About Paula:
Ever since she can remember, Paula has had a deep and genuine passion for the elderly and has spent the past 3 decades of her life working to make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia, along with assisting their family members and caregivers with the arduous caregiving journey set before them.
Paula graduated from Pepperdine University, earning her B.S. in Leisure Science/Recreation with an emphasis in Gerontology. She maintains 3 certifications through Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care - Trainer, Consultant, and Advanced Consultant. Throughout her career, Paula has worked as an activity assistant, activities therapist, adult day program director, and long-term care administrator and is currently a dementia caregiver consultant - she has also volunteered as a facilitator of multiple Alzheimer's Association's caregiver support groups since the mid-90s.
Through her years of working with people living with dementia and their tireless caregivers, she has learned the profound value of quality caregiver support. Paula’s mission is to help caregivers get the support & stability they need and to gain the confidence they have within to make the best choices for their loved ones - in order for them to live more enjoyable lives.
