God gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to be the servants of the Body of Christ; to equip them for the work of service. Everyone in Christ's family is to have a servant's heart. Show Notes: • God is laying a foundation of a servant's heart within His people. • David was a man after God's own heart because he has a humble servant's heart. • It's the heart of a servant that is in tune with the heart of God. References: Acts 6:1-6 Ephesians 4:11-16 Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king; to whom also he bare witness and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who shall do all my will. Deuteronomy 15:17 then thou shalt take an awl and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant forever. And also unto thy maid-servant, thou shalt do likewise. Quotes: • How many people do you know that aspire to be a deacon, a servant? • God moves in the humble heart of a servant. • He has taken his mind, his thoughts, his ideas, and got rid of them; and he says,” I'm here to serve.” Take Away: God is bringing forth in this day a true heart of a servant in His people. It's the humble heart in the servant that knows the will of God today and is walking it out.
