FRANK M. CALO is an award-winning Producer, Director, and Writer with over three decades of experience across Theater, Film, Reality TV, Episodics, and Documentaries. Known for his versatility and vision, Frank’s film The Believer, starring Ryan Gosling, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001.
Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Robert De Niro, Madonna, Demi Moore, Mike Myers, Shelly Winters, Marlon Brando, Queen Latifah, and Danny Glover. Early in his career, Frank was one of only six directors personally mentored by the legendary Elia Kazan.
Today, he pays that mentorship forward. Frank’s passion for the craft and commitment to nurturing talent continues to leave a lasting impact on the next generation of creators. Frank is currently directing TO LIFE, a powerful new stage play that marks his return to the heart of true storytelling. The production explores the raw struggles, tribulations, and triumphs of life, spotlighting the emotional core of the human experience.
