(00:15):
Well, welcome to the Lift Shootpodcast.
My name is Jeff Dol, and I'vebeen a licensed farm dealer for
the last 18 years.
In this podcast, we talk aboutall things related to the Second
Amendment, as well as anythingelse going on in the world.
A sports story or anything elseyou might find interesting.
So welcome, welcome, welcome.
Well, yesterday was opening day.
It's like a second Christmas forme, but the Rangers came up
short bullpen issues, I think.

(00:37):
We'll, we'll have to see howthat goes, but welcome, welcome,
welcome.
It's March 28 and this week'sbeen a roller coaster.
You know, we've got some gutpunches, some victories, and a
whole lot of noise from theusual su suspects.
So little your mags and let'sget going.
So let's start with bad newsbecause I don't wanna sugarcoat
it for you.
On the 26th, the Supreme Courtdropped a seven to two ruling

(01:00):
that got everybody in the gunworld grinding their teeth.
They apel the Biden era, a TFregs on the so-called ghost
guns.
You know, those 80% receiversthat, that kits that you use to
build your own.
Guns without the governmentgrubby hands all over it.
Justice Neil Gorsuch, unfortunately wrote the majority
opinion saying The 68 GunControl Act gives the a TF the

(01:22):
power to slap serial numbers, background checks, and the the
whole nanny state playbook onthese kits only.
Justice Thomas, our great heroand Alito stood tall, so God
bless for them.
So.
You know, these aren't theseuntraceable ghost guns that
people are talking about.
You know, these are, you know, protecting our second amendment

(01:42):
right that shall not beinfringed to make our own
firearms, which we've been doingfor years and years and years.
It's goes back to our foundingfathers, but we'll, you know,
it's not a complete loss.
This wasn't a Second Amendmentcase.
This was a case.
Basically on the administrativeact, meaning that, did the A TF
overstep their authority interms of the way they interpret

(02:07):
the, the, the Gun Control Act?
And did they have the ability tomake these adjustments and these
enforcements?
And unfortunately the justicessaw that in some cases.
That there could be thepotential that people could make
their own firearms.
And so they were really out onthe fringe, but they, they left
the door open that this couldcome back and, and be, be

(02:30):
challenged.
Hopefully, I'm hoping that thenew DOJ under Pam Bondy is just
gonna scrap this that, that ispart of the executive order of
Trump.
And they're supposed to bereviewing all these things and,
but we will, we will see, butit, it's not great.
It would've been better, butthis wasn't a Second Amendment

(02:50):
didn't go to Heller.
You know, review or anythinglike that, you know, it was
just, did the a TF as an agencyhave the, the ability to make
these changes to the law?
So we'll have to wait and see, but, you know, I.
There was some good thathappened this week.
While, you know, they were outba while the Supreme Court was
handling the A TFA win.

(03:12):
The Department of Justice underPam Bond came out swinging for
our side on the 27th.
The DOJ Civil Rights Divisionsannounced they're opening a
federal investigation into theLos Angeles Sheriff's
Department.
I.
Why Dragging their feet onconcealed carry permits and
stopping all over Angelina'ssecond amendment, right.
The DOJ calling out undueburdens, you know those endless
wait times and red tape thatturned constitutional rights

(03:34):
into a privilege for theconnected and this, and get
this, they sided gun owners ofAmerica's legal victory as a
spark.
And that's right, OA is outthere winning and now the feds
are taking notice.
That doesn't stop there.
The DOG double down sayingthey're launching a broader
review of restrictive gun lawsin California and beyond.
Pam's team is on a mission tohold these blue state tyrants

(03:56):
accountable.
It feels like.
Anyway, we'll see.
Post on gun.
I.
X from gun owners of America arelighting up with the news and
the NR a's clapping from thesidelines.
So this is the kind of firepowerwe've been praying for since the
Trump admin took and CashPatel's still running the A TF,
like a Patriot and with Bondy'sbacking him up.
We might just see the agenciesJack Book days numbered.

(04:18):
We will see still.
I'm still holding my breath, butwe will see.
Now let's zoom out to thestates.
Because the, the fight's beenheating up there too.
And New Mexico Republicans arelocked and loaded against a gun
control bill that could ban ARfifteens and other rifles that
left that the left loves todemonize no word yet on if it's
passed.
But the fact is, even on thetable as patriots, even if it's

(04:41):
on on the table, the Patriotsare rallying.
Meanwhile, Colorado's barrelingdown some of the toughest gun
laws in the country.
Think.
Think ban on detach mags.
Governor Jared Post is expectingto sign that garbage into law
any day Now proving once again, the Democrats don't give a dang
about our rights and over inCalifornia.
Surprise, surprise, they'recooking up a bill.

(05:03):
Required background checks forbuying barrels.
Barrels of all things.
Yeah, you heard that, right?
Not guns, not ammo, just thetube ex posts from folks like
richer 88 are tracking thisnonsense and it's perfect.
A perfect example of how theseclowns will regulate anything
they can touch.
But with a DOG sniffing round,maybe C is about to get a a, a,

(05:25):
a, a reality check will keephoping, fighting the West coast
Patriots, you've, you've gotbacking now.
So where did that leave us?
Spring Goat Court case was akick in the teeth, but it does
seem like things are lookingbetter.
The DOJ is stepping up.
They've actually stepped up.
That's a game changer.
Bondy's got an extended deadlineto dismantle Biden's anti-gun

(05:48):
Legacy, and Patel's got the a TFon a leash.
For now.
So put Congress, but congress isstill buzzing about national
concealed carry, re reciprocity.
Two bills were in play thisweek.
The one dropped off per Xchatter point is the momentum
shifting our we.
So it's, it's a proof this week, you know that the second
amendment isn't just a Right,it's a battlefield.

(06:10):
We've got enemies in highplaces, but we've got warriors
too.
The listeners like this on thisshow are holding our line so.
Hit us up, email me, text me,whatever you need to do, let me
know what you're seeing outthere and we will keep fighting.
So that's it for this week.
Freedom Fighters, the SupremeCourt might have sold us out,
but the DOJs got our six, sowe'll see where things go.

(06:32):
Keep your guns closed, yourpowder dry, and your voice loud.
This is the Live to ShootDefending the Second Amendment
podcast.
And I'm Jeff Doll signing off.
Stay armed, stay free and Godbless America.
