always to me a very
important time, but also anenjoyable time, because you get
to know people on a differentlevel.
You get to know people on adifferent level, and part of the
reason behind that is they'rebeing really asked by me to

(00:54):
evaluate exactly what it is thatthey're doing and for them to
write it down and for me to readwhat they have said concerning
their understanding of marriage, because we all come into

(01:16):
relationships with a variety ofdifferent viewpoints and
sometimes those viewpoints matchand sometimes they don't, and
sometimes they're realistic andother times they're not, and so

(01:37):
it really helps me to understandwhat it is that people
understand about marriage andabout that type of relationship.
And I won't get into it now,but I've had a variety of
different viewpoints and some ofthem have been really, I mean
incredibly inspiring, and othershave been.
I mean, I've been.

(01:58):
I had to sit down with a coupleand say I got to tell you, man,
I'm concerned, I really don'tknow if the two of you are best
for each other because of yourview on marriage and
relationships.

(02:18):
Because, right, if we don't seeeye to eye on something that
significant odds are, we becomea statistic down the road, and
that statistic involves divorce.
Because if there's anyrelationship that can bring out

(02:40):
the best and also the worst insomeone, it's marriage, because
it's such a unique relationshipin the fact that you are saying

(03:00):
that you're committing yourselfto that one person and you're
committing all of yourself tothat one person and you're
committing all of yourself tothat one person and you're
leaving all other options alone.
That airtight type ofrelationship can be very

(03:34):
comforting or it can besuffocating.
It all depends upon the personand the people involved.
Because if it's unhealthy, wow,you talk about the feeling of

(03:55):
being stuck or the feeling ofjust settling, or the feeling of
making a huge mistake.
Man, that's a reality.
Man, that's a reality.
But also it can be somethingreally, again, very significant,

(04:21):
because it's so reassuring toknow that you have someone who
loves, rest of your life withthem and see them become who all
they've been designed by God tobe, and it's your commitment to
help them become that, and viceversa, where you climb the
mountain together, helping eachother along the way.

(04:44):
That's powerful and that sensethat you could depend upon
somebody, man.
There's something significantabout that aspect of trust.
When there's that type of trustthe basis of love, man, it just
takes on that whole richer, deeper meaning, and so there's

(05:09):
that element to it as well.
Right, and I really seen, and itkind of gets to the point where
we're at in this particularpodcast series and in this
particular episode, and that isthat there comes a time and you

(05:30):
know, timing is everything butthere comes a time where what
you talked about in the past, about what was going to be in
the future, is now the present.
It is the now.

(05:51):
The past has now become the now, the time has come right.
And so, in a marriage or in awedding, the time comes, the
time has come for you to becomeone, joined together as one.

(06:12):
And the look that I havereceived from some people at
that very time, when theyrealize that this is really
happening, this is now happening.
What I thought about before isnow here and it's a reality, and

(06:39):
I see the look that's on thefaces of those individuals.
Sometimes it is a look ofabsolute wonder.
Sometimes it's a look of justreally seriousness, like taking
this seriously.
Sometimes it's joy, sometimesit's a little bit of just like

(07:04):
let's get this over with.
You know, the looks can differ, but the reality is the time
comes when your talk about themarriage is over and you're
going to get married.
Married, just like in otheraspects of life, you hear about

(07:30):
things and you talk about thingsthat are going to be taking
place, but there comes a time Infact, right now we are in one
of those times.
We are in the time in which Godis revealing himself on planet
Earth in a very significant way,in a very sovereign way that

(07:52):
has been prophesied about forseveral decades, concerning a
move of God's Spirit that wasgoing to come upon this planet
that is going to supersedeanything we've ever seen before.
And we are in that time rightnow.
It's not on its way, it's here,we are in it.

(08:15):
Granted, we are in the earlystages.
The water isn't over our head,so to speak, but it's rising.
The Spirit of God ismanifesting the presence of
Jesus and Jesus revealing theFather in a greater way than has

(08:36):
ever been seen, and that isrising Now.
What we're seeing now hashappened before, but what we're
about to see unfold is going tobe even more, but we are here in
it now.
It's not on the way we're here.

(08:57):
God is doing what he promisedhe's going to do, and that is to
reveal himself, because heloves us and wants us to know
who he really is, not thingsabout him, what other people say
, but what he has said and whohe really is, because it's one

(09:17):
thing to hear about somebody andit's another thing to really
meet them for who they reallyare.
And now is a time in which Godhas chosen to manifest himself
in a very real, significant way, taking things beyond question

(09:42):
as to who it is that's beingrevealed, and it is God himself,
god Mosai.
So get ready.
Get ready for more, but thefact that the time has come,
just like in preparing for awedding or a marriage, the time

(10:03):
has come, just like in preparingfor a wedding or a marriage.
The time comes, and there's aparticular portion in the
scriptures where we read aboutthe fact that the time had come.
It had been prophesied forhundreds of years concerning the

(10:30):
Messiah coming, one who wouldcome from God and be the Savior
of Israel, let alone mankind whowould be Messiah, and people

(11:00):
had been talking about it comingfor centuries.
But that's what they had talkedabout.
It would be coming, it's on theway it's coming, and sometimes
it seems like that's all we everhear.
It's going to be like this, andwe become prisoners of hope,

(11:23):
almost where we start to justkind of let those things go by
the wayside.
We don't really pay that muchattention to them anymore.
It's like, yeah, I've heardthat before.
Yeah, yeah, we've heard that,we've heard that.

(11:43):
Yeah, and've heard that before.
Yeah, yeah, we've heard that,we've heard that.
Yeah, and it becomes passe, orat least it can be.
And yet God has chosen to dothings that way for a reason,

(12:08):
and that is because it revealsour heart.
Sometimes, things that offendour mind actually reveal our
heart.
That offend our mind actuallyreveal our heart, and there are

(12:30):
times where God will offend ourmind to reveal our heart,
because he wants to get at ourheart, because that's where
relationship really is.
That's where relationship comesfrom.
It comes from the heart andthen it flows from there, but it

(12:50):
has to start from the heart.
But a time comes, and the timecame in which the Messiah
arrived.
What people have been talkingabout for years has finally come

(13:10):
, and some people couldn'trecognize it.
They didn't recognize it at allbecause it didn't come like
they thought it would.
And that's a word to the wisefor us to beware that we don't
have preconceived notions as tohow God's going to do something,
because oftentimes it's notthat way.

(13:36):
He is God and he is holy, meaning he's original.
He's not a knockoff onsomething that's been done
before.
He is original and he'sunfolding his plan.

(13:58):
And the time has come for us toexperience more than what we've
experienced previously, becauseGod is a God of increase
Hallelujah, god of life.
But in even the coming of theMessiah, the fact that he was

(14:26):
there, there were certain thingsthat hadn't taken place, that
needed to take place, and sothey were unfolding, even while
he was here on planet earth, tofulfill the promise of him
coming.
And in his coming there werethings that were part of what he

(14:56):
would provide, and one of thosethings that he would provide
had been talked about.
And now the time had come, andthere's a passage of Scripture

(15:19):
found in Luke, chapter 22, verse15, that I'm going to read to
you.
And I'm going to read it from avariety of translations,
because each one of thesetranslations has a little
different slant in theinterpretation of this

(15:40):
particular statement that Jesusmade concerning something very
important, and it concerned theLast Supper, or the covenant
meal that he was going to havewith his disciples and, in
essence, with us.
He cut covenant, a new covenant, the highest form of

(16:05):
relationship and the highestform of covenant, blood covenant
.
He cut a covenant, a promise, arelational commitment to us
deeper than even marriage, butat least as deep.

(16:27):
And part of the covenantinvolved eating a meal together,
a covenant meal, and that wouldbe none other than the Passover
meal.
It had been for centuries, celebrated, participated in,

(16:54):
observed, and there was someunderstanding concerning its
importance and its meaning.
But there were certain thingsthat were yet a mystery, and

(17:15):
Jesus was unveiling that mystery, unveiling that mystery.
And so in Luke 22, verse 15, hesaid concerning this supper, he
goes with desire I have desiredto eat this Passover with you

(17:38):
before I suffer with you beforeI suffer.
That's out of the King James 21.
American Standard Version saysand he said unto them with

(17:59):
desire I have desire to eat thisPassover with you before I
suffer.
The Amplified Version says hesaid to them.
The AMPC says and he said tothem I have earnestly and

(18:25):
intensely desired to eat thisPassover with you before I
suffer.
The BRG version, a lot ofversions said, and he said unto
them with desire I have desireto eat this Passover with you
before I suffer the CSB.

(18:47):
And he said to them I havefervently desire to eat this
Passover with you before Isuffer the CJB.
And he said to them I havereally wanted so much to
celebrate this cedar with youbefore I die Cedar, I should say

(19:09):
the cedar meal before I die.
And he said to them I havereally wanted so much to
celebrate this Seder with youbefore I die.

(19:34):
The Phillips translation saidThen, when the time came, he
took his seat at the table withthe apostles and spoke to them
With all my heart, I have longedto eat this Passover with you
before the time comes for me tosuffer.
Believe me, I shall not eatthis Passover again until all

(19:55):
that it means is fulfilled inthe kingdom of God, that it
means it's fulfilled in thekingdom of God.
Now, that's powerful, the factthat he, jesus, wanted to eat
what's the equivalent of hislast meal before he died with

(20:25):
the people that he loved.
And it was a meal.
That was an interestingpresentation because it has a
variety of things in it that youwouldn't normally consider to
be part of.
You know, your last request fora meal to have with your

(20:48):
friends Bitter herbs, thingsbeing prepared in a way that
would indicate that you're goingto be packing up and leaving
soon.
So you really didn't havethings laid out in a way where

(21:09):
you'd set the table, it was morelike eat and go.
But jesus said this is what Iwanted to do.
More than anything, I fervently, earnestly, with all my heart,
desired to do this before Isuffer, before I die.

(21:32):
Now, there are so many things tounpack in that verse alone, but
one of the things that we areunpacking is the fact that the
time came.
The time had come, the time wasat hand for the covenant to be
cut.
The new covenant in the bloodof Jesus was to be cut on behalf

(22:03):
of all mankind.
The blood of the sinless onewas going to be shed as the seal
of the meal.
Sealing the covenant, sealingthe covenant, sealing the
promise of relationship with Godand forgiveness, cleansing,

(22:33):
remission, remittance of all oursin, giving us access to God's
kingdom and to his heart, thesame way that Jesus had access

(22:54):
to the kingdom and to the heartof the Father Powerful.
We couldn't do it on our own,but Jesus cut the covenant and
he said I earnestly want to dothis.
That's an act of love, but also, the time came.
It wasn't about to happen.
You know some things.

(23:14):
The time comes.
The time comes.
The time for talking about itcoming is over.
The time for talking about itbeing here is now.
Praise God, yeah, but I thoughtyou know that's what would last

(23:47):
meal.
You know, just a sidebar Jesusin his last meal, in his last
meal, wanted to do this.
What would your last meal say?
You had a last meal tocelebrate.
How would you want that to godown?

(24:11):
You know there's folks rightnow on death row who in America,

(24:34):
in many states they have anopportunity to have their last
request for their last mealbefore they're executed, and I
looked up a list of 25 of thejust a variety of things that

(24:57):
people have asked for their lastmeal around the world, and
there's a man by the name ofDavid Leon Woods, and he didn't
ask for anything fancy or out ofthe ordinary, he just wanted a
birthday cake.
What's the catch?

(25:19):
He didn't even have a birthday.
He might have just wanted toenjoy life one more time.
Just a birthday cake.
Andrew Lackey.
Lackey chose an odd mix when heput together his death request
in Alabama in 2013.
Turkey, bologna, french friesand grilled cheese.

(25:41):
Doesn't that sound like alast-minute fridge raid?
You know, raid the refrigeratorone last time.
Ajmal Kasab Tomatoes, one withtomatoes.
Elton Coleman Ajmal Kassabtomatoes I wanted with tomatoes.
Elton Coleman fried chickenbiscuits and a sweet potato pie

(26:06):
were served at Coleman's lastrequest.
Liddell Lee Lee made the samechoice as Caseman above, only
that he asked for communion, assimple as possible, because the

(26:27):
man before him, an Irish rebel, before he died, had come into
faith in Christ and all hewanted was communion.
Timothy McVeigh, the bomber inthe Oklahoma City, asked for two

(26:48):
pints of mint chocolate chipice cream.
Strange, right, there's so manythings, but there's two, two
more.
Philip Workman.
Workman turned down a meal andasked for a veggie pizza be

(27:09):
given to the homeless instead.
James Edward Smith.
Smith's strange request was toget a piece of dirt.
You know again what people canrequest at their last meal is

(27:32):
rather telling, rather telling.
And Jesus, in his last meal, wanted to secure relationship
with you and me, and he did soby shedding his blood.

(27:56):
I mean, you talk about makingsure that something is secure.
You seal it in the greatestpossible way.
And the greatest possible wayJesus could seal this covenant
meal would be blood, but notjust any blood.

(28:19):
It would be his blood, sinless, pure, holy, human blood, shed
so that we could haveforgiveness of sin and freedom

(28:40):
from the bondage of sin anddeath no longer having dominion
over us.
But we be having given wehaving been given the free gift
of God eternal life throughChrist Jesus, because not only

(29:00):
did he die, he rose from thedead, defeating death, giving to
us the ability to do the sameand to walk like him.
The time has come.
The time has come for us towalk like him.
Time has come for me to walklike him in a greater way,

(29:24):
because the way has been made, more is available to what Jesus
has secured for us through theresurrection of the dead.
That's available to us now thatwe have experienced, up to this
point in time, anyone.
There's more available, and Godis unfolding what that is, and

(29:49):
it's the result of the cross andthe resurrection and the
ascension of Jesus, but it's thegifts that he's given to men
that are enacted right now, andthe time is now.
Let's pray.
Father, I thank you that youreveal to us the timing of

(30:15):
things, you show us your planand your purposes when it's time
.
Hallelujah, we honor you asking of the universe and look

(30:36):
forward to the great revelationof your presence.
I hunger for more Lord, andeven when your presence is so
strong that it feels as though Ineed it to stop, please don't
stop, lord, but more, more Lord,More Of you, more love, more

(30:57):
power, more of you in our life.
Sincerely, holy Spirit, wehonor you and give you free
reign to achieve these things tous and through us, in the very
powerful name of Jesus, we standhere and we pray in his name

(31:19):
and say Amen, amen, amen, amen.
