be in what are the signs. And knowing
displacement
reveals
where you need to really support yourself in

By

(01:26):
releasing negative thought patterns like self doubt and
poor self worth. And I am
looking forward to this conversation with our guests
today, her name is Lisa ta here. And
she's a licensed therapist,
the founder of Psycho astrology
and the author of the ky effect, healing
our core wounds through astrology,

(01:49):
empathy and self forgiveness.
So I'm looking forward to doing this. So
without further ado, let me bring her up
here
to
officially welcome you, Lisa to Lid love engaged.
Hi, Gloria Grace. Thank you so much for
having me on today. I am delighted to
be here. Oh, well, I'm
really intrigued. I've been doing a lot of,

(02:11):
well, I would say, especially this year, really
kind of delving
into,
delving into
core wounds, dealing, emotional blockages,
ancestral, healing and things like this, and I
and I even had a a session with
an astrology earlier this year, where she she
did mention
Ky and a little bit. But for those

(02:34):
of us for those of you out there,
especially who are watching and listening who maybe
you're not Sham familiar maybe you're not familiar
with astrology, or maybe you are, but maybe
you've never heard of Ky before. I thought
we could start there with you explaining a
little bit about
about what is K? And how does... What
does that have to do with our core
wounds?

(02:54):
Sure. Gloria Grace, I would love to, and
I come to this work as a licensed
psycho
for over 25 years.
For me when I discovered this placement in
our astro
charts, Ky,
which in astronomy,
is designated
as both a minor planet
and as a comet,

(03:16):
and it orbits an elliptical orbit
between the planets of Saturn and uranus. It
was discovered in the seventies
by an astronomer named Charles Cow and he
noted that elliptical orbit, it was the first
heavenly body in its class
noted in astronomy to have that type of

(03:36):
orbit.
Therefore,
it was named K after the Greek Cent
in mythology,
who is the founder of the healing arts.
Of medicine
of therapy, and we all encounter
Ky
and this Greek
kind of nomenclature. When you go to the
doctor and you see the staff of medicine

(03:57):
with the 2 snakes inner inter twin,
Ky gave that staff of medicine
to As,
whom he tutor.
So I found that to be just really
interesting.
Yet, I was curious
when I meditate Ky just started coming up?
As I was asking the question, how do
I help my clients who were really successful

(04:18):
predominantly are living wonderful lives, though they might
stumble a bit emotionally with feeling not good
enough. Or un of the love that they
deeply
desire and are able to give even to
others. Yet it seems like there's a bit
of a disconnection somewhere
in receiving all that they really want, the
abundance, the love, the feeling of value and

(04:41):
worth,
So why I believe it's important for you
to know your Ky placement is that this
placement and your astro birth chart. Ky will
be in 1 of the signs. It will
be in Pis,
Gemini,
cancer,
aquarius,
and it's typically different than your son sign
that you know off the top of your
head most likely when someone asks what your

(05:03):
sign is, knowing your Ky sign helps you
understand this 1 area
on a spectrum on 1 end is vulnerability,
this might be an ouch like just an
out for others of you who have encountered
deeper traumas, sexual abuse,
domestic violence,
profound neglect,

(05:24):
maybe being in different foster homes, for example,
and all that comes with that. That's a
deeper core wounding within yourself, and knowing
displacement reveals
where you need to really support yourself in
your affirmations, and your healing work,
when you start to feel it dip in
your mood, you can source it back to

(05:44):
this area
that you can strengthen yourself. In. How does
that feel to you, Gloria grace that I
share it?
Well, it's
it is so interesting and it and I
do
excited like I said, I've I've done a
little bit of
research in it and and and checking, I
know that you've got some great resources on

(06:04):
on your own.
Website of how you can kinda delve into
this. And I know when I was looking
at mine,
mine is in the sign of Pis and
and which is interesting because is, like, both
my mother and my grandmother
are Pis c's and that that is their
regular sign. Yeah. So I just... I've And
and I know there... There's a lot of

(06:25):
stuff. Let's say, with
with with my...
In in my family and with with how...
And just the generations have been. So it's
it's really interesting, but
I wanna
talk a little bit more or have you
explain now a little bit more of than
So so if we understand this a little
bit and you you get to figure out,

(06:46):
you know, where
where Ky is in your house. But... So
how then does that relate to being able
to
then address these wounds and be able to
heal it? So if I could just take
Ky and Pis that your your place minute
is as an example because I think it
makes it more real. What we're feeling something
personal. So Ky and the sign of Pis

(07:07):
speaks to this vulnerability.
I mean or wounding, if it's a deeper
wound for you, and your struggle for self
care, and that is because
you tend to really love to help others.
It's very authentic. It's very genuine that you
really thrive at seeing where people need to
be supported and going there

(07:27):
yet 2 things tend to happen.
1 is that you deplete yourself and neglect
put on the back burner what might be
better and and a better interest for yourself.
For example, be at the time you spend
helping others
or the links that you go to to
do that, and you become depleted,

(07:48):
and you may even develop a resentment in
the back of your mind that hard to
acknowledge? Because, like, again, you really love being
helpful. It's authentic. But then when you become
depleted, it's like, oh, what about me and
and you might feel even
underappreciated by others. And that can happen because
often
you see this need, that somebody might not
have even asked explicit help with and you

(08:10):
start to fill in those places and spaces,
and somebody might even be like, whoa, like,
kind of not welcome what you're doing. And
for you, it's so natural and and you
feel
underappreciated and might even feel angry. Like, wait.
I'm doing this for you, and it it
turns out the person never asked you to
or you didn't inquire or may I do

(08:31):
this for you? So it think gets sticky
really fast for Yeah. And it has that
been true? I see you guiding your head.
Oh, 0, definitely, and I would say in
the past for sure. And I've gotten better
at, because that is 1 of the things
that I've I've, you know, was definitely
grew up becoming this people please and and
and wanting to take care of people for

(08:53):
sure.
I wound Taking care of my model at
of the times because she had a lot
of health problems when she meets. When I
was a kid,
growing up. And and so that that I
do want to help others, and and 1
thing I struggled with was actually that learning
to ask or help for my self. Yeah.
So I have had to learn how to
do that, and and not just jump in.

(09:15):
And so I've... I've gotten much better at
it and
you know, and it's it's it's all degrees,
and we all have to continue to to
work work on these things, but it's yeah.
It's it's very interesting.
How you're talking about that. And I think
that you doing in your podcast is a
beautiful way to offer to others your wisdom,

(09:36):
what really lights you up in a way
that people receptive. They're coming to you for
it. So I think it's a real match
for you to be seen to be heard
to be valued in the things that you
truly care about, but it doesn't deplete you.
I sense that this really recharge you. So
I think you naturally healed
this Ky placement, which so many people do

(09:58):
letter in the in the healing
professions that are doing shows like yours, wanting
to connect with others. It it... You know,
subconsciously starts to heal those places
where you weren't seen and heard in the
way that you desired and felt depleted. So
Good job, excellent job.
And also share... Yes that you're in good

(10:19):
company with this Ky and Pis mother Teresa.
Had her and the sign of Pis. Now
we see how she was able to beautifully
serve the needs of others at such a
high level while also
caring for herself. And the visual, I wanna
give you, it's in my book is for
Ky rod and Pis

(10:39):
individuals. When you get in the airplane, and
the flight attendant says, put on your oxygen
mask first, Even before your own children, That's
the metaphor. For ky pis. You wanna put
your oxygen mask on first you wanna fill
yourself
and give for more of that overflow rather
than depletion and really feel into that in

(10:59):
your own body, you know it, and then
even share with others who are more than
willing to actually help you refill your love
tank, for example, that, hey, I'm starting to
feel overwhelmed.
I'm gonna need to step back that you'll
fight others really want you to do that.
Oh, that that that... I actually did that
last week. Okay? I'm good... Lab. Because I

(11:21):
was I was on a phone call with...
Someone and and we're we're working on a
on a new project, and she was coming
up with all these wonderful ideas, and I
started just feeling really old for overwhelmed that
I had to say, so time out.
That's like yeah. This this is too much.
We need to dial it back. It's it's
too much for me right now, and and
she was like, oh, okay. Thank you. Thank

(11:41):
you for telling me. So, yeah, So
excellent. Gloria.
And you know the other thing I'd love
to share because I feel like some of
you out there might be wondering this. It's
certainly a question that I... Yeah had before,
I started to really pursue and dive into
the meaning of astrology
and how it can aid us and understanding

(12:02):
ourselves and others, the kinda of roadblock that
I used to have was the
false belief I had. That astrology is trying
to tell me who I am or who
others are. What about free will,
and I really was in that struggle until
I realized, I had this huge download
that we all wrote our astro

(12:22):
charts, we wrote that before we came into
our earthly
existence,
and though we might not remember that since
we are the author and the architect, of
our lives, of our birth charts, it's with
free will and our consciousness
that we can change and choose any
outcomes and potentials for ourself. We just might

(12:44):
have to learn those skills, and that's what
Ky can reveal to you is where you
may need some more skills
and your emotional health and well being in
your mental health. Ky
Speaks to physical health and really needing to
have practices,
to address your physical health and not neglect
it anymore. And so it's really beautiful once

(13:06):
I had that realization that nothing's being told
to me. I I chose these things, and
I can change them. I can grow and
and learn who I need to become to
inhabit the places and spaces that I most
deeply desire to encounter. How does that sit
with you? 0II
think that makes perfect sense because Yeah. I

(13:27):
do I do believe also that we we
chose... You know, I I even feel that
we that we chose our parents specifically. Yeah.
And we chose all of that because there
were
things that we wanted to learn when we
got here. And so to have, you know,
be able to have a certain type of,
environment. That's the word I'm looking for.

(13:48):
Tabitha video, I... In a certain environment to
grow up in and to then be able
to, know, have those lessons and and then
to be able to then learn for them,
but but also be able to make different
choices and Yeah. It it all makes sense.
So... But let, I wanna come back to
something else because, you know, we talked a
lot about astrology here, But in your... The

(14:09):
name of your book, you also talked about
empathy and self forgiveness.
So how does that work in here?
Empathy, self empathy, and self forgiveness are the
keys
to our healing.
At the deepest level is what I discovered.
And I think especially as women, we tend
to harbor layer upon lair, of criticisms

(14:29):
about ourselves, to ourselves and our own self
talk, thinking, it's going to make us better
or show up differently in the future and
it just makes us feel
sad and un worthy and really stressed out
and overwhelmed. And so when my book, I
invite you,
into a self forgiveness process
where you take some time, maybe 15 20

(14:51):
minutes a day, lay a candle, open my
book, have a journal,
and I walk you through
remembering
some of the times in your upbringing, both
where you felt deeply loved,
and where you didn't feel loved. And the
meaning you made about yourself about your worthiness
that maybe I'm not worth protecting, maybe I'm
not worth standing up for. Maybe I'm not

(15:14):
that important.
And it's about undoing those releasing, those beliefs
and replacing,
them with new beliefs that I actually am
worthy invaluable? And therefore,
what does this new belief invite me to
to create in my life. Do I need
to maybe do a little less and have
some more pleasure in my life or might
I d... Need to do something more, and

(15:37):
it's different for all of us how we'd
make those little shifts in our behaviors
and our thoughts and in our belief system.
And so it's really through. I'm just so
sorry you went through that. Is a self
empathy technique that I teach my clients when
a memory comes up. That's really painful. It
might be in your adult life, a relationship
that ended

(15:57):
abruptly,
and it might be in part something you
said or did, and you're feeling badly about
it or maybe the other person
really didn't show up and and never took
responsibility,
just really go into that memory and closing
your eyes,
placing a hand over your heart
and saying I'm just so sorry.
You went through that. To yourself and allow

(16:18):
any feelings to come up, can be a
way to address and give yourself what wasn't
given in that moment
and to go gentle to go easy,
with yourself with some empathy, like, understanding why
you might have said or did that or
didn't say or do something else
and you start to really connect with more
of

(16:39):
what changes will be helpful in the future.
Life will give you a thousand chances or
more to show up differently, so don't feel
you missed the boat. There's another boat as
Abraham hicks says, who I I love to
study. You know, there's another boat. There's another
chance. Like it's not lost.
There's more opportunity you're so loved.
Life is really here to support us and

(17:01):
to start reaching and feeling for that, in
your own life.
Yeah. Absolutely. And I... And I love I
love Abraham as well. Yeah. Saying like that
it's
such
wise
counsel because I think
we
we sometimes get gets... Well, we'll get stuck
in certain thought patterns or we get stuck

(17:22):
in lots of for ways, but you always
remembered that. At any moment, we we can
start over. We... Yeah. In fact, I
yeah. I'd had... I had a wonderful counselor
that I was working with after after my
sister had passed. And and and she would...
Yeah talk about that. You could always start
over. You know, wherever... From wherever you are,

(17:42):
just say, okay, you know, the past is
over, this is... Let's just start from here
and go on. And, yeah. That's so important
to know. So
any of you listening out there are are
or thinking about this and and
just know that
you you get to decide how you wanna
live your life in any moment. And if
you

(18:03):
want to have a better life for yourself,
you know, do you start doing the practices,
you know, that that Lisa is talking about.
And then and then now you can have
that.
You you know, 1 thing I've I've found
and I and I wonder what you... If
you've ever done this or or if you
talk about this at all with your clients
is is actually

(18:23):
creating new memories, you know, taking, like, something
that that happened in the past and just
creating a new story around it. That's beautiful?
Yes. Yes. Absolutely And to visualize that. It
it's so healing
and important to... I'll ask my clients
when they share something that happened and and
release the emotions associated with that? I love

(18:44):
to ask, hey, how would you like that
to of gone? When if you had this
to do over, what would it look like?
And it's important you might not know it
first, but to spend some time. There because
once you can identify what you
wish would have happened. What you intend to
happen, it really prep and set that up
for the next time you're in a similar

(19:06):
experience,
place position that you have that memory of
of how you'd like it to go, and
you're responsible for your portion of that. We...
You know, others are responsible for there, so
it helps to show up as you really
want to show up versus a version of
yourself that you couldn't show up in the
way you now know. So really allowing those

(19:28):
possibilities
for yourself. And Gloria Grace going back to
what you were sharing a few moments ago
about being able to start over, start fresh.
I think really...
What's important in that as well is making
peace was where you are right now.
And that that for me is starting to
become a daily, practice, I wanna be at
peace with where I am

(19:49):
today and not be in the struggle or
an about
where I thought I'd be or should be
or see others in my simpler field being,
and it's like, no. That noise really takes
us out of our joy, like I wanna
make peace with where I am right now
in my life. And even as you say
that, it can feel really soothing.

(20:10):
And it opens up possibilities
to come to your mind to come to
your imagination. You might have an impulse. Oh,
like, let me do that today. And that's
how you really start to live inspired and
connected to a more flow state. You're really
wanting to be at peace with it where
your life is right now.
I,
thank you for sharing that. That is beautiful.

(20:32):
We're welcome.
It's a knee daily practice from a truly.
You know, like, I really wanna
I really wanna I really wanna be happy
with where I am and enjoy and even
reflect on some of the things you've done
to get where you are and some of
the times in the past you did so
well and really affirm yourself more. There's so

(20:52):
much there to mind like gold in your
own life to get yourself some praise and
acknowledgment and affirmation for.
Absolutely because we are usually,
I I think,
especially people who really are, you know, kind
hearted and and not in this... Early a
narcissist. Let's say, we... We're quick to be
able to praise our friends or a family

(21:14):
and, you know, and really reinforce them, but
it's doing that same to ourselves. Sometimes we're...
You know, I'm sure there's lots of people
out there who are great at it. But
I think there's also a other others out
there who who may be
who have a habit of not saying that's
so nice things about ourselves. So to be
able to

(21:35):
switch that and to really consciously
practice self forgiveness that you're talking about to
have, you know, to be... Have empathy for
yourself and yes. They Yeah. You know, let's
let's have... Let's start today, and
I'm okay where Am right now. Let's see
where I can go from here. Yes. I
wanna ask you
what is,

(21:55):
what's a commonly held belief about
maybe maybe,
maybe about astrology, maybe even about
core wounds that you passionately disagree with. I
disagree
that this has to be a dreadful experience.
Coming to therapy,
coming to work with someone

(22:15):
on things that have been painful for you.
A lot of people
put us therapy
because they fear or believe, like, I don't
wanna go there. It was it was so
hard living through. Like I don't wanna talk
about this.
And and it feels
it has so much of a bigger energy
than it needs to with that kind of
perspective

(22:36):
versus to come, to therapist, find a therapist,
a healing professional that you feel
like is really listening to you that you
feel seen
buy and to go through the process ideally
really slowly to unpack thing so that you
can have the bandwidth
to be in your life and and do
your work and be in your relationships. And

(22:57):
if you're a parent to be able to
parent, if you're in a in a romantic
relationship to be a partner that it it
doesn't have to be so deep that you're
overwhelmed and have to kind of full stop
your life and by doing this work gradually
and peacefully and lovingly,
you start to have more of yourself available,
more positive emotion in your life. More just

(23:19):
peace and happiness. So, you know, I disagree
that this has to be really hard.
So to speak. That it's it's really about
loving
yourself more deeply and taking the time out
for you, and I believe that we all
deserve that. And to work with somebody
can be so
awesome, Such a beautiful experience.

(23:40):
Different than the friends you have or the
partner you have. It's a space just for
you
where you don't have to ask back, Like,
well, how are you and and go deeply
into, you know, like, how I'm doing or
or whatever. And that can just be really
refreshing to have a space for yourself.
Yeah. I appreciate you sharing that. And I
wanna ask you if someone listening to this

(24:02):
is, you know, thinking about this. What would...
How would they
go about
trying to find someone to work with? What
what do you recommend people do? How do
you how do you recommend that people make
that stark because it can seem kind of
overwhelming to try to find some someone.
Of course, they can contact you. When we'll
talk about that later, but

(24:23):
it worse I think I think it's it's
it's the cost that usually comes up in
someone's mind first, like, how do I pay
for this. So I think if you... If
you have health
insurance that offers a mental health benefit,
I would reach out and get a list
of providers,
and and call or email the providers or
go on psychology

(24:44):
today dot com where you can read a
little blurb about about us and
you know, reach out and you get a
vibe for how you feel with someone
or if there's somebody you watch say on
social media that you really like what they
offer. You could always reach out if they
do individual sessions or not, And I think
there have been times where,

(25:05):
an author that I love has become a
mentor from afar. Like, I'll really do a
deep dive into their booked. Mary anne Williamson
Is 1 of those authors and teachers that
I've read so many of her books, and
she has a lot of material out on
Youtube.
As does Louise hay, that you can, you
know, kinda work with someone and have the
mentor you without that direct 1 to 1

(25:27):
relationship, but you can really
embrace their work and what they offer you,
and
that might lead you to a person in
fact. As you start to do that work,
reading and in such listening to podcasts on
healing,
life wants to lead you to that that
individual in person. So I would trust the
process, and begin anywhere you feel really

(25:48):
lit up to do that. I love that.
And and I believe you're right is that.
Once you start doing this, once you start
taking care of yourself in that way and
start opening yourself up to... You know, listening
to teachers. I love that. I think that's
great even just good starting with doing a
lot of book reading.
Because I know... I think the first book

(26:08):
I ever read that's sort of in this
type of spiritual vein was 1 by ec
cartel toll. Yeah. The power of now. Yeah.
And that 1 I think really started me
thinking along a different line. And absolutely.
And so that's... What... And then the point
I wanted to make is that,
Then the universe
I find will start to help you and

(26:29):
we'll and we'll give you... Leave you clues
and we'll point you. You'll you'll meet somebody,
maybe, who will then mention something else. And
and then that will trigger something. So just
be open to possibilities
and and just Yeah, Start where you are
if it's a baby step, you need to
take take a baby step and just you
don't, go onto to Youtube or something first,

(26:50):
and, you know, or or check out more
podcast podcasts like this 1. And, you know,
we're like yours. I know you're also a
podcast as well, which I I don't think
I mentioned in your intro,
mentioned talk about that a little bit real
quick. I'll give you give you a minute.
What is your partner? Larry, Grace. And, also,
1 more thing is in the back of
my book. I give a resource.
Section where I recommend therapist,

(27:11):
astro,
like, there's a host of
information about others that I've really learned from
and and appreciated and booked that have really
been meaningful to me. I sourced from as
well, So that's all in the back of
my book for you to to find someone
and my podcast is called all things therapy.
I have 398

(27:31):
episodes, 8 years,
And I'd love talking to you about middle
and emotional health and well being and just
connecting, and thank you for mentioning that, Lori.
No. Yeah. Absolutely. Well, I think it's so
important
for us to talk about mental health.
In in in the past, it it hasn't
been...
Brought up as much and I I feel

(27:52):
it's really,
really important. I mean, I've got, you know,
in my family history
you know, my mom struggled with depression of,
you know, my dad was an alcoholic and,
you know, lots lots of lovely things, but
too often, we kept all these things
swept under a rock and we and hidden

(28:12):
and then. So I...
I wanna be able to bring it out
more into the open and let people know
that you don't have to struggle. You don't
have to suffer.
There is help out there and
take advantage of it. Yes.
Yeah.
I like asking my guests this question.
What are you curious about right now?

(28:34):
That's a really
beautiful question, and I'll be, I'll answer authentically.
I'm really curious.
About
about learning more about love, about romantic love
in my life,
about
partnership being something
that it that would enhance my life rather
than d tracked from it. When we grow
up in a home where there's not a

(28:55):
model for what healthy love looks like. It
can cause some misconceptions, and that was certainly
the case for me. So I'm really interested
to learn and embrace and experience that romantic
love can be a beautiful gift in my
life that allows me to do what I
love,
without having to give up anything. I think

(29:15):
I had that association with it. And
I I really wanna have the experience of
it being supportive mutually, and we both get
to be ourselves fully and and just... I'm
curious about that. How that can be for
me. The Alright. Well, you've put it out
there in the universe now, and so let's
see the the answers will come and and

(29:36):
perhaps we'll find. Find someone like that. So...
Yeah. Well, I love it.
Is there anything else I should have asked
you about that I didn't in work relationship
to
you know, healing her core wants. No. I
feel like this was really comprehensive. I'm curious
what you're curious about If you don't you
don't mind share. That's really a good question.

(29:57):
She flipped she flipped her tables. I mean...
No. No. Let's see. Well, you know what?
I am
I am curious.
Oh, gosh. I'm curious about sell things. I'm
curious about...
What 1 of the things I'm curious about
is is learning more about how how the
brain works.
I'm very fascinated about that. I'm curious about

(30:18):
how
spirituality and science are seem to be coming
together more Yes. Or
and and becoming
more accepted, I think even to him and
that. So... Yeah. So so that's some things
I'm curious about That curious about the future
and what what the future will bring for
us especially?

(30:40):
Especially this year. Any United States election year.
So... Yeah.
